Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1618: Chapter 1619: Stepping On...

”Yay!” An Yiqing was extremely excited. ”When they come out, I want to give them a bath, and dress them in the cute little clothes that godmother made for them. They’re all so adorable, and there are especially tiny shoes too. I really want to dress them.”

Su Yixing said, ”Mom, dad said he’s prepared a lot of firecrackers, and when my little brother and sister come out of your belly, they’ll be set off for a long time. I’ll help set them off too.”

An Jing said, ”There will be people setting off those firecrackers. Don’t go near them; it wouldn’t be good if you get hurt.”

Su Yixing immediately replied, ”I’m already an adult; I won’t get hurt!”

An Jing couldn’t help but laugh. Her children were more than seven years old and, under her husband’s guidance, always felt they had grown up a long time ago, haha.

An Yiyun said, ”I’m not going to the door to set off firecrackers. I want to see how my little brother and sister come out from mom’s belly.”

An Jing patted his little head, ”When mom gives birth, only the midwife and your dad can watch, Yun Er. You must be obedient and only look at your little brother and sister when your dad says you can. Do you understand?”

An Yiyun nodded his little head obediently, ”I understand!”

Seeing her youngest son being so well-behaved, An Jing was very pleased.

Seeing her eldest son not saying a word, only occasionally touching her belly, and every time he felt fetal movements, he would shrink his small hand back in surprise. Though startled each time, the corners of his little mouth still turned up slightly... An Jing’s smile grew broader.

Unconsciously, An Jing also asked, ”Jing’er, do you want your little brother and sister to come out of mommy’s belly soon?”

Su Yi Jing kept playing with her belly without looking at her face, just nodded a little and said one word, ”Yes.”

The other three children hadn’t lost interest in An Jing’s belly either and continued to gently touch and feel it with their little hands.

Anyway, the whole room was filled with laughter and joy.

Xiao Changyi was just about to unbelt and take off his clothes for a bath, but his sharp ears caught the children’s laughter, making him feel something was wrong, so he quickly took big strides out of the bathroom.

When he reached the doorway of his and his wife’s room, he saw the four children touching her belly, talking and laughing.

This made him immediately more worried, and he took even bigger strides into the room.

”Ah! Dad’s back!” An Yiqing was the first to spot Xiao Changyi and was startled. ”Quick, hide, or dad will spank us!” With that, An Yiqing took off his shoes and climbed onto the bed, over An Jing, hiding behind her, seeking her protection.

The other children hurriedly followed An Yiqing, took off their shoes, climbed over An Jing, and hid behind her.

All four children looked like they were afraid that Xiao Changyi would spank them.

But when had Xiao Changyi ever actually spanked them? Xiao Changyi never spanked the children.

An Jing felt amused and exasperated.

Xiao Changyi was startled by the four children. Initially, he was just worried that the children might handle An Jing’s belly carelessly, but now...

Seeing Xiao Changyi’s face darken, the four children became even more frightened, hiding behind An Jing and further pulling the quilt over themselves, leaving only their little eyes visible, fearfully looking at Xiao Changyi.

”Who told you to get on the bed? What if you step on your mom’s belly?”

Xiao Changyi walked over, first helping An Jing sit up and lean safely to the side. Only after ensuring An Jing was in a safe area did he lift the quilt and sternly scold the four children hiding underneath.
