The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1653: Chapter 1653: Nathalie: Do You Know Lynette Kingsley?

But the girl was wearing a sweater and a duckbill cap, with her hands in her pockets, carrying nothing but a black single shoulder bag on her shoulder.

That aura of dominance—who else could it be but Nathalie Quinlan?

”Why are you here?” Ivy Wilmar thought of her younger brother’s situation, still held a grudge against Nathalie, and couldn’t pretend nothing had happened. She asked with a tense expression.

Raymond Wilmar maintained his stoic demeanor, saying nothing, his face expressionless, while his sharp, critical eyes focused on the girl.

”Nathalie, why did you come over?” Myles Sullivan acted more naturally than the other two, walking over and saying gently, ”Are you here for a meal?”

Nathalie Quinlan had yet to speak.

He added, ”Are you here alone? No friends with you?”

Myles Sullivan’s eyes and brows relaxed, seemingly making a sincere offer: ”Today is your Grandma Wilmar’s birthday, and we’re having a banquet here. Since you’re alone and not with any friends, how about having lunch at your Grandma Wilmar’s?”

As soon as he finished speaking,

Raymond Wilmar’s expression slightly changed. He thought of his younger son, whom Nathalie had sent to prison and hadn’t been released yet, causing a deep resentment to gnaw at him. Considering his own current plight, with no one from the Yancey Family willing to come,

While Nathalie’s relationship with the Yancey Family was quite close.

Especially her relationship with Amadeus Yancey... it was exceptional.

Taking a deep breath, weighing the pros and cons, she forced herself to muster a ’kind’ expression and chimed in, ”Yes, since you’re already here, why not come in and join us for the meal? I’ll have your uncle arrange a place for you.”

”No need to eat, I’m here to find someone.” The girl under the sweater’s hat had a fiercely refined face, her sharp black eyes directed at Raymond Wilmar, asked concisely, ”Do you know Lynette Kingsley?”

Raymond Wilmar’s face suddenly changed drastically, his brow instantly furrowed, and he quickly changed his attitude, saying coldly, ”Nathalie Quinlan, today is my birthday banquet, don’t come here looking for trouble.”

Nathalie wasted no words, pulled out her phone from her pocket, and played a recorded conversation she had intercepted in the Black Box right in front of her.

It was that part which directly mentioned Raymond Wilmar’s name.

The recording was not long, only a few seconds.

But Raymond Wilmar reacted violently, initially trying to maintain an elder’s facade then his expression drastically changed upon hearing the recording, harshly asked her, ”Where did you get this recording from?”

Instead of just asking, he even tried to reach out to grab the phone.

Nathalie promptly put the phone away, speaking slowly and nonchalantly, repeating that calm question, ”Do you know Lynette Kingsley?”

Myles Sullivan hadn’t figured out what was going on, feeling torn between the sides, turned and asked Raymond Wilmar, ”Mom, what just happened with that recording? Was that person they mentioned you?”

Raymond Wilmar said nothing, but her face was still dark, her gaze at Nathalie was unmistakably vicious.

Myles Sullivan, seeing her reaction, was almost certain the ’Raymond Wilmar’ mentioned in Nathalie’s recording was indeed his mother-in-law.

He then rubbed his temples, somewhat helplessly trying to smooth things over with Nathalie, ”Nathalie, could you have mistaken someone? There are so many people with the same name outside, it might not necessarily be your Grandma Wilmar they were talking about, perhaps someone with the same name.”

Nathalie raised her eyelids, her eyes fairly irritable.

Since obtaining the Black Box’s recording, she wanted to come and ask the Wilmar Family.

It was only because she had been busy going to McKinney to pick up something, she had pushed this matter back a bit.
