After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2038: Chapter 2042: Child?

”Alright!” Luo Ke immediately agreed, then added, ”But I need to make some arrangements.”

”When will it be?” Luo Xiaoqian pressed on.

Luo Ke didn’t reply specifically right away; his dark green eyes scrutinized her face with a hint of assessment. ”Why do you want to go to Rome?”

Luo Ke had never encountered a truly amnesiac person, so he wasn’t aware if someone with amnesia could still remember common knowledge, like Rome.

However, Luo Xiaoqian’s urgency made him faintly feel that something seemed off about this matter.

”Because I want to know who I really am,” Luo Xiaoqian wrapped her arms around herself. ”I hate this feeling of being lost. I just think, maybe if I return to an environment I’m familiar with, I’ll remember something.”

Of course, she also wanted to know the truth, to find out who the father of the child in her belly is, to understand who is telling the truth between Luo Ke and that man, and more importantly... she needs to find him—the man who always appears in her mind yet remains unclear to her.

Her tone carried a sense of desolation, infused with a deeply lonely emotion.

Being a person who doesn’t know who she is, whose child she is carrying, nor what she’s been through... it’s an unpleasant feeling.

Looking at her, Luo Ke’s heart slowly wrinkled with sympathy.

”I’m sorry, Sissi!” Luo Ke raised his hand gently, holding her shoulder tenderly. ”I didn’t know things would turn out this way.”

He wanted to possess her, have her, keep her, but he didn’t want to see her looking so forlorn.

”I’ll arrange everything as soon as possible, then take you back to Rome, to places we used to live and play...” Luo Ke breathed in slowly. ”Don’t worry, even if you can’t remember anything, it doesn’t matter. You have no past, but you still have the present and the future... you have me and our child.”

This time, Luo Ke wasn’t deceiving her, as there was also a genuine feeling revealed in his words.

From the first time he saw her at the Russian Airport, Luo Ke was deeply impressed by this girl.

Although he initially approached her to retrieve a USB drive, after meeting her at an exhibition—especially after seeing her performance—Luo Ke genuinely started to like her.

Her beauty, her sincerity... were things he had never seen in any woman he had known.

Just like he valued his collectibles, he liked her and decided to keep her.

The initial motivation was that simple.

However, even Luo Ke himself didn’t realize that his attitude towards her was quietly changing.

Luo Xiaoqian raised her face to look at him, her reflection visible in his deep green eyes, with a look of gentle concern.

”You said... the child?”

Thinking about the child in her belly, Luo Xiaoqian involuntarily recalled that note.

”Yes, our child, of course, he’s still in your belly now,” Luo Ke chuckled.

”He...” Luo Xiaoqian placed her hand over her abdomen, ”Does he have a name?”

Name?!

Luo Ke was slightly startled, then quickly returned to normal.

”Of course, not yet. He’s so small, we don’t even know if he’s a boy or girl now, so it’s a bit early for that. But in the future... I will definitely give him a beautiful name...”
