Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 268: Chapter 268: Smashing a Hole

The darkness-imbued creature born from the Core was extremely powerful.

If it could not be obliterated into debris by formidable firepower, those dark creatures would repeatedly use the Black Energy to regenerate.

Their exceedingly fragile Core was their only weakness.

As long as the position of the Core was identified and shattered with one strike, no matter how much blood was left, they would perish instantly.

The Light of God Destruction was not a mere Black Energy; it was a will born from the Black Energy.

Taking into account those Slime-like Black Energy creatures in the underground ruins, Yang Yu speculated that even if all the Cores inside the Light of God Destruction were destroyed, it could likely solidify into an entity based on its own consciousness, retaining a certain strength.

If the roots were not eradicated after cutting down the grass, it would undoubtedly make a comeback after many years.

Undoubtedly, if the existing Cores inside the Light of God Destruction were destroyed, its strength would greatly diminish.

By then, even he would have enough opportunity to bring it down.

Before they were consumed, the attributes of Light of God Destruction kept expanding, and its body became extremely tenacious.

No matter how Yang Yu attacked, he couldn’t cut through that tough skin, so, he simply gave up trying to find the Core from the outside.

Since the exterior approach was not viable, he decided to try to dismantle it from the inside, just like dismantling that black bubble before.

The problem was that the mouth of the Light of God Destruction was too small. Allowing the Light of God Destruction to bite into it like that was not smart, it was more like giving oneself away to death, as if he didn’t die fast enough.

Fortunately, the more Black Energy the Light of God Destruction accumulated, the larger its size became.

As long as it was big enough, entering inside it to have a good time would be easy, wouldn’t it?

Thus, Yang Yu deliberately irritated the Light of God Destruction, purposefully leading it to become big and hard, big enough to swallow them all whole at once.

However, Yang Yu didn’t expect the battle to go so smoothly.

That Light of God Destruction even seemed to find them distasteful and coated them in a layer of powdered sugar.

Emerging from the half eggshell, the surrounding Black Energy effortlessly lifted Yang Yu’s body like the sea, he swept his arms, leaving the ”eggshell”, looking at the world like a newly hatched chick.

Not far from him were two equally gigantic Cores, emitting a faint glow.

The Cores were not transparent, and the situation inside could not be seen, but Cores of such size were characteristic of Humans.

Without hesitation, Yang Yu drew his sword and pierced the two Cores.

But inside the Cores were not Bai Jin and Iyas, but two men he did not recognize at all.

emmm...

What happened? Could Black Energy alter a person’s gender?

After opening the panel and confirming that the two were not Bai Jin and Iyas, Yang Yu breathed a sigh of relief and continued to navigate through the darkness, roaming within it.

Yang Yu also wanted to rescue Bai Jin and Iyas as soon as possible, to discuss some matters, but in the darkness, there were innumerable Cores emitting a faint glow. From a distance, those Cores appeared like stars in the sky, indistinguishable in size.

Without much hesitation, Yang Yu decided to first look for Fairy King Kaka.

Just relying on Fairy King Kaka, the Light of God Destruction created such a massive entity, which was enough to illustrate the Special attribute of Fairy King Kaka.

Finding Kaka as soon as possible was the only effective way to reduce the strength of the Light of God Destruction.

Of course, there were other reasons why Yang Yu had made Kaka his first target...

Kaka was the Fairy King. The corruptions’ Core he had turned into was definitely different from the Cores formed by other fairies and would be easy to spot.

Surveying the glowing Cores around him, Yang Yu eagerly searched for the one that stood out from the rest.

Perseverance paid off. Among the many dim Cores, he finally found one with bits of golden light emanating from it.

Intuition told him that it was very likely the Core that Fairy King Kaka had been corrupted into.

Straining through the Darkness with a breaststroke, Yang Yu swam towards the Core that glimmered with flecks of gold.

That Core was only the size of a palm, barely big enough to hold a fairy, let alone anything else.

The Light of God Destruction’s body was primarily constructed based on Kaka’s shape, and Yang Yu didn’t know what the Fairy King trapped within the Core had turned into.

In the hospital, Yang Yu had seen an infected person covered head-to-toe as if thrown into oil jumping out of a window; however, when destroying a Core, a pale fairy had fallen out.

Yang Yu couldn’t judge what state Fairy King Kaka had turned into—whether he had turned into a viscous black Slime or irreparably turned pure white, but action was his only option.

If all else failed in the end, he would simply destroy all the Cores.

If Fairy King Kaka were aware of his current situation, he would definitely ask Yang Yu to help him escape this suffering and stop the harm being inflicted on the beautiful Fairyland.

Yang Yu gently tapped the golden-glowing Core with the side of his sword. A small crack appeared, and he quickly took out a hammer from the System and gently knocked a hole in the tiny Core.

Peering through the small opening, Yang Yu saw the familiar Fairy King. He wasn’t enveloped in oily black energy, nor had he turned into an irreparable white form—he was still in his original state.

He clenched his eyes tightly, his face contorted in pain as if struggling against something.

Yang Yu took out a bottle from the System filled with a golden liquid.

Although he really didn’t want to use this potion again, it seemed to be the only thing that could save Kaka now—there was no choice but to use it.

He opened the cork and poured drops of the golden liquid into the Core, then opened the System to quietly observe Kaka’s Status.

The despair that had consumed Kaka vanished one second, only for a new despair to envelop him the next. The Fairy King Kaka’s eyes remained tightly shut; he didn’t awaken.

It wasn’t an issue with the potion.

Fairies were too sensitive to Black Energy, and it seemed that only by overcoming the despair entrenched in their hearts, much like Yang Yu had, would the Fairy King be able to open his eyes.

However, they couldn’t wait that long—who knew when Fairy King Kaka would overcome the despair in his heart?

So, Yang Yu had an idea.

He took out several bottles of Revive Elixir and found a larger bottle to mix them all together.

Since a bit wasn’t working, he would spare no expense today.

Immerse you in the Revive Elixir—anytime you feel despair, the Elixir will immediately Dispel it. I refuse to believe you won’t awaken.

Ready, Yang Yu reached towards Fairy King Kaka with the intention of stuffing the Fairy King directly into the bottle.

But as Yang Yu completely broke the Core and held Fairy King Kaka in his hands, thick Black Energy emerged from Kaka, crawling up Yang Yu’s arm, and a flood of memories that weren’t his own filled his mind.
