The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Transfer School_1

Adelia Tucker told them what the other side wanted!

”Do you think that disqualifying Ghania Quinlan from receiving the award is the end of it? Didn’t you hear them ask if we think Nathalie Quinlan can be bullied just because nobody dotes on her?”

Cindy Lawrence remembered, ”Are you talking about that young man?”

She hadn’t taken that young man seriously.

Compared to that young man she had never met.

She was more worried about the ungrateful girl’s biological father; she never would have thought Nathalie Quinlan’s dad from Hillwood County was from the McKinney’s top Great Families, the Zachmann Family.

Over the years, the Zachmann Family had gradually shifted their focus to Beijing, but they still had a stronghold in McKinney. Not to mention, dealing with them was more than enough.

As for that young man...

Cindy Lawrence said with indifference, ”That young man must be Nathalie Quinlan’s lover... At such a young age, not studying properly and always relying on his face to flirt with others outside.”

Lover? Adelia Tucker wanted to laugh, but her current mood wouldn’t allow it. Her face drooped, and the corners of her mouth turned downwards as she rapidly twirled the Buddhist beads in her hand, ”I have a piece of advice for you. Since Nathalie Quinlan has let you choose one, you’d better pick one between the two, and don’t think about settling this privately. This isn’t something you can resolve with an apology and some compensation. If breaking a leg or losing the guaranteed admission to National Artists University could settle this matter, you should go to the temple to burn incense and thank the Buddha for your blessing...”

”Is it that serious?” Cindy Lawrence still hadn’t grasped the severity of the situation, frowning in disbelief, ”The Tucker Family...?”

Haha, she’s still mentioning the Tucker Family. Adelia Tucker felt a sudden jump in her brow, almost snapping the Buddhist beads in her hand, and squeezed out in a soft voice, ”The Tucker Family would be lucky not to be dragged down by you. Don’t expect the Tucker Family to be able to help you with anything, I’m struggling to save myself!”

Upon hearing this, Cindy Lawrence sat bolt upright on the sofa, murmuring bewilderedly, ”How could it be this serious?”

Adelia Tucker had been friends with her for decades and truly cared for her; otherwise, she wouldn’t be sitting here now. At these words, she just snorted lightly, lifted her eyelids, and looked again at Ghania Quinlan, whose eyes were red and swollen from crying, and whispered, ”And after you’ve made your choice, have Ghania Quinlan transfer schools. Out of sight, out of mind for the other side, they might even spare you a way out.”

Ghania Quinlan’s head jerked up, nearly shattering a silver tooth.

Her heart felt like it was about to leap out of her chest, and she couldn’t accept the outcome Adelia Tucker suggested.

It wasn’t enough that she couldn’t study at National Artists University; now she couldn’t even stay at No. 1 Middle School in McKinney?

Adelia Tucker didn’t care about what she thought. If it weren’t for Cindy Lawrence’s desperate pleading, she wouldn’t have even bothered to give these two sentences of advice.

”The Quinlan Family might go bankrupt, you should prepare yourselves mentally!”

The next day, at No. 1 Middle School in McKinney.

Jeff Quinlan took Ghania Quinlan to handle the transfer procedures.

To transfer, they definitely had to speak to the principal, so they went to the principal’s office.

After Jeff Quinlan explained their purpose, Mr. Jones was shocked but didn’t try to retain them, simply saying, ”Ghania Quinlan has always had excellent grades and is a leading figure in the school’s arts. It’s a pity that she’s transferring suddenly, but I respect your decision!”

He turned his head, looking kindly at the girl with red and swollen eyes from crying, ”You should study hard at your new school. You’re in your third year of high school now, and I believe that with your grades, you can definitely get into a good university.”

Hearing his words, even knowing they were just superficial consolation, Ghania Quinlan couldn’t help but feel tearful, almost crying again. Her voice choked up, she clenched her fists tight and thanked him, ”...Thank you, Mr. Jones.”
