After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2017: Chapter 2021: Are You Alone?

The little guy sobbed as he answered, ”If you die, then you’re a big liar. I’ll never forgive you.”

”Don’t worry, Daddy won’t die. Daddy promises you.” Leng Zimo said solemnly.

”Then have you found Mommy?” the little guy asked on the other end of the phone.

”Yeah, Daddy already found out where Mommy is, I’m trying to figure out how to get her out now.” Seeing that the little guy had calmed down a bit, Leng Zimo finally asked, ”Tell Daddy, where are you now?”

”I’m in Milan.”

”Milan?” Leng Zimo froze. ”How come you’re in Milan?”

The little guy also knew he’d done something wrong, and his voice dropped. ”I... I knew you were in Rome, so I secretly slipped onto a plane.”

”Are you all by yourself?” Leng Zimo’s heart instantly leapt into his throat.

”No, I’m with Godmom. Godmom is in Milan too, she’s right next to me now.”

Hearing this, Leng Zimo finally relaxed a little.

”Daddy!” Luo Jun blurted out anxiously, ”Can I... come find you?”

Leng Zimo hesitated. ”It’s very dangerous where Daddy is.”

”But I really, really miss you and Mommy, and Xiao Xiao... I promise, as long as you let me come over, I’ll definitely be good, I definitely won’t cause you any trouble... I can stay quietly in the room and not go anywhere. Whatever you tell me to do, I’ll do it, I’ll definitely behave, really, I definitely won’t run around... Daddy, don’t let Uncle Xiao Jie take me back to Beijing, okay? I really miss you guys... Daddy, I’m begging you...”

Listening to that milky little voice on the other end of the line saying such sensible things, Leng Zimo felt nothing but a deep ache in his heart.

He could be cold and indifferent to anyone, but Luo Xiaoqian and Luo Jun would always be his weak spot.

”All right!” After hesitating for a long time, Leng Zimo finally spoke. ”Daddy can agree, but only if you promise to behave.”

He really couldn’t turn down a request from this child. He owed this child too much; he couldn’t disappoint him again.

Right now he already had a lead on rescuing Xiao Qian. Once he got her out, helping her recover her memory would be another problem. This child was the apple of Xiao Qian’s eye; maybe he could help with getting her memory back.

”I promise, I promise I’ll behave.” Luo Jun said immediately.

”Okay then, put Godmom on the phone.”

”Godmom, Daddy wants you to answer the phone.” Luo Jun immediately handed the phone to Xu Xia. Xu Xia quickly took the call and put it to her ear. ”Leng Zimo?”

”It’s me.” Leng Zimo said gratefully on the other end, ”Xu Xia, thank you for taking care of Mo Mo.”

”What are you saying, I’m his godmother, it’s what I should do.” Xu Xia hugged the little guy beside her and carefully asked, ”You... how are things going over there, is it going smoothly?”

”I’ve got some leads.” Leng Zimo paused for a moment. ”How much longer will your work in Milan take?”

”It should be finished today, then I have to go to Rome. The work there will take longer, about a week or so.”

”Then bring Luo Jun along with you. Things are a bit complicated right now. Xiao Qian has lost her memory, and I’m thinking maybe Mo Mo can be of some help.”

”Lost...” Xu Xia cried out in shock. Thinking of Luo Jun by her side, she hurriedly suppressed her surprise and lowered her voice. ”What happened?”

”It’s not convenient to talk about it on the phone. Are Xiao Jie and the others with you too?”
