Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Do You Want to Cooperate with Me?

”Is the Demon King Descent really three years away?

Three years later, what will the world turn into?

I hope the Hero can safely solve the problem of the Demon King.”

Muttering to himself, Fuer carefully folded the letter in his hand and slipped it into the notepad’s slot.

Honestly, Fuer didn’t want any interactions with the Hero.

The Hero would eventually defeat the Demon King and become the hero of this world.

Even if he was compelled by circumstance, the world-saving Hero would surely be entangled in worldly fame and fortune.

Those who became his companions would undoubtedly become rich and powerful too.

Not only would they have no worries about food and clothing, but they would also hold a certain amount of influence.

However, Fuer was indifferent to these things; he just wanted to live peacefully, to receive the baptism of knowledge in the library, to understand more about this world, and to do his bit to protect the treasure trove of knowledge that was the All Things Library.

If it weren’t for his uncle repeatedly emphasizing the rarity of the opportunity, he wouldn’t have investigated completely unrelated people and sought to contact the Hero ahead of most others.

Tidying up his things, Fuer placed the notebook into a compartment between the shelves, ready to relax with a book in the library.

At that moment, a pleasant doorbell rang from outside, and Fuer took out a brown box from the coffee table, retrieving a Crystal Ball.

In the smooth Crystal Ball, a young adventurer awaited at his front door.

Upon closer inspection, Fuer realized that it was the man he had tirelessly searched for, the one who had created those interesting expression packs.

Fuer had sought out Yang Yu many times, but every time he went to see Yang Yu, something unexpected happened, preventing him from actually meeting him in person.

Finally, when Fuer heard Yang Yu was holding a press conference, he arranged his schedule to meet him, but due to the sudden sellout of the expression pack Crystal Balls, he had to leave midway to find a cooperating Magician to urge them to produce more.

Fuer could never have imagined that such a small quirky idea would completely explode in the market.

The Crystal Balls containing expression packs not only became a trend in the library but also started to spread within the territory of the library.

The ”scalpers” played an indispensable role in this.

Library Contribution Value and Gold Coin could be exchanged, and theoretically, as long as you had enough money, you could become a Five-Star member of the Library. So, many ordinary members of the Library turned to buy low and sell high, sensing that these expression pack Crystal Balls could fetch a good price.

Without a second thought, these ”scalpers” pooled their relations to stock up on the item and marketed them one-on-one to officials entering and leaving the Library.

And these officials, to highlight their uniqueness, would certainly flaunt them, inducing a series of chain reactions.

Expression pack Crystal Balls replacing traditional Crystal Balls seems to be a trend that will soon become mainstream.

Seeing the profit potential, a large number of imitation products would probably appear soon.

By that time, it would also be time for product iteration.

Capable of drawing such quirky expression packs, there was only one person in the world. Product iteration required his cooperation.

Thus, Fuer had been very focused on Yang Yu’s matters, but by the time he reached the press conference, Yang Yu had already vanished.

After thinking and inquiring, Fuer decided to wait at Yang Yu’s frequented restaurant, but he waited all day without seeing Yang Yu come to dine, so he then went to Yang Yu’s dormitory to look for him, waiting till midnight without Yang Yu’s return.

After asking around, Fuer learned that yesterday, Yang Yu had a conflict with the Law Enforcement Team due to a Demon matter and was afterward nowhere to be found.

So, early this morning, Fuer sought out Ying Luo to ask about the situation, but Ying Luo knew nothing about where Yang Yu and his team had gone.

Without any choice, Fuer reluctantly left the time and place where they could meet and returned to the villa.

After waiting so long, he thought Yang Yu wouldn’t visit today, but no sooner had Fuer thought to leave, Yang Yu arrived.

Clearing away his gloom, Fuer stood up and warmly welcomed Yang Yu into the villa.

Inviting Yang Yu to sit opposite him at the coffee table, Fuer brought out fine black tea and desserts to serve him.

After Yang Yu finished his tea, he got straight to the point,

”Mr. Fuer, I’ve heard about your situation; there’s no need to be so formal. Last night, I was busy and didn’t sleep all night. Hearing that you were looking for me, I came over without stopping. Just tell me what you need, so I can go back to rest afterwards.”

”Then I will follow your wishes.”

Fuer had originally wanted to exchange pleasantries before gradually transitioning to the main topic, but seeing how direct Yang Yu was, he didn’t beat around the bush anymore,

”You must have heard about the recent big sales of the expression pack Crystal Balls. I deeply apologize for using your expression packs without your permission and will properly compensate you in due course.

As for why I asked you here... it’s to discuss a potential partnership...”

Without hesitation, Yang Yu picked up a piece of cookie and said with a smile:

”Partnering isn’t out of the question. The key still lies in seeing your sincerity; I’m not someone who provides artwork for others to make money without compensation.”

”Of course, I understand that. To sustain a long-term partnership, we must establish a fair profit-sharing plan. I’ve been trying to reach you for this matter. I have already prepared several proposals...”

Fuer showed great sincerity in every aspect, even the cookies Yang Yu put in his mouth were of premium quality, not far off from the ones made by Chilom.

Swallowing the cookie, Yang Yu stopped Fuer from continuing, displaying a generous demeanor as he said:

”I have felt your sincerity.

Those expression packs were just a spur of the moment thing for me; I really don’t mind just giving them to you.

Rather than that, I have some real cooperative projects I want to discuss with you, if Mr. Fuer is interested.”

”What kind of projects?”

”To correct that, instead of projects, it’s more accurate to say they are money-making ideas.

I’d like to talk to you about the future.

Mr. Fuer, you managed to embed those expression packs into Crystal Balls and create a popular product, which proves you have a good business sense.

If these ideas are in your hands, I believe they can truly shine and change the world.

But implementing these ideas also has its own difficulties.

Are you truly interested?”

Yang Yu’s face showed a meaningful smile, and Fuer, looking into Yang Yu’s eyes, saw an indescribable confidence, as if Yang Yu was simply retelling an already successful case to him, encouraging him to follow the model,

”Of course, I’m interested. What kind of ideas are they? I’d like to hear more.”

Fuer hadn’t become a nouveau riche and become smug about it; instead, he remained humble and polite in front of Yang Yu, which greatly increased Yang Yu’s favorable impression of him. After all, it wouldn’t take much time to expand his worldview.
