The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1659: Chapter 1659: What a Coincidence, I’m Going Out Too

Nathalie Quinlan’s slender and fair fingers had just pressed the Enter key on the keyboard, leaning back in her chair to wait for the computer to update.

The digital codes on her micro laptop were constantly refreshing.

The progress bar was also moving forward.

Nathalie picked up the mineral water on the table, unscrewed the cap, and took a sip, her gaze still fixed on the computer, waiting for the information in the database related to her to be revised...

Just then, there was a sudden knocking on the door.

Nathalie raised her eyebrows, lazily put down the water: ”Come in!”

Amadeus Yancey came in from outside with a cup of milk, and upon seeing the girl, who had just bathed and didn’t even dry her hair, sitting there playing on the computer, he couldn’t help but smirk, walked over and placed the glass in front of her on the table: ”Alfred Garland heated a cup of milk for you, I brought it up.”

”Ah.” Nathalie felt a headache coming up again when she saw the milk in the glass, pressed her temples with her hand, looking annoyed but didn’t refuse to drink: ”I’ll drink it later.”

Amadeus’ deep gaze was like an inkstone, glanced at the laptop on Nathalie’s desk, saw the refreshing progress bar on her computer, he pressed his thin lips together but didn’t ask what she was doing.

He did remember something, after putting down the milk, leaned to one side, and said: ”I’m going to go out in a few days.”

Nathalie looked up, surprised to look at him.

Amadeus looked at her: ”This time, it will be a relatively long time, if things go smoothly, I might be back in three to five days. If it doesn’t go well, it could take ten days or half a month to come back, would you be afraid to be alone at home? Why not let Candice bring Edric over to stay with you. Edric’s been wanting to come over, he’s finished his last rehabilitation, and he’s definitely more than willing.”

Nathalie recalled that she had previously agreed with Candice Yancey for Edric to move in, but she’s been running around outside every day lately, rarely even going back to Rhine.

The matter of Edric moving in to live with her has also been forced to be delayed repeatedly.

”I need to go out too.” Nathalie felt uneasy, but she indeed needed to go out and had no way to let the young kid come to live with her: ”Let’s talk when I get back.”

”You need to go out?” Amadeus raised an eyebrow, looking at her.

Nathalie responded with a hum, without hiding anything from him: ”I need to check the recording in the black box, so I’ll be gone for a few days.”

”The timing is about the same as yours, three to five days if things go smoothly. If not, maybe ten days or half a month.”

She hadn’t asked Shawn Norton yet how long this time would take, but she guessed not long, about a week or two.

After all, Inderia doesn’t allow outsiders to stay there too long.

Nathalie supported her chin with her cold pale hand, nonchalantly saying: ”The specific situation will only be known when I’m there.”

”Do you want Alfred Garland to go with you?” Amadeus hadn’t expected Nathalie would, like him, need to go out at the same time.

But he hadn’t thought Nathalie was going to Inderia, he thought Nathalie was going to the airplane crash site to check the details again.

Originally, he was going to bring Alfred Garland to Inderia, but... he wasn’t very comfortable with Nathalie going alone.

”Or I can let Sadam Vinson go with you.”

He’s not in Beijing, while Brian Bonette must stay in Beijing to keep an eye on The Ninth Institute over there, otherwise, it would be in chaos.

Sadam Vinson was relatively free.

He’s always at home playing games, just happens to have free time.

This time Nathalie was going with Jackson Wafford, Shawn Norton, and they were bringing her along to see the world, how could she bring someone with her?

She didn’t even think about Amadeus Yancey’s kind offer and refused: ”No need, I’m going with Mr. Norton.”
