I Am Your Natural Enemy

After waiting for a few seconds, a voice came from the phone.

”Hello, Ava? What’s up?”

”There’s a Goat-headed Demon who once followed me and later betrayed me, I don’t know how that fool did it, but he opened a gate to hell in the Nanyang Union, summoning many demons from inside.

This has nothing to do with me, he betrayed me long ago.”

”Oh, I see, so that guy was a double-crosser, we’ve always heard it was arranged by you.”

”You Star Lords know best, I’m trapped on the Dahlia, this really has nothing to do with me, I don’t want any misunderstanding to cause a rift in our friendship, please be sure to relay to your Star Lord, this truly has nothing to do with me.”

”Okay, I’ll inform our Star Lord.”

Valak thought and the more he thought about it, the angrier he got, he didn’t gain any benefits and was even taking the blame for a traitor.

In that case, he couldn’t be blamed.

”That guy is particularly afraid of light, he won’t appear during the day.

Unfortunately, his true name was stolen by him, I don’t remember it.”

After giving the instructions, Valak hung up the phone and finally felt at ease.

In truth, after meeting Wen Yan this time, he never wanted to come to the Divine Land again.

According to Wen Yan, his power in the Divine Land could only be considered junior, at most slightly outstanding among juniors.

And there are plenty of people in the Divine Land who can easily press him down with one hand.

When Wen Yan said this, he was very serious, Valak could tell it was the most sincere words.

Moreover, there’s a sect in the Divine Land that particularly despises demons, and there used to be an especially strong person among them who almost wiped out all the demons in Divine Land, killing for a full sixty years.

Plus the things Valak had heard before, he felt Wen Yan was right, this time he was only exiled because Wen Yan is gentle and reasonable.

If he encountered the radical faction against demons, he would definitely be worse than dead, as that faction considered killing a demon that hadn’t been killed before as the highest honor.

Wen Yan said it was like a jewel on the Church’s crown, and Valak immediately understood.

He was really lucky.

This burden must not be shouldered at any cost at this moment.

On the other side, the Water Ghost received the news and immediately reported it upwards.

Wen Yan’s phone couldn’t be reached, so they sent a message, as long as Wen Yan’s phone had some signal, he would receive the information.

At this moment, Wen Yan was still on the road with the River, he picked up his phone and glanced at it, there was a text message.

He looked at it, frowning slightly.

Calling for backup? Like you’re the only one who can do that?

Originally, strictly speaking, this matter was only the concern of the Nanyang Union, but as an outsider demon opening a gate to hell here, it was no longer just a matter of the Nanyang Union.

The message was directly pushed to him by the Scorching Sun Department’s App, which meant the Scorching Sun Department definitely knew about it by now.

At this moment, the River of Lost Souls had already entered a frenzied state, and nothing could stop them from seeking revenge against the culprit, including those newly appeared demons.

Wen Yan didn’t say anything, because devils and demons are not the same, devils like Gauss have no souls, their forms are not fixed, and at the Demon King level, they are almost embodiments of certain infernal concepts, immortal.

Conversely, demons have souls and their forms are mostly fixed.

At the very least, the large number of demons could not be exceptions.

As the River drew near, Wen Yan could see from afar a mass of black smoke drifting in the distance, those evil auras converged into clouds.

When the two sides met, they collided, Yin Qi and resentment continuously clashed with the demonic and foul air, pulling on each other.

The River’s charging speed slowed slightly, and one could see innumerable Lost Souls fighting with countless grotesque creatures.

Large numbers of beasts kept falling, yet there were continuously more beasts emerging from the ever-growing rift in the distance.

In that black smoke, a Goat-headed humanoid monster with claws and beast-like feet was particularly conspicuous.

Just like a game Wen Yan once played, with a bunch of average-sized fodder on the ground endlessly charging forward, and a boss seven or eight meters tall standing behind, commanding the fodder to their deaths, using them to consume the opponent’s power.

However, playing a human wave tactic with the River of Lost Souls at this moment, don’t you think that’s a bit brainless?

While the individual power of these Lost Souls was weak, they would not completely dissipate in the River.

Wen Yan thought about it, the only possible explanation he could think of was that this guy wasn’t intending to win in the first place.

Either he thought that by opening the gate to hell now, he already achieved his purpose.

Or he was simply buying time to delay the steps of the River of Lost Souls.

Wen Yan gazed at the distant Goat-headed Demon, fixating on the majestic, slightly aesthetic giant horns spreading to both sides atop its head.

”Goat-headed Demon.”

”Once under Valak’s command, decades ago, he betrayed Valak, stealing his own true name from Valak’s hands and then vanished.

Later, through arrangements by certain people and forces, he was inserted into the Nanyang Union.

There, he established his own sect and descended his true body into the present world.

Now he was no longer bound by any contract, aiming to establish an eternal portal.

He intended to establish his own soul pasture here.”

”Those horns possess a savage yet artistic beauty, certainly making for a wonderful gift.
