Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 906: Chapter 445: Who Are You? (First Update)_2

Evan Stetford had a slight smile on his face but remained silent.

Richard Stetford simply had his eyes closed, as if oblivious to what was happening.

The ten judges continued to observe as bystanders, since the preliminary competition didn’t require them to judge; they were only there to familiarize themselves with the proceedings.

Quentin Parker adopted an expression of stark indifference, as if nothing in the world was worth his attention.

His gaze seemed like a thousand feet of cold ice, chilling anyone who dared meet it.

The host dared not look in his direction, ultimately turning his view towards Olivia Gilbert beside Evan Stetford.

Olivia Gilbert frowned slightly.

The previous two titles were won by her father, Mr. Gilbert, and these people seemed to be provoking him...

In contrast, Caitlin Gilbert was much more anxious.

She angrily raised her fist and said agitatedly, ”That woman is such a troublemaker! Apparently, the lesson we taught her wasn’t enough!”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”

He watched Caitlin Gilbert without giving anything away and calmly asked, ”...Which woman? The one who just led the challenge?”

”Yes, that’s her, Lawrence Winters. She clings to the Stetford Family and dares to provoke my father... Hmph, she’ll have no idea how she ends!”

Kenneth’s pupils contracted sharply, but he soon regained his composure and smiled, ”You’re really joking.”

”I’m not joking,” Caitlin raised an eyebrow, saying seriously, ”...Do you think that a previous homicide case involving her was a coincidence?”

Kenneth felt a pang in his heart, ”A homicide case? She would get involved in a homicide case? I don’t believe it.”

In reality, he knew about it; otherwise, he wouldn’t have dropped everything to come here.

Caitlin originally wanted to say something, but in the end, she swallowed her words and said, ”Anyway, it has nothing to do with us.”

She glanced outside the box and suddenly exclaimed in delight, ”Ha! Look at you! Look, she’s going to be kicked out!”

Kenneth took a glance and immediately grew more tense.

Indeed, several burly men in black uniforms parted the crowd and grabbed Lawrence’s wrist, intending to kick her out.

Without hesitation, Lawrence flipped her wrist, countering with an over-the-shoulder throw, slamming the first man who touched her onto the ground.

With a thud, the entire floor of the grand theater shook a few times.

The noisy hall suddenly fell silent, and everyone’s attention turned to Lawrence Winters.

Kenneth closed his eyes for a moment, then turned away, pushing the door open, intending to go to her side.

However, he was stopped at the stairs, ”Mr. Osborne, only participants can go downstairs. You can’t go down.”

”But how did they go down?” Kenneth pointed at those men in black uniforms.

”They’re staff. Are you staff?” The person guarding the stairs was also in black uniform, clearly a staff member too.

Kenneth had no choice. At this time, Caitlin came out as well, saying, ”Mr. Osborne, why are you out? Planning to join the fun downstairs?”

Kenneth tugged at the corner of his mouth, ”Yes, I want to get a closer look.”

”That’s not allowed. People from the second floor can’t go down. It’s the iron rule. Because when the competition starts, ordinary people might get hurt.”

Caitlin said, pulling him back.

Kenneth glanced downstairs again, noticing that three more people charged towards Lawrence.

Lawrence, however, remained calm, first delivering a kick. The second person charging was already sent sprawling to the ground.

The third person managed to grab her arm, but Lawrence formed her other hand into a knife-hand strike, aiming directly at the person’s eye.

The man, startled, reflexively released her arm. Lawrence’s knife-hand missed the eye but quickly turned into a fist, landing a heavy punch on the man’s nose. At the same time, with a hook of her foot, the man lost his balance and fell hard on his backside.

The man felt simultaneous intense pain in his tailbone and nose, causing snot and tears to flow uncontrollably.

The fourth person lunged at her from behind, intending to grab her and drag her away.

After decked the third person, Lawrence seized the opportunity from her foot hook to sidestep, letting the fourth person miss her completely.

In a swift motion, Lawrence executed a light turn, moving behind him and delivering a kick to the back of his knee.

The man immediately fell flat on his face, his chin hitting the ground, his teeth clamping down on his upper lip, causing his mouth to bleed. Lying on the ground, he couldn’t get up for a long time.

In the blink of an eye, Lawrence was surrounded by a circle of security personnel in black uniforms lying on the ground.
