After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2043: Chapter 2047: The Different Fates of Two Pillows

The elevator doors opened slowly, and a pot-bellied Caucasian man walked in.

With a side glance at the man’s belly, Leng Zirui relaxed a bit.

The elevator doors closed again and continued to ascend.

Leng Zirui straightened up, but inwardly he only felt self-mockery.

Even if Xu Xia wanted to go downstairs, this elevator was going up, she shouldn’t be able to appear, yet he was tense thinking she might. Indeed, when it comes to that girl, would he always make wrong judgments?

The elevator stopped at the 19th floor, Leng Zirui stepped out, already deciding internally to change hotels as soon as possible.

He couldn’t keep thinking about avoiding Xu Xia every time he appeared; better safe than sorry. If they really met as a couple, how would he explain his presence in Italy to her?

Now, Luo Ke had been temporarily stabilized by him, next he needed to contact Lei Wenting and the rest, under no circumstances could Xu Xia get involved.

Once the mission was over, he would definitely take a long vacation and spend time with her.

”Sorry, honey, I really can’t see you this time.”

Murmuring softly, Leng Zirui strode to Ah Ke’s room and knocked on the door.

Ah Ke opened the door, seeing him, immediately welcoming him in courteously.

”How’s it going?”

”I’ve stabilized Luo Ke, next step is to gain Lei Wenting’s trust.” Leng Zirui sat on the small sofa in the room, gently tapping the sofa back with his fingers, ”Also, I want to change hotels.”

”Why?” Ah Ke asked puzzled, ”Don’t you always prefer this hotel every time you come to Rome?”

”I want a change of pace, is that not allowed?” Leng Zirui gave him a sidelong look.

”Of course, you’re free to do so.” Ah Ke smiled appreciatively, ”I’m just curious, do you want to change now?”

”No need, wait until tomorrow.” Leng Zirui yawned, ”Help me make a call to Lei Wenting, I’m inviting him to dinner tomorrow.”

Ah Ke’s lips curled in a suggestive way, ”Is Lei Qingqing included in the invitation?”

Ah, with a reputation of a womanizer, trying not to indulge is impossible!

Leng Zirui stood up from the sofa, glancing at him lightly, ”What do you think?”

Ah Ke laughed softly, ”I understand.”

Sent Leng Zirui to the door, Ah Ke picked up the room card, respectfully handing it over, ”But, do you... actually like Lei Qingqing?”

”Her?” Leng Zirui took the room card, curled his lips, ”If she weren’t bearing the surname Lei, I wouldn’t be interested at all.”

”That’s good.” Ah Ke nodded.

Ray has always been a romantic, Ah Ke was genuinely worried Ray’s attraction to Lei Qingqing might interfere with matters.

Back in the room, tossing his coat casually onto the sofa, Leng Zirui threw himself onto the large bed, hugging one of the pillows randomly.

”Honey, your husband is now so pitiful he can only hug a pillow. Next time we meet, you must make it up to me.” Giving the pillow in his arms a light kiss, Leng Zirui stretched long, ”Husband is going to clean up, wait for me obediently, okay!”

Several floors away, in the room on the 16th floor, Xu Xia’s pillow did not receive such treatment.

Sitting astride the pillow, Xu Xia threw punches and kicks at it, pretending it was Leng Zirui.

”Bastard, big bastard, if I had known, I wouldn’t have liked you. I have work tomorrow, now I can’t sleep, what should I do, Leng Zirui, you big bastard, see how I’ll deal with you when we meet...”
