After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2011: Chapter 2015: Heavier Flavors

Downstairs.

Leng Zirui sat lazily at the dining table, holding a cup of eight-treasure porridge, sipping it idly, ”Did you find the body?”

Across from him, a few subordinates who had just returned from the sea were devouring the Chinese breakfast on the table.

One subordinate put down his milk cup, ”Everything’s blown into pieces, didn’t find any valuable clues. I suspect that guy’s probably already eaten by fish.”

”Mr. ROY, rest assured, that guy is definitely dead,” another chimed in while eating.

Light footsteps sounded, and Luo Ke walked in slowly.

Seeing him, the few subordinates quickly put down their food and stood up from their chairs.

”Sir!”

”How is it?” Luo Ke asked sternly.

”We searched the area of the explosion thoroughly, only saw some speedboat fragments, nothing else. That person should have been blown to pieces,” a subordinate replied respectfully.

”Just worried about the unexpected, I’ll take a stroll on the nearby beach,” Leng Zirui picked up his coat from the chair, looking fierce, ”That guy better be dead, or I’ll make him wish he was!”

Walking out of the villa, Leng Zirui strode towards the beach, and as he walked along the shore, ensuring no one was watching, he swiftly dove into the bushes, pulling out a wireless mic from his coat.

”My dear brother, where are you?!”

”Ten o’clock direction, I’m about three hundred meters away from you.” Leng Zimo’s voice came clearly through the earpiece.

Leng Zirui smirked slightly, ”It’s a pity you’re not in the military.”

”If I were, there’d be no place for you as General,” Leng Zimo replied coolly.

Following Leng Zimo’s guidance, the two brothers soon met in the woods, and Leng Zirui promptly pulled out two fruits and some meat buns from his coat to hand to him, ”Well... your breakfast, got buns thanks to the sister-in-law.”

”How’s her appetite?” Leng Zimo took them but didn’t eat right away, instead asking with concern about Luo Xiaoqian’s condition.

”Not good, she vomited right after sipping some soup, then Luo Ke brought some milk up for her, not sure if she drank it.” Leng Zirui frowned slightly, worried for Luo Xiaoqian too, ”I don’t remember her having such a strong reaction before, is it because of the unfamiliar environment?”

”Her reaction this time is intense, can’t handle anything slightly rich.” Leng Zimo glanced at the buns in his hand, ”Chinese food is also tough for her?”

”Not sure if it’s the chef, this chef was hired by Luo Ke just last night, made only one meal before being fired, don’t know if he’s dead or alive. When I left, the butler was preparing, seems like they’re looking for another chef.”

Leng Zimo frowned deeply, worry etched all over his face.

Luo Xiaoqian’s health wasn’t strong to begin with, now pregnant with Xiao Xiao, how can she withstand it if she can’t eat properly?!

”No way!” He raised his face to look at Leng Zirui, ”Zirui, we must get her out as soon as possible, otherwise I’m worried about her health and Xiao Xiao.”

Leng Zirui furrowed his brow, understanding Leng Zimo’s concern, but rescuing Luo Xiaoqian now was easier said than done.

”The third-floor bedroom has a standalone security system, can’t enter without the password. Power’s restored, all security equipment is activated. You’ll be discovered without entering the villa, and Xiao Qian has lost her memory, not very cooperative. Bringing her out of the villa will be tough.”

”Or...” Leng Zimo looked at the buns in his hand, ”Didn’t you say Luo Ke is looking for a chef? I’ll go!”
