Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 104: Chapter 70: Dusk’s Individual and Inventory_3

Gamma A’s response was much faster this time: ”It shouldn’t take too long. I’ve already passed the initial assessment for enhancement and obtained control permissions for Destroyer-class ships.”

”As long as I continue to complete missions and supplement computational power, the enhancement is only a matter of time. When the time comes, I’ll need to replace my core shell with a more advanced one.”

At this point, Chen Ming suddenly understood why Gamma A always wanted to bring up this matter.

If it wants to enhance, besides participating in Dusk missions to acquire chips from the Mechanical Race, it also needs to replace the core shell.

And replacing the core shell naturally requires removing the original core from the spaceship.

Gamma A wants to enhance, but this requires temporarily leaving Chen Ming’s control.

Although Chen Ming felt that Gamma A might not really understand the means by which he controlled it and probably just wanted to upgrade, hoping for Chen Ming’s permission, it’s better to avoid gambling on low-probability events.

Therefore, Chen Ming directly chose a compromise method and said, ”Then just let me know when you’ve reached that level.”

”Thank you.”

After Chen Ming completely satisfied his existential curiosity about Dusk, he ended the conversation.

However, not long after, when the Dusk individual in the extreme range of Chen Ming’s sight completely disappeared, he suddenly asked on a whim: ”Do you Dusk have individuals similar to ’backpackers’, like organizing to explore a certain planet together?”

”Exists, but there is currently no individual organization.”

If it exists, then it will be easier to handle.

In the future, he will have an opportunity to stir up things in this regard.

As for now, it doesn’t really matter to Chen Ming, because his time at the Dusk Colony is already about up.

Staying further would certainly delay the journey back to the Pirate Space Station.

So Chen Ming said to Gamma A, ”We should leave.”

”Received. I’ve already sent you the map of surrounding star systems. Please choose your destination.”

Chen Ming pulled up the star system map, which displayed the area under Dusk’s control and the region where the Human Empire’s Edge Star Realm connects to other star systems.

During the time as the spaceship took off again, carrying the Lumin class that had been stationed in space, heading toward the edge of the star systems to prepare the Superspace Channel.

Besides pinpointing locations on the star map, Chen Ming was also examining those unfamiliar star systems outside the domain of the Human Empire.

As he was looking, his hand paused on clicking the star map.

Because at that moment, Chen Ming suddenly realized something he hadn’t noticed at first glance when receiving the star map.

His gaze shifted from the star map to the increasingly distant Dusk Colony outside the Refraction class.

This heavy industrial colony, covering one-fifth of the planet’s surface area, is definitely an important colony of Dusk.

And the star map Chen Ming has clearly marked it out.

Besides this colony, other important locations belonging to Dusk are also marked on it.

Chen Ming’s mind was a bit messy, so he quickly asked Gamma A, ”Where did you get this star map?”

”He gave it to me.”

Good, that explains it.

Chen Ming’s thinking immediately became clear.

Originally, he was wondering if any random ship from Dusk could obtain such a detailed star map; then the humans should have turned Dusk into a sieve long ago.

Now it seems that this star map must be a highly confidential one, and it was given to Gamma A by that Dusk AI Cruiser.

If the military was aware of these important location positions, they would have already attacked. How could they give Dusk the chance to strike first?

So, if this internal Dusk star map really spread out, there would definitely be big trouble on the Dusk side.

However, the existence of Dusk is valuable to Chen Ming, and those AI cores and ships might become part of Chen Ming himself in the future.

Thus, he must maintain this star map securely.

All Chen Ming can do is lock the file storing the star map on Iron Ore No.’s computer.

The Refraction class soon reached the edge of the star system.

Gradually stopping, the Superspace Navigation System that goes with the engine was slowly activating.

After feeling a slight gravitational pull, Chen Ming noticed that the outside environment scanned by the Refraction class sensors had changed significantly.

At this moment, Chen Ming was in a deep indigo space, shrouded in cloud-like Superspace clouds scattered throughout, with countless dismal purple lightning flickering in those pale purple clouds.

Yet those clouds and lightning were located rather far from the Refraction class.

And there was a safety channel without Superspace Channel clouds from the gravitational well caused by the star behind the Refraction class leading all the way to the distance.

As long as Chen Ming takes the legitimate channel, not passing through those outside clouds.

Then accidents won’t happen out of nowhere.

After informing Gamma A of the Dark Graveyard’s location,

Chen Ming directly lay back in Iron Ore No.’s living cabin.

Despite successfully controlling a Destroyer and breaking through the limits of his spiritual power,

After the breakthrough and gradually relaxing, he indeed felt a strong sense of fatigue, just that it was suppressed by his willpower.

Now that everything is done, Chen Ming no longer needs to hold on.
