Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1621: Chapter 1622: Thanks to His Wife

The children were raised by her and her husband personally, even if in the future they might not always be around, the kids would still be especially close to them.

An Jing was raised by her grandparents, and compared to her parents, she’s closer to her grandparents.

Having experienced this herself, if she could raise her children personally, An Jing would want to do it together with her husband.

At this moment, Xiao Changyi, just like An Jing, was also thinking about personally raising their children.

He only heard Xiao Changyi say, ”You’re right.” Back then, he always wanted to give the four children to the old man to take care of, but his wife insisted on raising them herself, not wanting to upset her, he ended up raising the children with her.

Now the kids are so close to him, thanks to his wife.

Understanding the meaning behind Xiao Changyi’s words, An Jing immediately asked, ”When the three babies in my belly are born, will you still want to raise them with me?”

Xiao Changyi didn’t just want to make An Jing happy, so he spoke the truth: ”If I’m not on a campaign, I’ll raise them with you.” He paused, ”If I am on a campaign, we’ll raise them together when I return.”

The first part, An Jing didn’t feel much, but the latter part of Xiao Changyi’s words, An Jing felt sweetness in her heart.

We...

How wonderful, we. Not you, not I, but we.

”Mm.” An Jing nodded towards Xiao Changyi sweetly, very satisfied with his response.

After a while, An Jing suddenly said, ”Husband, I’m kind of thinking of having our three babies tomorrow.”

”Why must it be tomorrow?” Xiao Changyi didn’t quite understand.

”Aren’t the kids not going to the palace for school tomorrow? I was thinking of having them then, so they can see their new siblings right away.” An Jing said with a smile, ”Star even said you had lots of firecrackers prepared, he wants to set them off, but he’s still too young, to avoid him getting hurt, when I give birth, you must make sure to have someone watch him so he doesn’t go near the firecrackers.”

”Okay.”

”I also hope that at least one of the three babies in my belly is a girl. It’s not that sons aren’t good, I’d be happy if they’re all sons, it’s just that I want a daughter. Isn’t that what people call having both sons and daughters?”

Regarding the gender of the three children in An Jing’s belly, Xiao Changyi couldn’t be sure, he could only say, ”Let nature take its course.”

”Mm-hmm.” Even though An Jing really wanted a daughter, she wasn’t so stubborn about it that she would force it.

...

The next day, while An Jing, Xiao Changyi, and their four kids were having breakfast, Gong Juechen helped the heavily pregnant Ye Zhi, who was also quite far along, in.

Ye Zhi was already six months pregnant, and under Gong Juechen’s care, her skin had become even fairer and softer, and she appeared more vibrant than before.

Seeing An Jing and the others having breakfast, Gong Juechen smiled and said, ”Perfect timing, Zhizhi and I came here to crash your breakfast.”

The biggest taboo during pregnancy is for the expectant mother to do nothing all day and just wait for the birth; the pregnant woman should walk and move about appropriately. So, even though Ye Zhi was often lazy and didn’t want to move due to pregnancy, Gong Juechen insisted that Ye Zhi should walk.

For the sake of the child in her belly, Ye Zhi listened to Gong Juechen and walked occasionally.

This morning, the two of them got up a bit early, and Gong Juechen suggested they walk to An Jing’s to have breakfast, Ye Zhi didn’t mind, so the two of them came over to crash breakfast.
