The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 299: Chapter 299: Chose a Dress for Her_1

In the mall, Audrick Zachmann was still picking things out when Nathalie Quinlan, having just handed Ghania Quinlan a deepwater bomb, received a message from Justin Wafford.

[Justin Wafford: Nathalie, Ghania Quinlan deleted her moment. 6666.]

She didn’t reply to the message, casually put her phone back in her bag, and prepared to see if Audrick had finished choosing yet.

But, just as she arrived at the entrance of a women’s clothing store, she bumped into a refined man who was waiting there with Edric.

”Nathalie.”

A deep voice suddenly called her name.

Two words that should have seemed ordinary enough felt oddly irritating as they came out of his throat.

Amadeus Yancey noticed the flare of irritation and roguishness at the corner of the girl’s eyes and his thin lips slightly curved up as he said softly, ”Edric picked out a dress for you to try on, but he was too shy to tell you.”

He picked out a dress for her?

Nathalie’s dark eyes involuntarily drifted towards the young child next to him, and indeed, Edric Yancey was holding something in his hands... a white garment that resembled a dress.

When he saw her looking, the young child seemed visibly anxious, his little hand clutching his clothes, lips pressed together in a tender shade, and he whispered softly, ”Sister, I didn’t get you a gift for your birthday, so I...”

He had just seen many girls about Nathalie’s age wearing pretty dresses while shopping, and he had never seen his sister in a dress.

Uncle Alfred had told him that his sister had suffered a lot in the past, and that her parents were not kind to her, which had made her develop her aloof personality.

He knew his sister didn’t like wearing cumbersome clothes, but seeing other girls her age had them; he too wanted to buy her a beautiful dress.

Alfred Garland had never seen him act so meek before; it was only in front of Nathalie that the Little Tyrant of Beijing would show such a timid side. So, he helped Edric Yancey speak up, ”Ms. Quinlan, the young master spent a long time picking out that dress inside, thinking you would look pretty in it. He wanted to buy it for you as a gift but was afraid you wouldn’t like it...”

Edric Yancey pursed his lips, feeling that he was talking too much.

But those big, round eyes couldn’t help looking at the girl not far away, full of hope.

He really hoped that his sister would like the gift he selected!

Nathalie’s temples throbbed twice, and as she looked at the white dress he was holding, her headache worsened.

Indeed, she didn’t like things like dresses, not because of anything else but because they felt cumbersome and made it inconvenient to do things.

But... the little guy wanted her to try it on...

As she was hesitating, she heard a deep, alluring male voice from above, ”Don’t force yourself if you don’t like it. Edric’s intention in buying you a gift is to make you happy. If you’re happy, he’s happier than anyone else.”

What a way to say it.

And sure enough, the young child quickly nodded his head, bobbing like a pecking chicken, and in a soft, tender childlike voice gently added, ”Mm-hmm, I want sister to be happy, to be happy every day! I’m willing to share all my happiness with sister!”

With such a cute and sweet little charmer, telling you he is willing to give all his happiness to you, just to make you happy, could you have the heart to refuse?

Nathalie did not consider herself to be that hard-hearted, at least when she faced Edric Yancey’s innocent and adorable face, she could never bring herself to be truly harsh.

Because those eyes were too pure, like the sky, endlessly encompassing and depending on her!

Even if Nathalie truly wasn’t interested in dresses, her hand was more honest than her heart as it reached out: ”...I’ll try it on.”
