The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1687: Chapter 1687: Ask Amadeus

Zed Moore pretended to make a phone call at a corner outside the social event. Upon hearing this, his eyebrows furrowed, lips tightened, he hadn’t expected Torre to be so petty, taking the auction conflict to a private level of revenge.

He wanted to listen more closely.

Unfortunately, Torre didn’t stay long.

Talking on the phone, he strode away swiftly.

Zed Moore and his companions dared not follow too closely, afraid of being discovered.

So, they didn’t catch whom Torre intended to ’deal with’ Nathalie Quinlan.

After Torre was far enough away.

The person next to him asked, ”Brother Zed, should we intervene?”

Zed Moore rubbed his forehead, not answering immediately, seemingly deep in thought.

”Amadeus told us to take care of Master Cadmus and his group. This matter is connected to them. If we don’t intervene, that girl might face revenge.”

Zed Moore, troubled, put his hand down: ”Let me think about it a bit more!”

He paused for a second, glancing back towards the restaurant of the social event, where many people were exiting. He didn’t see Master Cadmus and his party.

Zed Moore withdrew his line of sight, feeling uneasy, and lowered his voice: ”I didn’t say I wouldn’t intervene. It’s just that in this case, we aren’t in a position to do so!”

”If we make a move, Torre will inevitably notice us. Once that goes back and forth, he will know we’re investigating him. We’ve worked hard to disguise as outsiders, and once our identity is exposed, it will surely alert him! It will be much harder to find another chance to monitor him.”

Zed Moore’s concerns were justified.

Once Torre discovers that the Yandor Sect is checking him, he will undoubtedly be on high alert and won’t meet with the people behind it for a while.

Amadeus believes that Torre has other accomplices.

They are investigating the power behind manipulating Yancey Family’s goods!

His companion fell silent, hesitating for a moment, then reluctantly said: ”If we don’t intervene, what about that girl? The trade alliance won’t let her go easily.”

That girl was quite bold at the auction!

She is also with Master Cadmus.

Moreover, she indirectly helped them recover part of the goods.

Emotionally and logically, they couldn’t possibly stand by and do nothing, could they?

This is not the style of the Yandor Sect.

If it weren’t for this dilemma, Zed Moore would have made a decision long ago.

His resolute face turned stern, he picked up the phone: ”I’ll inform Amadeus of the situation here and see what decision he makes.”

Meanwhile, in an underground casino in Inderia.

The place was filled with men smoking cigarettes and playing Pai Gow Poker, each man appearing fierce and menacing, clearly the type not to be trifled with.

At this moment.

Inside a room in the casino, a man with a scruffy appearance and dyed blond hair angrily hung up the phone, cursing: ”Damn, they treat us like house dogs! Pfft, what the hell! If it weren’t for...”

Mid-sentence, he realized and shut his mouth warily, refusing to say more.

He tossed the phone onto the table and told his underlings: ”We’ve got a job.”

”Boss, what kind of job?”

”Wait a moment.”

The fax machine quickly printed out a sheet of information.

The blond man walked over, impatiently picked up the information, skimmed it, and his face grew darker by the inch.

Damn, they have us doing all sorts of dirty work!

He suppressed the anger on his brow, tossing the fax to his men: ”There, take a look. Later, we’re heading to Paradise Hotel to find this person. She crossed Torre President, and Torre President wants us to give her a lesson soon.”
