Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 928: Chapter 453: A Night of Budding Romance (Second Update)

Ruby Sheldon actually hasn’t experienced a proper romantic relationship yet.

Firstly, her parents are very strict, secondly, her standards are extremely high.

She has liked a few men, but before reaching the level of a romantic relationship, she grew bored.

Now discovering Kenneth Osborne is so attentive to her, her previously untouched heart suddenly felt excited...

She slowed her pace, thinking that perhaps she should have a serious relationship this time.

Aiden Sheldon also noticed Kenneth Osborne, his brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

Then he saw Ruby Sheldon suddenly start running again, heading towards Kenneth Osborne’s car.

The night was deep, and this road was practically the Stetford family’s private road, so there was no problem running wild at night.

Thus, Aiden Sheldon didn’t stop Ruby Sheldon and slowly walked over.

Ruby Sheldon ran over from behind, bent down, put her hands on her knees, lightly panting and sticking out her tongue, blushing as she said, ”Kenneth Osborne, what are you doing here?”

Kenneth Osborne was so focused on looking at the big iron gate of the Stetford family that he really didn’t expect anyone to be outside.

He was almost startled by Ruby Sheldon’s voice.

But he remained very calm on the surface, raised his eyes to look at her with a slight surprise, cautiously saying, ”Miss Sheldon, good evening, I’m waiting for someone.”

”Waiting for someone? Who are you waiting for? Are you waiting for me? I just went for a night run and just came back. Do you want to come to my house?” Ruby Sheldon naturally invited him, without considering any other possibility.

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

Respecting Aiden Sheldon, he kept his distance from Ruby Sheldon.

Moreover, he was not the type to intentionally say hurtful things to provoke others.

So although he felt awkward and uncomfortable, he still politely said, ”I’m waiting for a friend. She’ll be out soon, so I won’t go in. It’s late, Miss Sheldon, please go home.”

Ruby Sheldon didn’t expect Kenneth Osborne to actually not come looking for her, her expression instantly changed.

It was the first time she had been so excited only to be disappointed.

Her expression froze as she straightened up and said, ”Not looking for me, is he looking for Spring Spencer? She’s several years older than me!”

Kenneth Osborne still shook his head and patiently said, ”No, you should head back. My friend will come out soon.”

”I don’t believe you; if you don’t tell me who it is, I won’t leave.” She stood by Kenneth Osborne’s car window, stubbornly hands on her hips.

Kenneth Osborne tugged at the corner of his lips, just about to say something harsh when Aiden Sheldon called out, ”Betty, what are you doing? Aren’t you going home?”

Ruby Sheldon turned around and stomped her feet at Aiden Sheldon, playfully saying, ”Dad! I’m asking Mr. Osborne who he’s waiting for! He won’t say, it’s driving me crazy!”

Aiden Sheldon slowly walked over, frowning as he said, ”It doesn’t matter whom he’s waiting for. Let’s go, head home first, I need to talk to him.”

Ruby Sheldon’s eyes lit up, thinking that her dad indeed doted on her, he was going to help her...

She moved next to Aiden Sheldon, her face getting redder, whispering in his ear, ”Dad, don’t be too harsh on him. I... I... I quite like him...”

”But you said he’s divorced.” Aiden Sheldon glanced at her.

”So what if he’s divorced? He’s not a woman. A divorced woman is looked down upon, but a divorced man only becomes more attractive.” Ruby Sheldon blinked her eyes and said.

Aiden Sheldon was speechless, ”Who told you that? Why would a divorced woman be looked down upon? And what’s attractive about a divorced man? Betty, you need to reconsider it.”

”Got it, I was just joking.” Ruby Sheldon stuck her tongue out at Aiden Sheldon, suggesting, ”Dad, don’t talk outside, invite Mr. Osborne inside.”

Kenneth Osborne saw Aiden Sheldon and climbed out of the car.

It would be impolite to talk to such a big shot from inside the car.

Of course, whether it’s polite to talk from inside the car to Ruby Sheldon was something Kenneth Osborne didn’t even consider.

Ruby Sheldon turned to see him standing behind her, got startled but felt affectionate inside.

Although Kenneth Osborne said he was not waiting for her but for a friend, Ruby Sheldon was convinced she caught him embarrassed.

She flashed him a sweet smile, waved teasingly, and said, ”You said you weren’t waiting for me! You’re forgiven! I’ll go back first; you must come!”

Saying this, she felt a bit embarrassed and ran towards the big iron gate.

She vaguely thought that at twenty-one, her love finally arrived on this intoxicating spring evening...

Even though it wasn’t spring, but midsummer, when Miss Sheldon wanted to wax lyrical, the changing seasons had to give way.
