After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2218: Chapter 2222: You Remembered?

Xu Xia glanced at Leng Zirui and Leng Zimo, then pulled Xiao Qian to sit on a flat stone by the river.

”There are so many things, where should I start?”

Originally, she thought that with Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian’s love, as long as she heard the name Leng Zimo, Luo Xiaoqian would react. Who would have thought she would be so indifferent.

Xu Xia had no idea that Luo Xiaoqian was already aware of Leng Zimo’s existence, she just didn’t know Leng Zirui’s identity and still regarded him as Luo Ke’s confidant, ROY, so she didn’t dare to show it. ℯ

Xu Xia, however, had no qualms about Leng Zirui’s existence. Besides, she heard that this cook didn’t understand Chinese, so she naturally wasn’t worried he would report to Luo Ke. She just assumed Leng Zimo couldn’t understand.

After thinking it over, Xu Xia decided to go straight for the shock factor, starting directly from the proposal.

”Right, let’s start with their proposal. It was a worldwide sensation. At the time, the girl was participating in Leng Zimo’s company’s carnival performance at the Workers’ Stadium...”

Who knew when Luo Ke might suddenly appear? Now Xu Xia needed to seize the opportunity to stimulate Luo Xiaoqian’s nerves. After all, wasn’t it also because Leng Zimo saw Luo Xiaoqian that he began to remember bit by bit? If he could, Luo Xiaoqian certainly could too.

”I... no, I mean, is the girl you’re talking about an actress?” Luo Xiaoqian asked curiously.

”No, she’s a singer, she sings wonderfully and is very talented. She wrote many songs herself, and back then she became famous overnight with me in ’Huaxia Idol’. By the way, the song she performed in ’Huaxia Idol’ was rearranged by Leng Zimo for her. It’s that song ’White Moonlight’. You’ve definitely heard it, right?”

”I... don’t know.”

”Ah, sorry, Sissi, I forgot...” Xu Xia snapped back to reality and quickly apologized.

Luo Xiaoqian smiled, ”It’s alright.”

Even though this was supposedly their first meeting in memory, Luo Xiaoqian felt a connection with Xu Xia. She could tell Xu Xia was a straightforward and enthusiastic girl, and Xu Xia was telling her these stories purely to awaken her memories.

”How about I sing it for you?” Xu Xia thought of an idea.

”Sure.”

Clearing her throat lightly, Xu Xia tapped the rhythm gently, then began to sing.

”White moonlight, a place in the heart.

So bright, yet so cold...”

As she listened to Xu Xia singing, Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t help but hum along.

Hearing her voice, Xu Xia excitedly took her hand, ”Did you remember?”

”No,” Luo Xiaoqian shook her head gently, ”I just... it seems like I’ve heard this song before.”

In fact, she’d already heard Leng Zimo play and sing it for her.

”I don’t sing well, my voice isn’t suited for this kind of song. It’s a pity Leng Zimo isn’t here, that guy’s a musical genius. Not only can he play the piano, but he also plays the flute. Do you know what people call him... ’Golden Ear’. That guy’s ears were just born for music. When I heard he had a brain tumor, I was really worried...”

”Brain tumor?” Luo Xiaoqian worriedly glanced at Leng Zimo not far away, ”What’s going on?”

Hearing her ask, Xu Xia began to explain, ”It happened just recently...”

Not far away, Leng Zirui was helping Leng Zimo set up the grill. Listening to Xu Xia telling stories to Luo Xiaoqian, he just shook his head lightly.
