Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 870: Chapter 433: Can I Be Shaken? (Second Update, Monthly Ticket 300+)

Autumn Stetford saw Ruby Sheldon’s WeChat message, and her hand trembled, almost dropping the phone.

She hastily gripped the phone tight, left the window, and walked to the door while replying: There’s no need. Whether Lawrence Winters’ mom has an ex-husband or not is none of our business. If you want to stir up trouble, I’ll send you to the southern hemisphere for a retreat.

Ruby Sheldon was startled and quickly replied: Got it, Ma. I was just saying, I won’t go investigating this matter.

Autumn saw this and was both angry and amused.

She wanted to investigate?

How would she investigate?

Every penny she has is from Aiden Sheldon and Autumn Stetford, and she wants to bypass them to investigate others?

Autumn suppressed the uneasiness in her heart and replied: Okay, good girl. The most important thing now is your grandpa and uncle. They have a very good impression of Lawrence Winters, and Lawrence will be participating in the Celestial Path Sect World Cup Major Tournament.

This news shifted Ruby’s focus, and she was even angrier.

For a moment, she didn’t need to WeChat message, so she simply called Autumn.

”Mom, what’s going on here? We just went out for half a day, and so much happened? Who invited her to our home?”

Autumn replied with a smile while walking down the spiral staircase: ”It was your uncle, remember? Come back quickly, you’ll still make it for dinner.”

”Is Lawrence Winters still there?” Ruby pouted, ”If she’s there, I won’t have dinner!”

”Why punish yourself because of someone else?” Autumn laughed, walking through the living room, turning the corridor, heading towards the backyard terrace, ”We’re chatting on the terrace, your dad, grandpa, and uncle are all here.”

Ruby hung up the phone and saw the Stetford Family mansion already in sight.

She urged the driver to drive faster.

Finally reaching the steps of the mansion, she was the first to open the car door and get off.

She knew where the backyard sea-view terrace was.

Ava Harlow and Spring Spencer weren’t as fast as Ruby.

The mother and daughter carried bags of all sizes back to their rooms first to settle them.

Ruby ran across the living room straight to the backyard terrace.

Sure enough, she saw Lawrence Winters sitting cross-legged beside the small rosewood table, making kungfu tea for Richard Stetford.

This was usually Ruby’s task!

She clenched her fists and stomped over, pointing out Lawrence’s actions: ”Raise your wrist a little, keep your elbow level, otherwise your sleeve will soak into the tea.”

Lawrence didn’t look at her, continuing in her own motion and rhythm, serving small cups of kungfu tea to Richard Stetford, Aiden Sheldon, Autumn Stetford, and Evan Stetford.

Ruby, frustrated: ”Your movements aren’t standard, didn’t any professional tea art facilitators teach you?”

Lawrence finally lifted her eyelids, glanced at her sideways, and said: ”My technique just now is called Five-Star Point Champion, the toughest set of motions in kungfu tea, emphasizing seamless fluidity and precision. Miss Sheldon, the movements you asked me to do earlier—do they have any special meaning?”

Ruby was stunned, ”Five-Star Point Champion? Isn’t that technique lost? Where did you learn it?”

Lawrence stood up beside the table and returned to the sofa, smiling: ”I learned from the Celestial Path Sect’s texts. Miss Sheldon, don’t you read books?”

Ruby had professional tea art instructors; if they didn’t know, of course, she wouldn’t know.

She was unwilling and said: ”You don’t even have any tea art instructors, how can you be sure your technique is right or wrong?”

”Miss Sheldon, if that’s what you mean, then where did your tea art instructors learn their methods?” Lawrence retorted calmly to Ruby.

Ruby sat between Aiden Sheldon and Autumn Stetford, her spirits lifted, and she confidently said: ”Of course, from their tea art instructors!”

”And where did those instructors’ instructors learn from?” Lawrence began her nesting doll questioning.

Ruby was ensnared in circles, her brain almost not keeping up, staring blankly, saying: ”In the end, from their instructors!”

Evan Stetford chuckled, saying: ”Are you two discussing which came first, the chicken or the egg?”

”Definitely not, we’re discussing the feasibility of ’Teachers open the door, but you enter by yourself.’” Lawrence smiled, ”While Miss Sheldon seems to believe humans can learn solely from books, and even on their own invention.”

Ruby, of course, isn’t as good as the well-informed Lawrence, the academic ’nerd.’

Whenever Lawrence brought up learning matters, Ruby didn’t want to listen.
