After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2023: Chapter 2027: He... Is Very Busy

So, the group parked their car again and walked into this high-end Chinese restaurant.

They were politely guided to a top-level private room on the third floor by the staff, and Leng Zirui immediately pretended to order a heap of dishes.

The food and drinks were served quickly, and the dishes looked quite appetizing. Leng Zirui immediately picked up his chopsticks to start eating.

To please his Asian girlfriend, ROY deliberately learned to use Chinese tableware, so Ah Ke wasn’t surprised by his taste for Chinese food and his skills with the utensils.

Once they were fully content with the food and drink, Leng Zirui lowered the chopsticks he was holding.

”I want to see the chef!”

”This...” The male server was a bit embarrassed, ”These are all made by our boss. He... is very busy!”

”So busy that he’s careless about having iron wire in the food?” Leng Zirui stretched out his chopsticks and pulled out a thin iron wire from the dish.

The male server’s face instantly changed, and he apologized profusely, ”I am truly sorry, I’ll immediately call our boss over!”

Ah Ke looked at the wire on his chopsticks, imagining the potential hygiene issues in the dishes he had just consumed, only slightly furrowing his brow.

”Don’t worry.” Leng Zirui tossed the iron wire onto the table, ”I just put it in myself, these dishes have no issues.”

As soon as he finished his sentence, the door to the private room was pushed open, the male server carefully opened the door, letting a person in. The person waved gently, and the male server then left, closing the door to the room.

The man was around his forties or fifties, tall and dressed in a white chef’s uniform, his salt-and-pepper hair and a beard almost covered half of his face, and beneath equally frosted eyebrows were a pair of slightly hazy gray eyes.

”I am the person in charge of this restaurant, is there anything I can assist you with?!”

Approaching Leng Zirui, the man politely inquired in Italian.

Leng Zirui furrowed his brows; he did understand Italian, but ROY did not, so he had to pretend not to understand.

Ah Ke hurriedly helped him translate.

Leng Zirui carefully scrutinized the man and then nodded towards the dishes on the table, ”Did you make all these dishes?”

Ah Ke helped translate this to the other party.

”Yes.” The man replied in Italian.

While the man was speaking, Leng Zirui scrutinized him closely.

The elder brother had previously mentioned that this was the Chinese restaurant, although this man’s physique was somewhat similar to his elder brother, but...

Noticing Leng Zirui’s gaze, the man suddenly winked at him discreetly and then reached out his left hand to pick up the iron wire from the table. Despite the visible marks of time on his face, indicating middle age, the man’s palm was very delicate with long fingers.

As he reached for the wire, a watch on his wrist slightly revealed itself, and seeing that watch, Leng Zirui instantly confirmed that this man in front was his elder brother, Leng Zimo.

A true actor indeed, even adept at makeup techniques; he was almost completely fooled.

Recognizing the person in front as Leng Zimo, Leng Zirui finally felt relieved and immediately said in English, ”I want to hire you as my private chef!”

After Ah Ke translated, Leng Zimo shook his head, ”I truly am sorry, sir, I... I’m afraid I cannot accept your offer, because I...”

”I’m afraid you must agree!” Leng Zirui lazily lifted his left hand, ”Head Chef!”

The two subordinates standing behind him immediately drew guns, aiming at Leng Zimo.
