The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1657: Chapter 1657: An Airport Pickup for Nothing

”This time I’m sending you mainly to introduce you to some people in Inderia, it will be beneficial for your future.”

Nathalie Quinlan looked calm and just responded with a ’hmm’.

Shawn Norton reached out to pat her on the shoulder again, looking at her lovingly, and said, ”Of course, you don’t need to worry too much. Once you get there, Master Cadmus, your dad, and I will all protect you. It’s not that scary over there anyway, at least they don’t eat people.”

He intentionally teased her with the last sentence, worrying that Nathalie might be under too much pressure.

Nathalie lifted her eyelids, showing none of the anxiety Shawn imagined about going to Inderia. She casually slipped her hand into her pocket: ”I know.”

”Uh? You know?” Shawn was somewhat puzzled by her composed and confident ’I know’.

Nathalie didn’t let him delve into it and changed the topic: ”Besides that, do I need to prepare some identity information?”

”Ah, yes, yes, yes.” Only then did Shawn remember, laughing: ”I would have forgotten if you hadn’t mentioned it. Just a moment.”

He ran to get a form and handed it to Nathalie: ”Fill this out when you have time, we need to submit it to Inderia for review.”

Nathalie skimmed through the document at a glance, which included detailed personal identity information, home address, and life experience...

Seeing her looking over the information on the form, Shawn relaxed and told her: ”You don’t need to worry too much, it’s mainly for you to fill out some basic information. Inderia is strict about checking, not just anyone can go. They just don’t want irrelevant people to mix in.”

While he was talking, Nathalie had finished reading the contents of the form, getting an idea, she put the documents away, and told Shawn: ”Got it, I’ll fill it out and give it to you in a couple of days.”

”No rush on this.” Shawn beamed and waved his hand, not rushing her: ”You grew up in McKinney, there’s not much they could check. I’m just having you fill this form as a procedure, Inderia should pass it directly.”

”Mm.”

Nathalie wasn’t too concerned about being cleared to go to Inderia.

Because she had already wiped her information clean, no one could find out more than she wanted them to know.

She was confident.

Inderia would be the same.

They won’t be able to find anything!

Her record will be squeaky clean, as simple as can be.

...

Nathalie didn’t stay long at Tsinghua University, she received a call from Amadeus Yancey not long after getting the documents.

”Huh? I’m not at the airport, I changed my flight and arrived early. Now?” She walked aside to take the call, looking up at the people in the office, crossing her arms, and feeling quite lazy: ”I’m at school, got a few things to handle.”

”Finished yet?”

The man’s voice on the phone was low, mellow, slightly raspy, and very pleasant to hear.

Nathalie almost felt her ears getting pregnant, raising her eyebrows, her black eyes clear and calm: ”Almost.”

She looked at Shawn still communicating with Jackson Wafford, and added: ”Just a little left, it’ll be done in half an hour at most.”

”I’ll come to pick you up.” After all, he went to the airport in vain.

Nathalie didn’t respond yet.

The man’s voice on the phone continued steadily: ”Grandpa was worried you hadn’t eaten lunch, so he booked a room at the Imperial Hotel, and they’re already there.”

Nathalie lowered her lashes, her brows gradually relaxed. She raised her hand to rub her temples: ”Then come pick me up, I’m planning to see Grandpa Yancey too.”
