After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2203: Chapter 2207: Maybe You’ll Be Interested

”Ha...” Xu Xia sneered, ”Sounds so touching, for my own good, for my own good, you can imprison me?”

As for Shangguan Feng, Xu Xia could never have the same trust as with Leng Zirui, especially since Shangguan Feng’s attitude was slightly forceful when he tried to take her away just now, which made Xu Xia increasingly dislike and distrust him.

As they say, a fall into the pit, a gain in your wit.

Having learned from Tang Ming’s prior example, Xu Xia was even more wary and cautious of Shangguan Feng, who seemed like a gentle gentleman.

”Alright, even if that’s the case, you still want to eat lunch, right?” Shangguan Feng felt a bit helpless, after all, it was the first time he was doing something like this, and he really had no experience dealing with people like Lei Qingqing.

Xu Xia crossed her arms, snorted coldly, clearly showing her distrust.

”Or else...” Shangguan Feng thought for a moment, ”We go upstairs and take a look, you can check out some of my collection, maybe you’ll be interested?”

He raised a hand, ”Please.”

Xu Xia glanced at him, then stepped upstairs.

When in a lowly situation, one cannot help but bow.

This guy seemed to have a relatively mild attitude now; if she didn’t comply, who knows if he’d use force. She would deal with him for now and then think of a way to escape.

The two went upstairs together, and Shangguan Feng opened the study door.

Xu Xia took a glance inside, confirmed it was a study and not a bedroom, and then stepped inside.

Shangguan Feng took a trophy from the shelf, ”Look, this is an architecture design award I got from Asia. Actually, half of the credit belongs to you. At that time, I was designing a project for an Asian company and had no idea until I accidentally saw you... No, it was your MV on a large screen on the street. You were wearing an African-themed dress... My inspiration for the construction came from you.”

”Really?”

Xu Xia glanced at the trophy, her eyes quickly darted around, noticing a paper cutter on the table. She casually walked over and leaned against the table.

”Of course, why would I lie to you?” Shangguan Feng put the trophy back in its place, ”Since then, I’ve been following you closely, hoping to find more creative inspiration from you. You should remember that building by Lei’s, right? When I built that tower, I kept listening to your song ’The Sea Breeze Blows Through Your Hair’.”

Xu Xia didn’t really pay attention to what he was saying; her hand was quietly reaching for the paper cutter on the table.

”By the way...” Shangguan Feng walked over to the table, and Xu Xia hurriedly withdrew her fingers that were almost touching the knife. He had already picked up a blueprint from the table and brought it in front of her, ”Take a look at this, what do you think? This is a new design job I recently accepted for a commercial building in Beijing. The other party hopes it will become a landmark building. Since you’re also from Beijing, any ideas?”

”I don’t understand these.”

Xu Xia took the blueprint, glanced at it, then casually placed it on the table while grabbing the paper cutter.

”Actually, it’s not that profound; I’ve always thought architecture was a form of art. If we just settle for things that can shield us from wind and rain, then what’s the difference from primitive man...” Shangguan Feng spoke eloquently while looking at the blueprint on the table, ”Do you know what my biggest dream is?”

”What is it?” Xu Xia feigned interest, quietly moving to his side, her hand behind her back, slowly pushing out the blade of the paper cutter.
