After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2207: Chapter 2211: The Gourmet’s Interest Isn’t in the Food

The car drove into the castle driveway, and Leng Zirui had already ordered to stop.

”Now, be good and stay here, don’t wander off!” With a kiss as light as a dragonfly touching water on her lips, Leng Zirui stretched his leg to get out of the car, then ordered Ah Ke and the others, ”Keep an eye on her, don’t let her get out. If her foot steps on the ground even for a moment, I’ll personally cut off your ankles!”

Xu Xia and Luo Xiaoqian are good friends, and if she saw Luo Xiaoqian, it would surely ruin everything. He definitely couldn’t truly bring her inside.

It’s still a long way from the castle, and even if Luo Xiaoqian walked out of it, Xu Xia wouldn’t be able to see her. As long as she stays in the car, everything would be foolproof.

...

...

When Leng Zirui walked into the dining room, Leng Zimo was just with the maids, serving the lunch prepared for Luo Xiaoqian and Luo Ke on the table, of course, including a portion for Leng Zirui.

Leng Zimo had already been informed that Leng Zirui would be coming, so he specifically found an excuse to help the maids serve the dishes.

Seeing him, Leng Zirui was quite surprised, ”No way, our chef has come too?!”

”Sissi isn’t used to eating anything else, so I asked him to come over.” Across the table, Luo Ke smiled at Luo Xiaoqian, openly showing his affection.

Not used to eating?!

Leng Zirui secretly smiled to himself, fearing that his sister-in-law’s interest in food was less about the meal and more about the chef, wasn’t it?!

But then, it was also good this way.

Compared to being on the island, the two of them here would find it easier to escape.

Plans can’t keep up with changes; this situation has become increasingly complex. The earlier plan might not be able to handle the current scenario, so it might be better to change plans temporarily and quickly find a way for them to escape.

But how should it be done?!

Looking at the lunch plate, Leng Zirui couldn’t help but think of Xu Xia. That girl hadn’t eaten breakfast, and it was almost noon now; she must be starving, right?!

After dealing with this matter here, he must take her back for a proper meal.

Just as he was thinking about Xu Xia, his phone rang again.

Leng Zirui glanced at Ah Ke’s number, frowned, and connected the call. Could it be that girl had gotten into trouble again?!

”ROY, Miss Xu seems to be a bit unwell...”

”What?” Leng Zirui frowned, ”What happened?”

”This...” On the other end, Ah Ke looked at Xu Xia, who was curled up against the car seat, ”It seems like she has some stomach discomfort.”

”I’ll be right over.” Leng Zirui stood up abruptly.

”What’s wrong?” Luo Xiaoqian asked urgently.

Luo Ke had asked Leng Zirui to handle Luo Jun’s matters, which Luo Xiaoqian knew. Although Leng Zimo had told her not to worry, he hadn’t explained Leng Zirui’s identity to her. Naturally, as a mother, Luo Xiaoqian was concerned.

”It’s nothing,” Leng Zirui said blandly.

”Impossible. When you answered the call just now, you were clearly anxious. What’s really going on?”

”This...” Leng Zirui glanced at Luo Ke, ”I... a female companion I brought along in the car seems to be feeling unwell.”

Female companion?!

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t believe it for a moment and immediately ordered, ”Quick, find a doctor. Butler, you and Mr. ROY bring his female companion over.”

Leng Zirui dared not let her see Xu Xia and hurriedly said, ”It’s not that serious. Maybe it’s just motion sickness, Sissi, you don’t need to worry...”

But the more Leng Zirui explained, the more suspicious Luo Xiaoqian became, and she immediately stood up, ”I’ll go with you!”
