After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2235: Chapter 2239: I’m... Very Sorry

”Not very good.” Luo Xiaoqian lowered her face, pressing her lips together, ”I... apologize for my attitude last night. I actually know you’re being nice to me, it’s just... I couldn’t wrap my head around it, Luo Ke... I’m sorry.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s thoughts were quite simple; she wanted to cheer him up and thus smoothly be sent to the island by him, so she didn’t mind putting on a show.

After all, it’s broad daylight, and they’re in the dining room. She’s not worried about what he might do to her.

Luo Ke walked over with a heart full of joy, ruffled her hair, and naturally pulled her into his arms.

”It’s okay, Sissi, once these few days are busy, we’ll start over.”

”Okay.”

Luo Xiaoqian obediently responded while in his arms.

Luo Ke raised his hand to cup her face, intending to kiss her.

Luo Xiaoqian was hesitating about whether to endure and let him kiss her when Leng Zirui was already coming down the stairs with Xu Xia.

”Luo Ke, Sissi, morning!”

Leng Zirui looked at the two in the dining room and immediately greeted them from afar, helping Luo Xiaoqian out.

”Morning!” Luo Xiaoqian stood up promptly, ”Miss Xu, how’s your stomach?”

”Much better, thank you.”

Xu Xia, with Leng Zirui’s arm around her shoulders, lowered her face, looking listless.

She’s the ”victim” now and naturally couldn’t appear too happy.

Luo Ke glanced at Xu Xia, immediately frowning slightly. He really couldn’t bring himself to like Luo Xiaoqian’s former friend.

”Considering Miss Xu’s health, after breakfast, you should take her for a thorough check-up at the hospital.”

Though he expressed concern verbally, his implication was evidently to suggest Leng Zirui take Xu Xia away.

”Breakfast will be ready soon, eat a little breakfast before going. Miss Xu has a poor stomach; it’s essential to have breakfast on time.”

Luo Xiaoqian proactively extended the invitation. With them at the table, Luo Ke would also restrain himself a bit, besides, she’s somewhat worried about Xu Xia.

Since the person is a good friend of hers but now sticking around Roy, she hadn’t fully understood what’s going on between them.

”Then let’s finish breakfast together before going.”

Luo Ke returned to his seat and gave Leng Zirui a reminding look. Leng Zirui then led Xu Xia to sit down at the dining table. Xu Xia struggled slightly but complied and sat down.

At this time, the maid and Leng Zimo had also come out from the dining room, placing the breakfast before them.

”Sir.” A bodyguard entered the dining room, ”The plane is ready.”

”Mm!” Luo Ke nodded, ”Wait until the madam finishes breakfast before leaving.”

”Are you...” Xu Xia was taken aback, ”Sissi, where are you going?”

”I’m going back to the island.” Luo Xiaoqian raised her face, ”Miss Xu... would you like to come along and hang out?”

Leng Zimo had mentioned that he’d take her away within a day or two, perhaps she could bring Xu Xia along.

”I need to take her to see a doctor first. Once she’s better, then go.” Leng Zirui smilingly picked up the topic and subtly pinched Xu Xia under the table, signaling her not to dwell on this issue.

Xu Xia lowered her head to eat, and Luo Ke also spoke with a smile, ”Sissi, don’t worry. In the future, Roy will often bring Miss Xu over when he has time. Eat quickly or else the breakfast will get cold and hurt the stomach.”

Luo Xiaoqian sighed helplessly, unable to continue discussing the topic.

She and Xu Xia are now just acquaintances. If she talks too much about it, Luo Ke might start to suspect.
