The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1677: Chapter 1677: Suddenly Letting Them In Again

”Let Mr. Norton return first, we’ll discuss countermeasures when we’re back in the room, making a fuss now will only make others laugh at us.”

Jackson Wafford looked around and saw quite a few people in the lobby on the first floor glancing their way; he rubbed his temples and said, ”Got it, I’ll go call Mr. Norton.”

...

Nathalie Quinlan was eavesdropping nearby and basically figured out what was going on.

She hadn’t thought that the Quarles Family had joined the Inderia’s Chamber of Commerce Alliance, she never expected that even after the Quarles Family was finished, the Chamber of Commerce people were still jumping out to seek presence.

She leaned lazily against the wall, her long legs curved casually, pulling up a shallow arc of her lips, one hand in her pocket, while the other sent a message to @ilovebeingskinny on her phone.

A few minutes later, Jackson Wafford returned with Shawn Norton.

Shawn Norton’s face was grim, lips tightly pressed, saying not a word, apparently too angry to speak.

Master Cadmus silently patted his shoulder.

Then he looked up and said to the others, including Nathalie Quinlan, ”Let’s go back first!”

Everyone was very disheartened, nowhere near the cheerful ease from when they had called Nathalie Quinlan to come down and join the gathering.

Just as everyone was about to head towards the elevator.

Suddenly, a voice stopped them.

”Honored guests, please wait a moment!” The person rushing out was the doorman who had previously stopped Shawn Norton from entering.

The doorman, like a changed man, approached them with a respectful attitude: ”My apologies, you may go in now.”

”?” Shawn Norton was puzzled by his inconsistent attitude, unable to figure out what they were playing at?

He instinctively looked towards Master Cadmus: ”Master Cadmus, what do you think...?”

”...” Master Cadmus couldn’t understand the situation either, they were suddenly allowed to enter again, wasn’t it said that President Torre of the Chamber of Commerce had declared they wouldn’t be allowed in?

Everyone stood stupefied in place.

Seeing this, the doorman hurriedly apologized to them again: ”Honored guests, I’m truly sorry for my rashness earlier. The party has started, please hurry inside!”

Master Cadmus and Shawn Norton exchanged glances, looking at each other.

Master Cadmus spoke first: ”Let’s... let’s go in!”

With Shawn Norton’s hot temper, if this happened in Beijing, he certainly wouldn’t go in again.

But this was Inderia, not Beijing.

He glanced sideways in the direction of the girl, remembering his purpose for coming to Inderia and wanting to introduce some people to Nathalie Quinlan.

He held back, somewhat agreeing, muttering, ”Since it’s come to this, let’s go in.”

Everyone was quite bewildered, following the doorman’s pace back inside, heading towards the party.

Only Nathalie Quinlan knew what was happening, she casually put her phone back in her pocket, hands in pockets, silently following Shawn Norton and the others...

The light at the hotel party venue was dazzling, splendid and magnificent.

Inside, there were many men in suits mingling and chatting at the party, as well as quite a few stylishly dressed women.

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows and glanced around, finding it no different from a party in Beijing, she quickly lost interest and kept a low profile, mostly sticking around Shawn Norton and the others.

On the other side of the party, a middle-aged man was surrounded by many people, being treated like a star, the middle-aged man was well-preserved, his blue eyes appeared to have some gray on closer inspection, seeming like a shrewd and capable figure.
