The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1692: Chapter 1692: Amadeus Discovers Nathalie in Inderia

The secretary was just about to leave.

He called the person back.

”President?”

Torre’s face twitched, hand pressed against his brow bone, and although he was skeptical, he cautiously instructed, ”Especially that girl named Nathalie Quinlan!”

”Find someone to thoroughly investigate her. See if she has any other connections we might not know about.”

At present, the information in his hand shows that the group from Country Z is all involved in scientific research or education.

Connections?

These backgrounds wouldn’t count as connections in Inderia.

Yet the Naughty Gang firmly insists that Nathalie Quinlan is connected to the Kingsleys Family.

Kingsleys Family...

Torre couldn’t afford to provoke such a family.

But at the same time, he couldn’t believe that an overseas bumpkin could be linked to such a family, and not just know a distant relative from the side branches.

The people from Naughty Gang explained it very clearly to him over the phone, they saw actual members of the Kingsleys Family!

The core members of the Kingsleys Family are extremely low-key, rarely seen at banquets big or small in Inderia, how could someone from overseas have a Kingsleys Family member in her room?

”Investigate what else she might be involved in besides studying at Tsinghua University.”

In an isolated three-story villa in Inderia.

The white decor was simple and clear, the furniture inside was quite tasteful, and a meter-high blue and white porcelain vase on the shelf created a striking visual contrast with the black sofa not far away.

”Amadeus.” Vincent Moore had just come back from a phone call outside and saw the young man who hadn’t slept all night getting ready to go upstairs for some rest. He looked up and reported, ”Zed Moore just called to tell me that Master Cadmus’s people offended Torre, and Torre seems to have found someone to take revenge.”

Alfred Garland also hadn’t rested for a day and a night, and he was dozing off just standing there. He just went to the kitchen to make a pot of tea.

As soon as he came out, he heard what Vincent Moore was saying.

”Master Cadmus’s team?”

”Yes.” Vincent Moore saw he had tea in hand and brazenly took a cup, gulped it down, feeling much better, then relaxed his brow, and said casually, ”I heard they put down ten billion to compete for something Torre wanted to auction. Specifically, Zed Moore didn’t clarify over the phone; I got the impression that’s roughly what happened.”

Alfred Garland, being generous, didn’t mind him taking his cup of tea. He turned and put the remaining tea on the table, then stood there stunned, looking at him with surprise, ”Does Master Cadmus’s team have such big spenders?”

Vincent Moore walked over to pour himself another cup of tea. This time he didn’t drink as ravenously; he took a small sip, then looked up the stairs at Amadeus Yancey, ”That’s what Zed Moore said to me.”

Amadeus Yancey’s eyes initially had a cloud of weariness from lack of sleep, not wanting to deal with these minor matters, intending to leave them for Vincent and the others to handle themselves.

He didn’t pay attention to the two in the villa until he heard Vincent Moore mention taking out ten billion to seize goods, then his eyebrows lightly furrowed. He then ignored the two in the villa, took out his phone, and sent out a message while lowering his gaze.

It didn’t take long for Amadeus Yancey to receive a reply.

He looked down.

[QN: No.]

A simple one-word reply.

Nathalie Quinlan couldn’t be bothered to type even one more word.

Seeing her concise WhatsApp message, Amadeus Yancey’s thin lips curled up slightly, imagining Nathalie’s lazy demeanor when responding to his message.

But his smile paused slightly, his sharp gaze scrolling back up, rereading the message he sent.

[You’re not in McKinney?]

The reply from Nathalie a minute ago was—[No.]

The answer was self-evident.
