Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 137: Chapter 78 Delivery and New Transformation Ideas_4

And the other one is a specialized cargo ship, which would be amazing if it could really surpass expectations.

In this situation, Chen Ming’s choice for the transformation of the Mule Level is actually set.

Based on the contents displayed on the panel, it’s about adding several additional [expanded cargo holds].

By removing cabins that are excessive for Chen Ming, like the captain’s cabin and living quarters, even the bridge control cabin and weapon control cabin can be dismantled if needed.

The equipment inside is distributed to the corners of the hull, saving a substantial amount of space in exchange for greater cargo capacity.

Chen Ming is not at all worried about the possibility of not utilizing it in the future, given his dismantling ability; as long as he can get close to other people’s ships, there will always be opportunities to fill up the storage cabins.

Of course, such a large-scale modification of the ship also requires corresponding engine upgrades.

So, Chen Ming takes out the professional book by Luder, updated thirty years later.

Although Chen Ming later learned what Luder Zuo Jing actually was and found some content in the book seemed missing,

There’s still a lot of useful technology in it.

For example, the engine modification technology used by that Suicide Ship is definitely adaptable for the Mule Level loaded with more cargo holds.

Additionally, this Luder technology book includes several techniques that trade a degree of risk for enhanced ship performance, which Chen Ming is eager to learn.

After all, Chen Ming often doesn’t need to personally bear that risk.

Once roughly formulating the modification plan, Chen Ming directly began personally operating various large repair equipment in the repair factory.

Although he often couldn’t utilize the panel in the repair factory, he had free access to the engineering equipment.

Chen Ming wasn’t inexperienced in using this equipment; in fact, the modifications weren’t too challenging.

Plus, with several cargo holds offloaded by pirates from the convoy available as bases, the modification for the [expanded cargo hold] didn’t take up much of Chen Ming’s time.

In contrast, the modifications Chen Ming planned to enhance the Mule Level’s survivability, the [Reinforced Cabin Wall] and his favorite [Heavy Armor], would take much more effort.

Although the finished product would take a few days to complete, Chen Ming had already sketched the entire Mule Level on the design blueprint in advance.

The Mule Level, which originally had a layered design aesthetic, now looked much bulkier in Chen Ming’s design, though its mobility had surprisingly increased.

After all, the [Flame Driver] technology, a hallmark of Luder technology, was gained at the cost of sacrificing the ship’s internal temperature control system stability.

At this point, the transformation plan for the Mule Level was thoroughly outlined.

With the plan set, the rest is merely mechanical labor.

So, during the few days needed for the actual transformation, Chen Ming was already conceiving the modification scheme for another ship.

Although he left many materials at the Dark Graveyard, there were still quite a few common materials among the remainder that couldn’t be used entirely.

Therefore, Chen Ming planned to completely revamp a ship following the Luder technology concept.

Transform it into Chen Ming’s Suicide Ship.

Previously, Chen Ming never had this idea.

But upon seeing Luder’s Suicide Ship, Chen Ming realized that Luder technology often suited him very well.

A ship that doesn’t require human control could undergo a substantial amount of dangerous modifications.

Among them, naturally, included the Suicide Ship.

Moreover, about the Suicide Ship, he only needed to research how to detonate all the fuel stored at different positions within the ship at once, and how to maximize the explosion’s power.

The rest of the technology for the Suicide Ship is all in Luder’s technical book.

However, it wasn’t worth buying a fuel ship specifically to test this idea.

So Chen Ming plans to convert the Sentinel Level collecting dust in the repair factory into a Suicide Ship.

Once the Mule is remodeled, it will be the Sentinel’s turn.
