After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2027: Chapter 2031: The New Master

When the subordinates brought down the ingredients, the bodyguards guarding the dock also stepped forward, their eyes puzzled as they fell upon Leng Zimo.

”He is the new head chef Mr. ROY brought back for the master!” the subordinate explained, handing the ingredients to his companion.

Carrying the ingredients, Leng Zirui led Leng Zimo all the way into the mansion.

The butler immediately went upstairs to report, and moments later, light footsteps were heard coming down the stairs.

Luo Ke slowly descended from upstairs, while Leng Zirui sat on the back of the sofa, pinching a newly bought apple and eating it leisurely. Seeing Luo Ke come downstairs, Leng Zirui did not get up, merely curled his lips at Luo Ke and then focused his gaze on Leng Zimo.

”Head chef, this is your new master!”

”What do you want from me, I... I’m just a head chef, I...”

Leng Zimo looked at Luo Ke and spoke in Italian, his tone filled with trepidation, and his eyes with a worried expression—a typical reaction of an ordinary person when caught unexpectedly.

No wonder he’s an Oscar-winning actor, his acting is flawless!

Leng Zirui watched his elder brother’s expression, only marveling in his heart.

”Are you Italian?” Luo Ke asked in Italian.

Leng Zimo nodded.

”Where were you born?” Luo Ke walked a few steps towards him.

”Milan.”

”A very nice place.” Luo Ke scrutinized Leng Zimo in front of him, ”Why would an Italian want to learn Chinese cuisine?”

”Because I want to be the best head chef.” Leng Zimo’s tone brightened slightly, sounding as if he was genuinely passionate about his profession.

”Oh, that’s a very nice aspiration.” Luo Ke took a step towards him, his dark green eyes slightly squinting, ”You seem very nervous, head chef.”

”Because I... I don’t know what you want me to do.”

”That’s simple. Since you’re a chef, I brought you here to cook, of course.” Luo Ke shrugged, ”My wife is pregnant and has very picky tastes. If you can satisfy her discerning appetite, then... I will reward you handsomely, one million US dollars every week...”

”But I’m a restaurant chef, I don’t want to be a household chef, and I...”

Luo Ke lightly coughed, interrupting him, ”If you fail to satisfy her taste, I assure you, you’ll never cook again.”

”Sir...”

”I give you one hour!” Luo Ke interrupted him again, ”One hour later, I will ask my wife to come downstairs for dinner. I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

”...”

Seeing Leng Zimo wanting to speak again, Luo Ke continued, his voice very cold, ”I don’t like talkative people. If necessary, I won’t hesitate to cut out your tongue!”

”Alright!” Leng Zimo feigned submission, ”What does the lady like to eat?”

”What she likes isn’t important. What’s important is what you plan to prepare for her.” Luo Ke walked to the sofa and sat down, ”Head chef, you have 58 minutes left. Take him to the kitchen!”

Two subordinates immediately walked over, taking Leng Zimo to the kitchen.

”Sissi will definitely like his cooking. I’ve eaten it myself, and it tasted quite good.” Leng Zirui bit into the apple and sat on the sofa opposite Luo Ke, ”And most importantly, he can cook Chinese cuisine, but can’t speak Chinese, only Italian. As far as I know, Sissi and I don’t understand Italian.”
