Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 923: Chapter 451: The Big Shot Is Still the Big Shot (Third Update)

Lawrence Winters expressed puzzlement upon hearing this: ”...Could everyone in previous years figure out the details of the case?”

”Hehe, after all, we’re all from the same sect, no need to be that strict, right?” Daoist Wang chuckled sneakily, ”It’s not like it’s the college entrance exam...right?”

Lawrence: ”...”

”Once every four years, shouldn’t it be stricter than the college entrance exam? The college entrance exam is held once a year...”

Daoist Wang restrained his laughter, ”Alright, you’re right. But this year is indeed especially strict.”

That means no one knows the specifics of the questions (cases).

When Lawrence looked at records from previous years, the feeling wasn’t this strong.

Now truly immersed in the situation, there’s a real sense of empathy.

As the competition ended, everyone having worked hard all day began to leave one by one.

The front of the Grand Theater was occupied earlier because someone needed to be sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Now that the ambulance has taken the person away, everyone can leave smoothly.

Lawrence looked back at the circular platform and found Quentin Parker sitting on the side.

He remained silent throughout, maybe he was watching the spectacle, or perhaps uninterested and daydreaming.

Still the same indifferent and cool demeanor.

But when Lawrence looked over, he nodded at her, indicating he remembered the matter they had to discuss.

Lawrence was pleased, hurriedly gestured to him to signal contact via phone.

Quentin still nodded, got up, and left surrounded by a crowd along with Evan Stetford.

The circular platform was chaotic, and after Quentin left, the ten judges also gradually descended.

Mr. Gilbert didn’t keep his eyes on Lawrence since they were being watched by everyone from the platform and he couldn’t behave too excessively.

Considering his age and status, it would devalue him to keep staring at a young novice, wouldn’t it?

So he only glanced at Lawrence at the last moment when everyone was leaving, and Lawrence was taking off her sash to put back into her small bag, not noticing her interaction with Quentin.

Of course, he also dared not look towards Quentin’s side.

Kenneth Osborne had been eyeing Lawrence from the second-floor box, watching her ”exchange glances” with Quentin, couldn’t help but frowned, and quickly followed.

He caught up with Lawrence at the theater entrance, initially wanting to ask where she was going, but she immediately said: ”Kenneth, glad you’re here, I was about to message you. I’ve found a particularly good lawyer to discuss your copyright lawsuit, want to join?”

Kenneth: ”...”

He didn’t expect Lawrence to still be concerned about his situation, a heart already sinking to the bottom suddenly had hopes of rising again.

But Lawrence’s next sentence pushed his heart back down.

Because Lawrence said: ”I heard they’re considering listing NewHuman Corporation as a defendant, and I’m one of the producers named! Humph! Trying to squeeze money from me, let’s see how bold they are!”

Turns out it was still about her own money.

Kenneth found it amusing again; he knew her money-obsessed nature, so why did he have such unrealistic expectations?

He thought mockingly to himself, yet couldn’t help but nod while saying, ”Okay, I’ll go with you.”

And he comforted her: ”You’ll be fine, and they won’t really sue NewHuman Corporation.”

”Haha, can you really guarantee that? One must maintain vigilance in all matters.” Lawrence waved her hand, leaving the Grand Theater alongside him.

Caitlin Gilbert returned to the box looking for Kenneth, but couldn’t find him as he was gone.

She called him, sent messages and texts, but none got replies.

She was somewhat worried, but Kenneth was also an adult and just a friend, not someone she needed to report everything to.

Mr. Gilbert saw her anxiety, helped her ask the theater staff if they had seen where Kenneth went.

Kenneth is too handsome, and once Caitlin described him, these people remembered and said he left with today’s preliminary contest winner, Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence is also very beautiful and stood out in today’s preliminary contest.

With the two of them together, it naturally drew attention.

Caitlin almost burst into tears upon realizing her worst fear had come true.

Olivia Gilbert sighed, and she and Mr. Gilbert comforted her, promising to take her to her favorite Michelin three-star restaurant for dinner.

She held back her emotions, put on a happy front, and went out for a feast, arms linked with her father and sister.
