Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1625: Chapter 1626: Poking

Xiao Changyi gently squeezed An Jing’s hand and said, ”The kids were very worried about you. They insisted on staying by your side, but they were very well-behaved and didn’t speak, just to avoid disturbing you.”

Now that it’s late at night and the kids haven’t slept yet, but are staying by her side, An Jing couldn’t feel more comforted.

With a reassuring smile, An Jing said to Jing Xingqingyun, ”Mommy’s really fine, you don’t need to worry.”

”Mm-hmm.” The four children nodded. Since An Jing had woken up, they were not as worried anymore, and smiles appeared on their little faces.

An Yiqing, being a bit mischievous and quick to recover from worry, chuckled to An Jing, ”Mommy, there are no sisters, only brothers. Three brothers, but they are all so cute! And they’re so tiny, their hands, feet, eyes, mouths, noses, ears, everything is tiny. Anyway, they’re so tiny. Daddy hasn’t let us hold them yet; he said we can hold them in a few days.”

Hearing about the newborn triplets, Xiao Changyi finally let go of An Jing’s hand, stood up, and carefully moved the cradle a bit closer to the bed so that An Jing could see the three little guys more clearly.

An Jing looked at the three little ones in the cradle closely, her eyes full of affection. After a moment, she smiled and said, ”They don’t look like me, they look a bit like your dad.”

An Yiyun said, ”Even though they don’t look much like Mommy or Daddy, the brothers are really beautiful, especially the seventh brother. He’s so pretty, even our godmother said he’s particularly good-looking.”

An Yiqing said, ”They are brothers, they’re boys, so you can’t say they’re beautiful, Fourth Brother. You should say Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother, and Seventh Brother are cute.”

”But they really are beautiful.” An Yiyun was unwilling to change his words. ”They’re much more handsome than Miao Miao. Miao Miao is so well-behaved. I really hope the three brothers are that well-behaved too.”

An Yiqing immediately argued, ”What’s fun about being well-behaved? You have to be as naughty as me to be interesting!”

An Jing and Xiao Changyi couldn’t help but be amused.

An Yiyun didn’t want to argue with An Yiqing, the third brother, but instead looked at Xiao Changyi with bright eyes, full of anticipation: ”Daddy, can Yun Er poke the brothers’ faces? Just a poke, okay? Yun Er promises to be gentle and not to hurt them.”

Xiao Changyi said, ”No more poking today. Even gently is not allowed.” His fourth son had already poked them many times during the day. He really didn’t understand why his fourth son loved poking his fifth, sixth, and seventh sons’ faces so much.

An Yiyun was very disappointed, but obediently refrained from poking them again.

Hearing Xiao Changyi’s words, An Jing could guess that An Yiyun must have poked them many times, which is why her husband said so.

Being as it was, An Jing naturally wouldn’t help An Yiyun and let him poke their faces.

At this moment, Tobanya came in with a bowl of egg noodles.

Xiao Changyi took the egg noodles, first fed An Jing some soup, and then slowly fed her the noodles.

An Jing can’t get up at all now, and even if she could, Xiao Changyi wouldn’t let her.

Jing Xingqingyun stayed a while longer before Tobanya and Meng Zhuqing took them back to the room to sleep.

After feeding An Jing the noodles, Xiao Changyi asked someone to take away the bowl and chopsticks. Only then did the room have just An Jing and Xiao Changyi... well, along with the three little babies in the cradle.

Tilting her head, looking at the three little ones in the cradle, An Jing softly chuckled and said, ”Originally, I thought we might have a daughter, but it’s okay. They’re all our children, and we’ll treat them all the same.”

”Mm.”
