The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1686: Chapter 1686: Nathalie’s Cover Is Blown!

He still thought Nathalie Quinlan was at most wealthier than the average student because she had quite a bit of New Year’s money, plus the pocket money transferred to her by Mr. Zachmann.

But this time Nathalie burned a billion!

This amount would be front-page news domestically, so why was Mr. Norton still so calm?

Shawn Norton wasn’t foolish; he could tell that Nathalie, since she made such a big move, didn’t intend to hide it from Stanley Zachmann.

So he smiled and said, ”Ah, she’s one of the three partners of the Pinecone Group.”

Stanley Zachmann: ”...”

”The dividends she takes each year are in the nine figures, and Silvania Ingram bought her quite a few properties that have appreciated over the years to around eight or nine figures each.”

”Moreover, she also has the identity as Lighten Chaser, you know that, right?”

At this moment, Stanley Zachmann was completely numb, nodding mechanically.

”The copyright fees each year probably add up to around a nine-figure sum.” Shawn Norton tried to make his tone sound less proud, but in reality, he was quite proud: ”...so I didn’t persuade her just now.”

Stanley Zachmann’s mind was buzzing, feeling both like Shawn Norton was out of his mind and yet certain he couldn’t be lying.

His soul seemed torn in two directions, unable to remain calm.

When the person who took Nathalie Quinlan’s black card to make the payment came back, respectfully returning the card to the girl, he seemed to find his voice again: ”Mr. Norton, is Nathalie one of the three partners of the Pinecone Group?”

He had no idea about this before.

He had prepared himself to empty his family’s reserves, only to be told by Shawn Norton that Nathalie didn’t need him to do that at all.

”Yes. There are three partners in the Pinecone Group: one is Silvania Ingram, another is Mr. Wilmar from the Wilmar Family, and the remaining one is Nathalie.”

Shawn Norton said this not only to Stanley Zachmann but also for others to hear: ”Previously, Nathalie was too young, still in her senior year of high school, with college entrance exams looming. So the Pinecone Group kept the news very quiet, but she’s one of the three partners of the Pinecone Group.”

”...”

At this moment, Stanley Zachmann felt a mix of emotions.

He looked again at the girl.

The girl was wearing a loose sweater, her eyes slightly lowered, still communicating with the auction staff about the processing of the items they had won.

Nathalie Quinlan’s aura, from her initial recklessness of kicking the chair, had gradually mellowed, returning to her usual understated and calm self.

Under the duckbill cap, her exquisitely delicate face held a somewhat indifferent attitude.

Stanley Zachmann looked on, his emotions gradually settling, and then turned back to Shawn Norton and said, ”Regardless, the fact that this incident can be resolved satisfactorily is great. But I’m worried the other party might retaliate, especially since this is Inderia, I...”

He left the next part unsaid.

Shawn Norton also fell silent: ”Let’s see how things unfold for now.”

”Weston, Torre went out.” In a corner of the banquet, a young man lowered his voice and said, ”Should we follow him?”

Zed Moore’s gaze stayed fixed on the girl nearby for a long time without shifting, he really wanted to take a photo, but the timing wasn’t right.

”Let’s go, follow him, and don’t lose track of him.”

”Alright.”

The two of them chased after him, one following the other.

Outside.

The man in the suit and leather shoes hadn’t gone far and was in the first-floor lobby throwing a fit.

He seemed to be talking on the phone: ”I’ve lost all face today, I must teach her a lesson! Otherwise, how will our business council hold a footing in Inderia anymore? What? No! She’s not from Inderia... she’s someone from outside, a country bumpkin.”

”I’ll have someone check her background and send you the information!”
