Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1642: Chapter 1643: Comfortable, Isn’t It?

”Did you catch a cold?” Xiao Changyi asked with a worried expression upon hearing An Jing sneeze, and he even wanted someone to call the Imperial Physician.

An Jing immediately stopped him with a smile: ”It’s just a sneeze, don’t make a fuss. I’m perfectly fine, I promise I’ll be full of energy when we get married.”

”Not just when we get married, but now, and in the future, your health must always be good.” If her health is good, she would be well. Xiao Changyi has always thought this way.

This is why Xiao Changyi always pays special attention to An Jing’s health.

”With you taking care of me, how could my health be bad? Alright, stop overthinking it, I’m really fine.” An Jing genuinely didn’t mind about just one sneeze.

Xiao Changyi touched An Jing’s forehead and, seeing that her temperature was normal, he stopped worrying about An Jing’s sneezing.

...

On March 14, nominally the ceremony to crown the Empress, it was actually Xiao Changyi and An Jing getting married once again.

On this day, An Jing sat in a grand sedan chair with thirty-six bearers.

Because An Jing had also done many good deeds for the people, everyone in Xiyun blessed An Jing and Xiao Changyi.

On this day, Xiyun was filled with joy and celebration.

The ceremonies included bowing to Heaven and Earth, worshiping the ancestors of the imperial family, and then accepting the kneeling salutations of the civil and military officials. The rituals were exceedingly numerous, and An Jing, not wanting to cause any offense, carried herself with the demeanor befitting an empress.

But the rituals were truly excessive, and combined with the heavy headdress, by evening, An Jing was nearly exhausted, and as soon as she entered the bridal chamber with Xiao Changyi, she collapsed onto the bridal bed.

”Mother, mother,” ignoring any etiquette, Jing Xingqing and Yun crawled onto the bed, speaking excitedly to An Jing, ”You looked really beautiful today, and so imposing, especially when you stood up there with father and were bowed to, you looked really imposing.”

An Jing didn’t mind her four children behaving like this, she simply stroked the little heads that had gathered in front of her, ”Mother also thinks mother looked quite good today, the clothes were nice too, but it was just too tiring, the Royal Family has too many formalities.”

”Then mother, let us massage your legs.” An Yiyun suggested considerately.

An Jing immediately agreed happily: ”Yes, mother’s legs are really sore.”

Jing Xingqing and Yun immediately sat up and began to massage An Jing’s legs, making her feel thoroughly comfortable.

As soon as Xiao Changyi entered, he saw Jing Xingqing and Yun in the bridal bed, massaging An Jing’s legs, while An Jing sighed contently with comfort.

He did not mind at all, and even allowed a slight smile to appear.

”Husband, you’re back.” Upon seeing Xiao Changyi, An Jing, without sitting up, cheerfully waved him over, ”Come here quickly and lie down too.”

Xiao Changyi indeed walked to the bed, and being pulled by An Jing, lay down.

Jing Xingqing and Yun immediately separated into pairs, with Jing Xing massaging Xiao Changyi’s legs and Yun massaging An Jing’s legs.

”Does it feel good?” An Jing, lying there with her head turned, asked Xiao Changyi.

Xiao Changyi nodded: ”Hmm.”

”I never thought we would enjoy our sons’ care so soon.” An Jing sighed happily.

Xiao Changyi’s mouth curled into a smile.

Hearing An Jing say this, Jing Xingqing and Yun massaged their father and mother’s legs with even more enthusiasm, not feeling tired at all.

Getting married again was like having another wedding night, so Tobanya and Meng Zhuqing took Jing Xingqing and Yun out of the bridal chamber early.

Leaving only An Jing and Xiao Changyi in the bridal chamber.
