Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 119: Chapter 74 Attempting to Break Free_2

This thing is something the Sinda Corporation absolutely cannot forget, but in fact, that hasn’t happened.

So it’s very likely that the conflict between the military and Sinda still exists, and Sinda was indeed set up by the military in the Space Station incident.

Chen Ming currently leans towards this idea.

This means that as long as he can stay away from the military in the Edge Star Realm, his identity is still clean, and as long as he is not targeted by the military, living a normal life should not be a problem.

However, the problem lies with the military.

They probably don’t want Chen Ming, who left the Space Station alive and might have witnessed its destruction, to exist.

And if the Sinda Corporation needs to investigate this case from thirty years ago, the key point should also be with Chen Ming.

In other words, Chen Ming could even try to proactively disclose some information to the plant manager to test Sinda Corporation’s stance on this matter.

However, the plan Chen Ming previously thought of is not something he plans to change for now.

He will still wait for the first batch of weapons to be refurbished, the factory codes to be resolved, and successfully sold to earn the first profit before talking to the plant manager.

After all, even if the probability of a good relationship between Sinda and the military is very, very low, it’s not zero either.

So Chen Ming decided to keep a little in reserve.

Before that, he will try to build a reputation by hunting pirates and also earn some money to prepare another path.

Therefore, this time, Chen Ming’s modification needs for his ships mainly focus on combat capability.

Whichever ship has high combat capability, he selectively modifies that ship.

Among these seven ships.

The Iron Ore No., which has already been modified and is not for combat, is directly ruled out.

The Refraction Level follows because it is a destroyer, and the modification materials for destroyers are not something Chen Ming can currently afford.

Next to be ruled out is the Sentinel Level because this Sentinel was a stripped-down version obtained by Chen Ming from someone else, without militarized systems, so modifying it is out of the question.

Then the Lumin Level is ruled out because it is currently docked at the Space Station and can’t be moved temporarily.

So it leaves three ships: Dawn, Warrior Modified, and Centurion.

Chen Ming decided to skip the Dawn Level almost without thinking.

The reason is simple, Chen Ming doesn’t understand the technology of the Dusk.

Even if he wanted to modify it, the panel doesn’t show any modification options other than general equipment like armor and engines.

This is also one of the reasons Chen Ming gave up modifying the Refraction and Lumin.

However, Chen Ming plans to work on the Dawn Level later because he intends to remove Gamma B and install it on the Warrior Modified.

In fact, the same could be done with Gamma A, which would save Chen Ming a ship control slot.

But since Refraction is a design by Dusk, to fully unleash its potential, it’s best to let Dusk handle it.

So finally, the ships Chen Ming wants to modify are the Warrior Modified and Centurion Levels.

The Warrior Modified is currently the most powerful ship in Chen Ming’s hands, besides the Refraction Level, with not many areas or none at all for modifications.

Because the entire ship was remodeled by the professional technicians of Speed Particle Technology Company.

Chen Ming’s current technical level definitely can’t compare to those who designed this ship, so it’s best not to touch the design of the Warrior Modified.

Chen Ming will at most add an adapter to allow Gamma B to connect to the ship’s control system.

And pick some weapons, of course.

The main focus of this modification, however, is on the Centurion Level.

The Centurion Level has armor thickness that is extremely outstanding among frigates.

In addition to two medium and six small, a total of eight load points, there is also a missile mount point.

The Centurion Level, when found by Chen Ming, came with two noise cannons and six light needles.

Noise is a multi-barrel rotary cannon that fires small high-speed armor-piercing rounds.

While ensuring kinetic energy weapons are highly effective against shields, it also has an extremely strong capability to shatter armor.

And the Light Needle is a doubly stripped-down version of the large load point weapon Storm Needle.

Compared to the Storm Needle, its capabilities are definitely reduced, but at least it is a military weapon and is quite good compared to other weapons of the same tier.

The enemies Chen Ming will face in the future are expected to be pirates.

These types of weapons should be very suitable.

After all, they are pirates, and it’s hard for them to have their own truly professional maintenance master.

So there will definitely be problems with their ships, like their armor and radiant energy systems.

These are parts of the ship that are relatively difficult to repair.

Although armor can be directly replaced with new ones, a ship’s radiant energy system isn’t that easily replaced.

Chen Ming spent nearly ten million to equip the Iron Ore No. with a radiant energy system.

If pirates had ten million, why would they bother being pirates? Why not go back and enjoy life?

So with problems in these two areas, using weapons with fast shield-breaking and armor-piercing capability is definitely a good choice.

The Light Needle is just right for shield breaking.

However, Noise’s effect against low-quality armor is somewhat inferior to another weapon Chen Ming has on hand.

Tearer.

This is something Chen Ming got when competing for half a Dusk destroyer.

At that time, he directly dismantled an entire medium load point from the Hellhound Level.

Although this load point equipment itself wasn’t useful, having been dismantled previously for materials, he did keep the weapon on it.
