Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 135: Chapter 78: Delivery and New Transformation Ideas_2

After considering for a moment, Chen Ming suddenly decided not to sell this batch of goods, and simply stored them at the Maintenance Factory first.

Anyway, the Maintenance Factory has plenty of extra space, so temporarily placing these materials there shouldn’t be a problem.

Although Chen Ming didn’t know exactly what he could use these things for, he just wanted to keep them, feeling that he might need them later.

This strange premonition was just like the panic he felt before in the Space Arm.

At that time, this premonition saved his life, and now, although the premonition wasn’t as strong, Chen Ming thought that believing in it wouldn’t be wrong.

After docking the Centurion at the dock, Chen Ming continued to maneuver Iron Ore No. and the Mule Level deeper into the Maintenance Factory.

Using the specialized unloading equipment at the Maintenance Factory, he unloaded all the cargo from the cargo bays of Mule Level and its own cargo bay, stacking it on the empty lot beside.

Once the unloading was complete, Chen Ming suddenly felt the fatigue from the day quickly surge into his mind.

Since the afternoon, he had been repairing and dismantling ships, and the mental fatigue had already begun to affect his thinking.

After all, the six frigates he dismantled, just in terms of size, already rivaled many destroyers, and dismantling a destroyer consumes twice the spiritual power as fully modifying one.

So Chen Ming didn’t rush to do the next thing, but went to a restaurant inside the Space Station, rented a private room, and took care of dinner.

Now that he had money, he certainly needed to have something good to eat.

After finishing up, he returned to Iron Ore No. and lay down on the bed in the living quarters.

Before completely falling asleep, Chen Ming habitually began to think and summarize his situation for the day.

This would help him find the errors and problems in his work to avoid making the same mistakes again.

As he thought, Chen Ming suddenly recalled the situation when he first arrived at the Pirate Space Station.

And his thoughts at that time.

With a new identity, return to the Prosperous Star Realm to start a new life.

It seemed that Chen Ming had long been capable of doing this, but this idea had slightly faded for him now.

There were many reasons.

The most crucial one was that Chen Ming’s new life had actually begun when he set foot on the Pirate Space Station.

He had never said that his new life must begin in the Prosperous Star Realm.

It was just that back when Chen Ming was over on Rimu Star, it wasn’t even considered a remote wilderness, it was purely a primitive world.

So back then, Chen Ming’s immediate thought was to return to the Prosperous Star Realm he was familiar with in his memories.

But for the current Chen Ming, staying in the Edge Star Realm was actually more comfortable than going to the Prosperous Star Realm.

After all, he couldn’t quite accept all the effort he’d put into modifying ships being all for nothing.

He couldn’t accept the complete ban on Dusk AI Core within the Human Empire either.

You must know the regulatory environment in the Prosperous Star Realm is much stricter than in the Edge Star Realm. The patrol teams patrolling within the Star System could investigate any ship suddenly at any time.

Chen Ming had no way to resist and could only passively accept their scans. If a problem was found, he definitely wouldn’t be able to keep the AI Core in his hand.

The two AI Cores are currently Chen Ming’s most important aides, and losing them would set back his capabilities in ship operations by at least half.

So Chen Ming thought it would be best to first obtain an Armed Ship License to ensure his identity wasn’t just that of a civilian, so no one would idly come to investigate him.

This would provide the foundation for him to take the Dusk AI Core back with him.

And there are many ways to obtain an Armed Ship License, one of which even offers a path to continually climb upward.

This path could not only satisfy Chen Ming’s need to advance himself but also should meet his desire to bring back the Dusk AI Core.

Sinda Corporation has always been acquiring Dusk AI Cores, and since the official authorities have never investigated them, what this implies doesn’t need much guessing.

Although Chen Ming wasn’t yet sure if this path could actually be taken, its existence indeed somewhat lowered his desire to return.

Moreover, if Chen Ming really chose to return to the Prosperous Star Realm, distancing himself from the Edge Star Realm.

He would also lose the source of new Dusk AI Cores.

His capability to control ships has many aspects that are difficult to utilize in the Prosperous Star Realm.

Just accessing ships with Dusk alone is something that’s basically impossible to achieve anymore.

But for Chen Ming, he had deeply experienced the convenience of owning and controlling two Dusk AI Cores.

It’s easy to go from frugality to luxury, but hard to go from luxury to frugality.

It was impossible for Chen Ming to give up on the idea of acquiring new Dusk AI Cores.

Furthermore, it wasn’t just his own thoughts; practical limitations were also, to some extent, forcing him to acquire new AI Cores.

With the increasing number of ships Chen Ming currently controlled and the changes in ship types.

A single Refraction with three frigates was already not enough to be impressive.

After two Mule Levels, at least one of Chen Ming’s ship control slots would be occupied permanently, and if both Mules were required, he wouldn’t be able to control any other ships.

No matter how many ships he had, he simply couldn’t take them out.

Even if he could transform Refraction into a mobile small shipyard, it could at most stably dock four ships inside, yet it would lose some of Refraction’s combat power.

So Chen Ming thought about it and decided to delay the transformation of Refraction.
