After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2032: Chapter 2036: ”L

Leng Zirui’s right hand seemed to casually hold the spoon, but his fingertips were already exerting force. In fact, if Luo Ke insisted further, he wouldn’t mind doing something drastic.

A task is a task, but if it means watching his big brother die, that’s absolutely impossible!

Luo Ke was silent, his face tense.

He was indeed jealous, almost to the point of madness.

”Indeed, I could find you a new chef, but have you considered what Sissi would think of this?” Leng Zirui spoke casually, yet his gaze subtly observed Luo Ke’s reactions. ”Women like men going crazy for them, but they don’t like a tyrannical despot.”

Earlier, Luo Xiaoqian’s behavior had already revealed issues.

Luo Ke didn’t need Leng Zirui’s reminder to see this.

If he truly killed the chef, Sissi would certainly be very disappointed in him.

”Sir?”

The bodyguard standing nearby awaited Luo Ke’s orders.

”Forget it.” Luo Ke heavily placed the tableware down, ”This time, I’ll let it go!”

Leng Zirui secretly breathed a sigh of relief as he saw Luo Ke stand up to go upstairs, quickly rising to follow him.

”I have something to discuss with you.”

”What is it?” Luo Ke stopped and asked impatiently.

”About... Lei Wenting!” Leng Zirui replied.

”Lei Wenting?” Luo Ke turned his face, his dark green eyes scrutinizing him as he met Leng Zirui’s gaze. After a brief contemplation, he said, ”Come upstairs with me.”

Glancing towards the kitchen, Leng Zirui secretly relaxed, turning to follow Luo Ke upstairs.

Cold Zimo, in the kitchen, was unaware of the events unfolding in the dining room, until the servant took the plates back, letting him know that the group had already left.

By this time, the cook was already preparing dinner.

Besides Luo Ke and Luo Xiaoqian, the other bodyguards and servants on the island needed to eat. These tasks were handled by the cook, as they did not have high expectations for meals, only needing to fill their stomachs.

Leng Zimo voluntarily walked over to help, chatting with the cook along the way, wanting to learn more about the island’s situation to survive safely here.

”How many people’s meals do we need to prepare?”

”Including the bodyguards and staff, there are thirty-three in total, plus the butler, three maids, myself and you, let’s prepare for forty people.” The cook answered while busily working.

”Isn’t it thirty-nine people?” Leng Zimo was puzzled.

”There are others on the island.” The cook replied.

”Others?” Leng Zimo immediately asked, ”Who are they?”

”Well... you better not ask too much.” The cook glanced at him, ”On this island, the less you know, the better. If you hear anything unusual at night, absolutely don’t go out. If you see anything suspicious, just pretend you didn’t see it, and one more thing, don’t provoke Mr. Luo Ke, he’s... quite dangerous. Be respectful to the madam, as the gentleman cares a great deal for her.”

As a main chef, who dared to help with such tasks, the cook thought Leng Zimo was a good person, which is why she advised him.

”By the way, what’s your name?”

”Me?!” Leng Zimo hesitated slightly, ”I’m called ’L’!”

”’L’?!” The cook was surprised, ”This is the first time I’ve heard someone named after a letter.”
