After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2049: Chapter 2053: Specially Enhanced

Taking several gulps of clear water, he finally managed to suppress the feeling of discomfort.

Frowning, he looked at Luo Xiaoqian in confusion, ”Did I really think this stuff... tastes good?”

”Don’t you like it?” Luo Xiaoqian observed Luo Ke’s expression, ”How about letting them get you a new one?”

”No need!” Luo Ke wiped the water stain from the corner of his mouth, ”It’s not early, I should be going.”

With his nose still uncomfortable, he utterly lost his appetite, and after this breakfast experience, he grew to dislike Chinese food even more.

Outside the kitchen, Leng Zimo lifted the corners of his lips in silence.

Is the food he makes something anyone can eat?

Daring to make a move on his woman was absolutely unforgivable.

In Luo Ke’s breakfast, he had deliberately added some special ingredients—a bit of wasabi powder and a bit of pepper.

If mixed evenly, it could add flavor, but if all concentrated together, it was an absolutely painful experience. And the wonton bearing the ”special ingredients” happened to be in Luo Ke’s bowl, which is why he specifically instructed the maid not to mix it up.

There was only one such wonton, and after Luo Ke ate it, it would be hard to find evidence again, so Leng Zimo wasn’t worried about Luo Ke coming after him.

Luo Xiaoqian stood up, ”Shall I see you off?”

She was merely asking out of politeness; even if it wasn’t Luo Ke but someone else, she would do the same.

Luo Ke, however, took this as her reluctance to part.

”Enjoy your breakfast.” Although the breakfast wasn’t pleasant, Luo Ke was very satisfied with her demeanor, ”The meeting will last about an hour, and I’ll hurry back as soon as I can.”

”No need to rush...” Luo Xiaoqian blurted out. Realizing she had unintentionally spoken the truth, she hurriedly explained, ”I mean, you don’t have to push yourself so hard, I’ll... wait for you to come back for dinner.”

Luo Ke smiled, walked from the other side of the table, and reached out to cup her face, ”I’ll try to be back before lunch.”

Then Luo Ke bent down, leaned toward her forehead, and Luo Xiaoqian instinctively lowered her head, causing Luo Ke’s kiss to land on her hair.

Seeing her flushed face, Luo Ke didn’t push further. He gently tidied a strand of her fallen hair and released her with a smile.

”Take good care of the lady.”

Giving instructions to the two maids, Luo Ke turned and headed to the dining room, not forgetting to look back at Luo Xiaoqian and wave before stepping out.

”See you at noon!”

Luo Xiaoqian had already sat back in her chair, returning to her breakfast. Hearing his voice, she hurriedly swallowed the wonton in her spoon and waved at him.

”See you at noon.”

With a mouth full of wonton, one side of her cheek adorably puffed up, making her voice sound a bit muffled and slightly rushed, which was extremely cute.

Luo Ke’s heart softened, feeling that having a woman beside him to casually eat and bid farewell wasn’t a bad thing.

Indeed, she was his most valuable treasure. With a cheerful mood, Luo Ke strode out the door, boarded the helicopter, and watched as the small island gradually faded into the distance, feeling a rare twinge of reluctance.

”Speed up a bit; I need to be back before noon.”

His subordinate dared not delay and immediately accelerated the helicopter toward Rome.

In the dining room, only Luo Xiaoqian and the two maids were left. Without Luo Ke around, Luo Xiaoqian felt completely at ease, and her breakfast tasted even more delicious.
