The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 269: Chapter 269: Amadeus Yancey Stands Up for Her?_1

Her fingers paused for a second, and before she could reply to the message, Lowie Wilmar’s call came in as if he had a GPS tracker on her.

Given that person’s noisy nature, he was bound to make a big fuss about today’s events. Nathalie Quinlan didn’t want to answer the phone, but it kept ringing persistently. She rubbed her temples, sat down on the chair, and answered the call.

”Hello.”

She reached for her laptop, opened it, and prepared to turn it on.

As expected, the moment she picked up, an explosive roar came from the other end, ”Miss Quinlan, you’re impressive, huh? Why didn’t you tell me that you are Stanley Zachmann’s daughter? And what’s your relationship with the Yancey Family in Beijing? Damn it! Why would Amadeus Yancey stand up for you? Do you know that after you left, he and your dad tore the Quinlan Family’s faces apart? And that’s not all, Ghania Quinlan’s award was revoked too! Your dear stepsister’s face turned green, and she collapsed on the spot, unable to stand up for a long time...”

Nathalie Quinlan had just woken up, no one had told her what had happened at Waterfront Pavilion after she left, and hearing him mention it, she was stunned for a few seconds. Her fingers rested on the laptop, which was meant to be turned on but remained closed.

”You’re saying that Amadeus Yancey and my...dad, stood up for me?”

It was the second time she called Stanley Zachmann dad. The first time was at Waterfront Pavilion when the Zachmann Family had just found her and she didn’t know anyone; Audrick Zachmann introduced her dad, and she called him dad out of politeness.

But that was just a courtesy without sincerity.

This time, Nathalie Quinlan’s feelings were complicated, and she lowered her eyelids, hiding the complex emotions in her eyes.

”He called the Beijing Piano Association on the spot and explained the matter about Ghania Quinlan stealing your piece, so naturally, her award was gone,” he said.

As he talked about it, Lowie Wilmar remembered the Quinlan Family’s wonderful expressions in the private room, his tone gleeful at their misfortune.

”Too bad you left too quickly to see their expression when they found out you belonged to the Zachmann Family, especially Jeff Quinlan. After your dad and Amadeus Yancey had torn them a new one, he still had the nerve to say that it was their fault today. He wanted to find an opportunity to formally apologize to you!”

”Hehe, I was wrong about them before; I said their faces were made of Titanium Platinum. What Titanium Platinum? It’s clearly diamond! Not even a jack could top that!”

Their faces weren’t made of Titanium Platinum; just a second ago, they were acting all high and mighty, threatening Nate with a useless police report, refusing to acknowledge the authenticity of the video.

Then, as soon as they heard her real parents were from the top echelons of McKinney, their attitudes changed completely, suddenly eager to apologize.

So all the nasty things your wife yelled earlier don’t count anymore?

Can you take those words back?

Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t surprised at all, she set the phone aside and asked, ”Then what?”

”Amadeus Yancey told him to get lost.”

Nathalie Quinlan: ...

Lowie Wilmar completely sided with Amadeus Yancey on this matter, that simple and clear ’get lost’ from him seemed so cool to him, even as a man!

”Right. You haven’t answered my questions yet. Since when did you become Stanley Zachmann’s daughter? And when did you meet Amadeus Yancey?”

That big shot from the Yancey Family isn’t just anyone you can meet; countless people in Beijing bend over backwards and still can’t see him even once. How did Nate manage to get him to defend her?

Plus, looking at the situation, Amadeus Yancey was definitely protecting her.

Listening to the nagging voice in her ear, thinking about the words he said to her, Nathalie’s mood became indescribable. She had been sitting cross-legged, but now she extended her bent legs.
