Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 129: Chapter 76: Battle_4

The intensity of the ion beam fired by the Warrior Level is sufficient to generate an electromagnetic pulse on its own, unleashing a terrifying force that the armor of the Mule Level can hardly withstand.

Almost instantly piercing the armor, it forced other ships to stay close to the Mule Level, blocking this ion beam that could ionize almost everything.

And at this moment, the fuel ship that Chen Ming had been closely monitoring finally made a move.

Although it only activated a very rudimentary shield at the very front of the ship, and the armor on the side looked almost non-existent.

But its frontal armor was very thick, appearing capable of resisting most frontal attacks.

Chen Ming could probably guess why it had such a design.

It was meant to charge right up to the target, and at the same time, this armor would become shrapnel enhancing the power of the explosion.

Just as Chen Ming suspected, this modified fuel transport ship suddenly disengaged from the fleet on the side away from the Warrior Level.

It adjusted its direction, targeting the Centurion that had just dispersed all its radiant energy and reactivated its shield at the front of the pirate fleet.

Since Chen Ming had noticed in advance and had previously briefed Gamma B, making it the second priority target.

The Warrior Level, having just pulled away the pirate fleet with its maneuverability and completely paralyzed the Mule Level, changed its target, preparing to tackle this fuel ship from the side.

But to Chen Ming’s surprise, the tail of this heavily modified fuel ship suddenly spewed a massive red-orange tail flame as if a Warrior had started its plasma thrusters.

The raging flames propelled the fuel ship to achieve an extremely exaggerated instantaneous acceleration, reaching the fastest speed possible in superspace in less than two seconds.

It crashed directly into the Centurion Level.

Even at its fastest speed, the Warrior Level couldn’t return in time to handle it.

And the Centurion that had just recovered also couldn’t accelerate to evade, and its firepower wasn’t enough to pierce through the absurdly thick front armor instantly, forcing it to withstand this suicide attack.

The fuel transport ship immediately collided with the shield that the Centurion had activated in advance.

With the high-speed impact of a massive solid body, the radiant energy of the Centurion Level surged instantly.

Before Chen Ming could react, the radiant energy generated by the attack on the Centurion was already nearing its capacity limit.

Fortunately, there was a trigger device that Chen Ming had specially installed beforehand on the Centurion Level.

It would activate when the ship’s radiant energy was about to reach its limit, automatically shutting down the ship’s shield.

Unless a more powerful weapon could instantly cause the Centurion Level’s radiant energy to overload, the Centurion Level would never overload due to its shield.

Additionally, according to another design by Chen Ming, this trigger device would activate the damping field device at the same time it was triggered.

The moment after the Centurion Level ship was covered by the damping field, the modified Drum Level fuel transport ship detonated itself.

A fireball several hundred meters in size abruptly appeared in space.

Seeing this, Chen Ming became somewhat unconsciously tense.

The boss had previously warned him about the madness of Luder Zuo Jing, and unexpectedly, despite his precautions, he still fell into their trap.

However, he soon noticed that the Centurion Level hadn’t disconnected from the ships he controlled.

It had withstood that explosion.

And on the panel’s 3D imaging, the situation of the Centurion Level within the fireball was also displayed.

Its frontal armor, incorporated with White Cloud Steel, was completely damaged, exposing a ship structure full of molten traces and impact cracks.

Although the armor in other directions didn’t directly take the damage of this suicide explosion, it also suffered significant damage.

Furthermore, the internal equipment of the Centurion Level also experienced many subtle damages due to the impact of the explosion, making it likely to crash after a short operation.

But at least the Centurion was still operational.

As long as it wasn’t instantly destroyed, Chen Ming could salvage it.

Chen Ming immediately selected repair on the panel.

A large amount of material in the Iron Ore No.’s storage bay melted into liquid, flowing into Chen Ming’s palm and disappearing from his sight.

After consuming a considerable amount of Spiritual Power, these vanished metallic liquids appeared within the Centurion chamber in the fireball.

Quickly repairing the ship’s hull, armor, and weapon damage.

Just then, the damping equipment conveniently stopped due to imminent overload, and the fireball dispersed.

The fuel transport ship was obliterated without leaving a trace.

But the Centurion Level appeared flawlessly before everyone at the battlefield, both human and non-human.

On the Mule Level, whose engine had been paralyzed and all its escort frigates protecting the ship had been pierced by the Warrior Level.

The Pirate Leader numbly watched this scene.

Feeling the atmosphere of despair inside the spaceship, he collapsed onto his chair.

He knew very well that even a Destroyer, or even a Cruiser, if approached closely by a Luder Zuo Jing modified suicide ship and taking on this terrifying suicide explosion, would at least suffer some damage.

The possibility of appearing unscathed like the military ship in front of him appeared could only be one kind.
