There was something to deal with, came back late.

After the events before today, Luo Xiaoqian’s guard against Luo Ke had grown increasingly intense, not daring to relax even a bit.

”Thank you!” Luo Xiaoqian took the juice and expressed her thanks, but didn’t immediately bring it to her lips, ”I’m feeling much better now, you should go rest too.”

”I’ve finished my work during the day, I can stay with you for a while.” Luo Ke lowered himself to sit beside her, then gestured to the juice in her hand with his chin, ”Why aren’t you drinking it? Didn’t you say earlier that you wanted juice?”

Luo Xiaoqian turned the straw to her side and took a gentle sip of the juice, savoring the words Luo Ke had spoken.

Finished work during the day?

So does that mean he has plans for the evening?!

Luo Ke sat next to her, watching her swallow the juice, feeling a surge of joy in his heart.

Eyes rarely lie, even for someone as insidious and cunning as Luo Ke. Imagining her under him soon, he couldn’t help but feel excited, the fire in his eyes becoming even more evident.

At this moment, Luo Xiaoqian was no longer the naive girl she once was. She could sense the change in Luo Ke’s eyes, and her mood grew increasingly tense.

”Um...” She lowered the juice cup, ”Could you help me get some snacks?”

”Of course.” Luo Ke immediately agreed and stood up, ”What do you like, cookies, cake, or biscuits?!”

”Anything will do.” Luo Xiaoqian replied casually.

”Alright, I’ll be right back...” Luo Ke walked toward the door, opened it, and then stopped, turning his face towards her, ”Finish the juice first, if it’s not enough, I’ll get you another cup.”

”Okay.”

”I’ll be back soon.”

Luo Ke smiled at her and stepped out of the room.

Luo Xiaoqian looked at the juice in her hand, furrowed her brow, thought for a moment, then immediately uncovered herself and got up, walked quickly to the bathroom, and poured the juice into the toilet, flushing it away.

Luo Ke’s excessive focus on the juice made her easily start to suspect. After all, it’s just a cup of juice, drinking one less wouldn’t matter. Ordinarily, this juice was personally brought to her by Leng Zimo, but now that it’s been through Luo Ke’s hands, Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t help but be wary.

This guy, who has twice acted forcefully against her, who can guarantee he wouldn’t do anything to the juice.

Bringing back the empty cup, Luo Xiaoqian thought again, searched the drawer, found a pair of scissors, and immediately carefully hid them under the pillow.

When Luo Ke arrived in the kitchen, Leng Zimo was cleaning up some of the waste and unused fruit left from juicing earlier, his mind distracted with worry for Luo Xiaoqian.

Hearing footsteps, he turned his face in confusion.

”Bring me a plate of snacks, the ones she likes to eat.” Luo Ke commanded.

”Okay.”

Leng Zimo took out a plate, opened the refrigerator, took out the cookies made earlier, picked a few to place on the plate, and also added some fruits like strawberries and cherries beside them.

Taking the plate, Luo Ke hurried upstairs, while Leng Zimo, worried, followed him out, Xu Xia was already back in the hall with Ah Ke and others.

Luo Xiaoqian suddenly left with a headache, Xu Xia naturally worried as well, not paying attention to Leng Zimo, hurriedly rushed up the stairs.

Just as she reached the second floor, she was stopped by Leng Zirui coming out from the corridor.
