After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2048: Chapter 2052: Make Sure Not to Deliver the Wrong One

From yesterday’s dinner to the exquisite midnight snack, Luo Xiaoqian was also filled with anticipation about the new chef’s culinary skills.

Of course, it wasn’t just because of the food he made, but also because of the chef himself. It was a strange feeling.

For the first time in days, going to the restaurant to eat became something to look forward to rather than a headache at the mere thought of it.

Luo Xiaoqian lightheartedly walked into the restaurant. A luxurious embroidered tablecloth was spread on the long dining table, and the maid had already set the tableware. Seeing her, they immediately greeted her politely and respectfully.

Turning around, Luo Xiaoqian walked to the end of the dining table.

This was Luo Ke’s rule. Even if it was just the two of them dining, they occupied the main seats at each end of the long table. Luo Ke followed behind her, helping her pull out the chair and place the napkin, gentlemanly and elegant.

But Luo Xiaoqian felt a bit uncomfortable. It was just breakfast after all; wasn’t it a bit too grand?

A maid saw the two enter and immediately walked into the kitchen.

”Mr. L, Madam and Sir have arrived at the dining room.”

Leng Zimo responded with a light hum, dropping the wrapped wontons into the pot. The boiling water soon cooked the wontons, and he deftly placed them into the prepared bowls.

”Is it ready?”

The maid stood aside, enjoying watching him place the side dishes onto the plates.

He didn’t look very young anymore, yet this man seemed to have an aura. Even just a silhouette of him held a significant allure, making her always want to keep looking at him.

”This one is for Madam.” Leng Zimo raised his hand to point to the portion on the left. ”The other one is for Sir; make sure not to mix them up.”

The two maids nodded, carefully remembering, and picked up the trays to walk out, delivering the two breakfasts that appeared indistinguishable to the two of them.

Leng Zimo followed behind them, stopping outside the dining room door, listening intently.

In the jade porcelain bowl, the beautifully jewel-like handmade wontons, paired with beautifully cut greens, looked appetizing at first sight.

Even the greens were cut so beautifully; this chef must truly love cooking.

I wonder what his wife would be like. Surely, having such a husband must be very happy, right?

Luo Xiaoqian secretly thought in her heart, using a spoon to scoop a wonton up to her mouth. The soup was fragrant but not overwhelmingly strong, the skin thin with substantial filling, very palatable, and the taste held a familiar feeling, as if she had heard of this flavor before.

Could it be that she had been to his restaurant before?!

Thinking about this, Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face to look at Luo Ke across from her.

”What is the name of the restaurant where this chef works?”

”The chef was brought in by ROY; I’m not too sure.” Luo Ke returned a smile, ”How does it taste?”

”It’s great.” Luo Xiaoqian looked at his untouched tableware, ”Why aren’t you eating?”

”I... was just about to.”

Luo Ke picked up his spoon. Having a habit of drinking black coffee for breakfast, he wasn’t really fond of this kind of soupy dish, especially the greens, which he hated. However, he didn’t want to disappoint Luo Xiaoqian, so he picked up the spoon and scooped a wonton into his mouth.

The strange taste hit his senses, and Luo Ke felt a stinging sensation in his nose and eyes, raising his eyebrows in discomfort.

”What’s wrong?”

Seeing his odd expression, Luo Xiaoqian asked, puzzled.

”I... cough...” Luo Ke opened his mouth to speak, but the pungent taste rushed into his nasal cavity, causing him to cough uncontrollably. It took a lot of effort for him to swallow the wonton down.
