After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2007: Chapter 2011: Sugarcoated Bullet

However, even she had forgotten, so the chef naturally wouldn’t know either.

Taking a bite, something felt off. Luo Xiaoqian looked up and saw Luo Ke watching her with concern.

”How is it, does it taste good?!”

After all the preparations, it seemed a bit excessive to push it away after just one bite.

Suppressing her discomfort, Luo Xiaoqian swallowed the soup in her mouth and returned his gaze with a smile.

”It’s delicious!”

”Then have some more,” Luo Ke said, smiling with satisfaction.

”Alright!” Luo Xiaoqian forced herself to agree, took a spoonful of wonton, and brought it to her mouth. The taste of cilantro hit her nose immediately. She chewed a bit and felt a wave of nausea hit her.

She gritted her teeth and forced herself to chew, but eventually couldn’t control it. She grabbed a napkin, covered her mouth, and swiftly turned to leave the dining room. The moment she got out the door, she couldn’t hold it any longer and vomited out the wonton and soup she had just eaten, with a loud retch.

A maid rushed over to help Luo Xiaoqian into the bathroom.

Luo Ke stood up, watching her vomiting at the dining room door, and only furrowed his brows in frustration.

”What’s going on?!” Just then, Leng Zirui came downstairs. Seeing Luo Xiaoqian being helped into the bathroom, he walked into the dining room in confusion, looking at the table full of Chinese breakfast dishes with curiosity too. ”Are you planning to open a Chinese restaurant?!”

”Get rid of that chef immediately. I never want to see him again!” Luo Ke angrily shouted at the butler.

”Yes, yes, I’ll send him away right away.” The butler hurried to comply.

Poor chef from the five-star restaurant who worked all night to prepare the breakfast, and it was all ruined by a tiny piece of cilantro like this.

Leng Zirui walked to the table, picked up a youtiao, and took a bite. His eyes glanced over at the half bowl of wonton in front of Luo Xiaoqian, and he raised an eyebrow slightly.

This Luo Ke really put a lot of effort into pursuing his sister-in-law!

Not to mention anything else, this level of pampering was almost comparable to his big brother’s.

Leng Zirui suddenly felt a bit worried for his brother.

You see, Luo Xiaoqian has lost her memory now, and under this kind of sugar-coated bullets from Luo Ke, will she fall for it?!

What if she really falls in love with Luo Ke?!

No way, he must find a way to help Leng Zimo rescue Luo Xiaoqian as soon as possible. But how to rescue her, given that Luo Ke’s guard is getting stronger and he’s moved Luo Xiaoqian to a bedroom upstairs, just one hall away from his own room, and according to the butler, there’s an independent security system on the third floor. Such a setup is even more extreme than what’s used to protect famous paintings in museums. The glass is bulletproof, and once the door’s security is activated, you can’t open it without the password, which only Luo Ke knows.

While Leng Zirui was biting a youtiao and pondering, Luo Xiaoqian had already come back from the bathroom, standing outside the door with a slightly pale face.

”Sorry, Luo Ke, I...”

Luo Ke saw her and immediately resumed smiling, ”It’s okay, why don’t you eat something else?”

”I...” Luo Xiaoqian shook her head, still feeling uneasy, ”I don’t feel like eating anything right now.”

”Then I’ll take you upstairs,” Luo Ke offered considerately.

”I can go up by myself, breakfast is important, finish yours before you come up,” Luo Xiaoqian quickly waved her hand, not having the appetite to eat any more and also wanting to check on that note.

Luo Ke only took Luo Xiaoqian’s refusal as a sign of her concern for him, feeling secretly pleased, ”Okay, then you head upstairs first, I’ll bring up some fruits and milk for you later.”
