The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Exactly the same as Nathalie’s signature!_1

Ghania Quinlan was taken aback; the award she received from the piano association was not for a piano piece, then what was it for?

Nathalie Quinlan seemed to see right through her thoughts and felt like laughing, ”Who told you that an award from the piano association must definitely be for a piano piece? It could well be a Konghou musical score.”

Ghania Quinlan had never even heard of the instrument called Konghou and immediately retorted with a flushed face, ”What are you babbling about? What Konghou? How could a Konghou score possibly turn into a piano score? These are two completely different instruments! The judges aren’t fools; how could they possibly not tell the difference between a piano score and a Konghou score!”

”Because I converted that piece into a piano score.”

Compared to her emotionally charged and flushed appearance, Nathalie Quinlan was utterly composed, as if the Quinlan family and Ghania Quinlan were mere jesters before her.

All music is interconnected!

The only difference lies in the instruments!

”Hasn’t anyone ever told you that your piece sounds very strange when played on the piano?”

Ghania Quinlan’s mouth hung open slightly, and her pupils dilated sharply.

She remembered what Adelia Tucker had said—that her piece could have taken first place, but the judges found that, although the composition was excellent, its effect when played on the piano was merely passable. Hence, first place was given to someone else, and she settled for second place.

Could it really be, as Nathalie Quinlan said, that her piece wasn’t a piano composition but rather another score?

That was just too preposterous!

Her heart raced, and a single thought dominated her mind—deny it to the death!

Caryn’s brows furrowed, her eyes brimming with water, somewhat humiliated, she said, ”I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s true that four years ago my skills were not perfect, and the composition had many flaws, but it was a piano piece, not that whatever score you’re talking about. You claim it’s a piece I asked you to ghostwrite; do you have proof?”

Whether it’s one score or another, it’s just words on a piece of paper—she didn’t believe that Nathalie Quinlan could make that piece of paper testify as to who wrote it!

Nathalie Quinlan chuckled; she knew Ghania Quinlan would stubbornly deny it. She asked her, ”When you took that piece of paper, you must have submitted it without even copying it over, right?”

”!”

Ghania Quinlan clenched her fist tightly, her heart feeling as if it was being tugged by an invisible hand!

She indeed had not made any copies at that time!

”I have a habit when I write; everything that’s mine, I like to mark it, just like a watermark. If you say that piece is your own work, then explain why the piece has the three letters ’sun’ written with invisible ink.”

When she had completed that composition, she hadn’t given it much thought and simply habitually marked it with the invisible ink pen she found on her desk.

The letters written by the invisible ink pen wouldn’t show after drying; they would look just like the paper, only revealing themselves under sunlight or with a special chemical.

The piece of paper for which Ghania Quinlan received the award bore the three letters ’sun’.

Sun.

Light.

Sunlight.

Even if I’m in hell at this moment, my heart is turned towards the light!

...

By now, Jhovany Sullivan and others had rushed to the outside of the private room.

Just in time, they heard that sentence.

[Then explain why the piece has the three letters ’sun’ written in invisible ink!]

She was startled, a bit confused.

How come she remembered that the rock star Lighten Chaser she admired also liked to sign his works with invisible ink.

The signature was ’sun,’ identical to Nathalie’s!

Was this a coincidence?

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t noticed their arrival.

She had been focusing her gaze on Ghania Quinlan the entire time, seeing her shock and then her panic. She noticed a projector in the room and walked toward it.

Being a lazy person, when it came to beating a dog, she always preferred to knock it out with one blow!
