Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 275: Chapter 275: This is My Escape Route

Flashes of blades and shadows of swords, Yang Yu’s attacks swept through the parking lot like a tornado, striking furiously against the Light of God Destruction.

The Light of God Destruction ceased converting He Meng’s magic power into its own black energy and instead focused on defense, observing Yang Yu’s actions and looking for his vulnerability.

Perhaps due to the continuous swinging of the sword causing fatigue, Yang Yu’s movements suddenly slowed, and he carelessly swung his sword blade through thin air.

Finally, the moment Light of God Destruction had been desperately waiting for arrived.

Without a word, it dropped its defensive posture and, controlling He Meng’s body, leaped suddenly, spinning like a top at high speed towards Yang Yu.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Yu sank down, confidently raising his shield to absorb the blow from the Light of God Destruction.

The Light of God Destruction, controlling He Meng’s body, spread out along the direction of rotation, instantly flattening into a giant disk and enveloping Yang Yu from all directions, entangling Yang Yu’s arm that held the shield.

Raising the shield, Yang Yu slammed it towards the ground with force.

Seizing the right moment, the Light of God Destruction took advantage of Yang Yu raising his shield and gathered the controlled black energy of He Meng on Yang Yu’s shield, constructing a miniature cannon, into which it transformed itself into a projectile.

Almost instantly, Light of God Destruction adjusted the cannon’s direction and fired at the unsuspecting Kaka.

With the projectile moving so rapidly, Kaka saw it too late to avoid, the tiny black pellet striking his chest with no way to evade it.

Several black threads extracted from the ”pellet,” like tenacious vines, wrapped tight around Kaka’s entire body.

The Light of God Destruction couldn’t help but emit a sharp, mocking laughter,

”Hmm hmm hmm—ahahaha—such a wise one can still overlook something. Bet you didn’t see this coming, did you? This is my escape route! You are truly foolish, actually giving me an opportunity.”

Possessing Fairy King Kaka’s body didn’t require much effort from Light of God Destruction, it simply had to attach to him, and it could then use Kaka’s own magic power to create black energy and complete the manipulation.

The outcome had been decided the moment it collided with Kaka.

”This is the biggest mistake you’ll ever make in your life!

Whether it’s letting me possess Kaka’s body, granting me the power to command black energy to re-form black creatures, or deciding to kill the King of Elves right here, you won’t face any good outcomes, only to meet despair alone.

Not just anyone can become the King of Elves.

I’ve already investigated thoroughly, he is the last King of Elves; if you kill him, the Fairy’s Guardian Barrier will trigger a special emergency measure causing both worlds to be completely cut off; you’ll never be able to return to the human world.

Choose, what are you going to do now? Let me go and bring despair upon the world, or die here in Fairyland with your companions?”

Light of God Destruction expected to see Yang Yu’s pained face of indecision but instead found Yang Yu smiling with composure.

”What are you laughing at? In this situation, no matter what you choose, you will experience despair, and in the end, victory will be mine... huh? What?”

The voice of Light of God Destruction abruptly stopped.

It tried to inject despair into Kaka’s body, endlessly producing black energy, but found that Kaka seemed to be encased in a protective film; no matter how it sprayed out the dense liquid, it was blocked by the film and couldn’t touch Kaka’s body, failing to tarnish the real Kaka.

”What on earth is going on? What exactly have you done?”

Faced with the question from the Light of God Destruction, Kaka responded with nothing but a cold gaze.

”You thought you found a hope for escape, not knowing that you had already fallen into our trap.”

With open arms, Kaka’s body burst into a golden glow, spreading outward, forming a dazzling sphere of light.

”The way you tainted me, I remember it vividly. My body has long been covered with my Magic Power, just waiting for you to take the bait.”

The Light of God Destruction realized that something was wrong. It tugged at the black lines, trying to escape, but found it was already stuck fast to Kaka’s Magic Power, and no matter how hard it pulled, it couldn’t break free.

The sphere of light completely imprisoned the Light of God Destruction, and then it separated from Kaka’s body, turning into an extremely hard cage.

The outcome had already been decided the moment the Light of God Destruction collided with Kaka.

Yang Yu revealed a schadenfreude smile on his face, ”This time, you’re utterly defeated. Please remember this lesson, that some obvious flaws are likely deliberately revealed as a lure for entrapment. However, it looks like you won’t have the chance to learn from this lesson.”

From the beginning, Yang Yu was prepared to use Kaka as bait.

Yang Yu had never been able to determine the true form of the Light of God Destruction and had to be ready for anything.

If the Light of God Destruction had no physical form, resembling a ghost or a spiritual being, someone adept in Magic was essential.

The ”Fairy Cage” Skill, although the imprisonment time would be shortened if attacked from within, could last indefinitely if used to imprison something without a physical form.

And if Kaka made a move, the Light of God Destruction would certainly try to taint Kaka again.

A little trickery was all it took to lead the Light of God Destruction into the trap.

Thus, after climbing out of Lake Baikal, Yang Yu immediately called on Kaka to set this trap with him, waiting for the Light of God Destruction to leap into the fire pit.

Of course, if Yang Yu could destroy the Light of God Destruction with his own attacks, he would choose to vanquish it alone, to avoid putting the Fairy King into danger.

It couldn’t be helped, two out of the three tasks were issued by Kaka. If Kaka died by accident, he would suffer a great loss.

However, the fact proved that the Light of God Destruction attached to He Meng was more resilient than imagined, with impeccable Defense, forcing Yang Yu to deliberately expose a flaw to trap it.

Slowly bringing his hands together, the cage shrank along with Kaka’s movements, reducing the Light of God Destruction’s range of activity.

The Light of God Destruction exerted all its strength, slamming into the increasingly smaller cage.

Alas, having lost a significant amount of Black Energy for protection, it eventually became like the other Black Energies, unable to move the walls of the cage no matter how hard it struck.

Yang Yu never took his eyes off the Light of God Destruction, as a Sharp chill emanated from his sword, poised and ready to harvest the Light of God Destruction’s Experience Value.

Just then, the Light of God Destruction shifted from its previous arrogance and cried out,

”Wait! I accept my defeat. Please show mercy. I have only from the lengthy passage of years come to possess something that can be called self-awareness, my own life, and I do not wish to die like this.

If you could spare my life, I am willing to be your servant.”
