After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2028: Chapter 2032: First Is Beauty, Second Is Good Food

Leng Zirui’s comment deeply resonated with Luo Ke.

Luo Ke was previously worried that if the Chinese cuisine chef recognized Luo Xiaoqian, or if something came up during their conversation with her, there might be slip-ups.

Luo Xiaoqian was once a singer, and five years ago, she was popular across the Asia Region, having significant influence in the Chinese community. With her return to the country and the rekindling of her relationship with Leng Zimo becoming public, she, once almost forgotten, has returned to the spotlight, becoming the center of attention.

Since it was about finding a Chinese cuisine chef for her, naturally, only someone from China could make it authentic.

Regarding this, Luo Ke was somewhat conflicted.

After all, Luo Xiaoqian hasn’t fully accepted him yet, and he was worried things might go wrong.

However, now, hearing this from Leng Zirui, some of the worries in Luo Ke’s heart slightly eased.

Of course, another worry also arose.

Can an Italian who barely speaks Chinese really make delicious Chinese cuisine?

”Is his Chinese food truly tasty?”

”Absolutely authentic.” Leng Zirui winked at him, ”There are two things in this world where my taste will never be poor, first is beauty, second is food.”

Luo Ke slightly furrowed his brows, as Luo Xiaoqian has not been eating well for several consecutive days, and he was genuinely concerned about her physical condition.

While the two were chatting in the living room, Leng Zimo was already busy in the kitchen.

Considering that Luo Xiaoqian hadn’t been eating well these days, he didn’t prepare anything extravagant but started with a pot of porridge on the stove, and then prepared some light yet nutritious stir-fried dishes—of course, all of which were her favorites.

When the porridge was almost ready, his preparations were also complete.

Luo Ke was getting a bit impatient and sent someone to the kitchen to inquire.

”Inform them they can wait at the dining table,” Leng Zimo immediately said.

The maid returned to report to Luo Ke, who was satisfied with his efficiency and immediately instructed the maid to go upstairs and invite Luo Xiaoqian down for dinner.

In the downstairs bedroom, after taking an afternoon nap, Luo Xiaoqian was standing on the terrace, staring blankly at the sea.

In her mind, the content of those two notes kept flashing, along with the words of the man who had appeared earlier, and the way he helped her put on shoes.

”I’ve done this kind of thing for you countless times.”

She could still vividly remember his tone and appearance when he said that, the way he naturally put on shoes for her, it felt as if he really had done it countless times before.

Where exactly is that man now?!

Could he really have been lost at sea?

...

”Madam!” The maid’s voice sounded.

Luo Xiaoqian was startled, turning her face in a somewhat flustered manner, ”What’s the matter?”

”Sir invites you downstairs for dinner,” the maid replied in English.

Although Luo Xiaoqian didn’t have much of an appetite, she still turned to walk toward the door. No matter what, there was a small life inside her, and even though she didn’t know whether the father was Luo Ke or that man, Luo Xiaoqian had a natural affection for this child, and she didn’t want the little one’s health to be affected.

The two went downstairs one after the other, and by the time they arrived at the dining room, the maid had already served the first dish prepared by Leng Zimo.

Luo Ke had originally been seated at the dining table. When he saw Luo Xiaoqian approaching, he immediately stood up like a gentleman, pulled out the chair beside him for her, and helped her with the napkin.
