After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2202: Chapter 2206: He’s Courting Death

The car rushed back to the hotel, and Leng Zirui entered the elevator with a stern face, ignoring everyone else. He went straight to his door, swiped the card, and opened the room.

With urgent steps, he rushed into the bedroom, only to find the bed empty and deserted.

”Ah Ke!” Leng Zirui shouted out loud.

Across the hall, Ah Ke was about to enter his own room. Upon hearing the shout, he immediately rushed over to him.

”Sir?”

”Find her immediately; she’s gone!”

”What?” Ah Ke glanced at the room in surprise. Through the open door, he saw the bedroom was indeed empty, ”This...”

Leng Zirui grabbed him by the collar, ”Go to the hotel security manager right away, check the elevator and stairway footage, and tell them... she’s my wife!”

After saying this, Leng Zirui shoved Ah Ke away.

”Alright, I’ll go immediately.”

Ah Ke dared not delay and hurriedly left the room, calling two of his subordinates to go find the hotel manager together.

Leng Zirui cautiously circled the bed, meticulously observing the direction of the thin blanket, then got up and went to the bathroom.

On the washbasin, there were a few long strands of hair. It seemed Xu Xia had used the bathroom after waking up.

Could it be that she discovered the secret of the tie and escaped on her own?!

He took out his cell phone and dialed Ah Jiu again.

”Any news on Xu Xia?” ℯℯ𝑙.

”No, we’re still looking, haven’t found anything yet.”

If Xu Xia had escaped on her own, she would definitely try to contact Ah Jiu and the others. No news for so long clearly wasn’t this situation, so it must be the second possibility; she was taken by someone.

Was it Luo Ke? Or Lei Qingqing?! Or perhaps someone else?!

”You all head back to protect Luo Jun first; I’ll handle Xu Xia’s situation,” Leng Zirui ordered over the phone.

In case someone else was stirring up trouble this time, he didn’t want Luo Jun to be in danger again.

”Got it.”

Ah Jiu hung up the phone.

Leng Zirui raised his hand, wrapping the found strand of long hair around his finger, slowly clenching his fist.

Who could it be?!

The phone rang once more, this time it was Ah Ke calling.

”Sir, we have a lead; we just checked the surveillance footage, and someone took Miss Xu away.”

Leng Zirui tightened his grip on the phone, ”Who?”

”The young master of the Shangguan family, Shangguan Feng.” Ah Ke mentioned the name.

”Shangguan Feng?” Leng Zirui raised an eyebrow, ”Find his address immediately, the sooner the better. Daring to take my woman, he must be courting death!”

...

...

Shangguan Feng’s villa.

The maid brought in lunch with a smile, placing it on the dining table.

”Sir, lunch is ready.”

”Alright.” Shangguan Feng gave a slight smile to Xu Xia across from him, ”Care for some lunch?”

”I don’t have an appetite,” Xu Xia replied lightly.

”I know you don’t trust me, but you still need to eat,” Shangguan Feng’s lips curved elegantly and warmly, ”Miss Xu, if I was somewhat over the line when bringing you here, I sincerely apologize. I truly mean no harm.”

Xu Xia stood up, her gaze fixed on his face, ”If you mean no harm, then let me go now.”

”I’m sorry, Miss Xu,” Shangguan Feng showed an apologetic expression, ”Until I retrieve your passport and send you back to Beijing, I can’t let you leave.”

Lei Qingqing’s influence in Rome was too great, letting her go could potentially have her fall into their hands again. If that were to happen, everything he did would be meaningless.
