Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1610: Chapter 1611: Do As You Wish

The four children, upon hearing An Jing’s words and fearing she might really get angry, hurriedly replied, ”No, we wanted to show it to mom because we want her to be as happy as we are. Aunt Yao made us clothes again, and we want mom to be as happy as we are!”

An Jing was initially joking with the children when she asked, and hearing that the kids wanted her to be happy too, she naturally stopped joking to avoid making the children anxious. Instead, she helped wipe their sweat and asked, ”You got the clothes, did you thank your Aunt Yao?”

”We did! We thanked Aunt Yao. Aunt Yao said we were so well-behaved, and she will make more for us next time!”

An Jing couldn’t help but laugh, ”You accepted them so openly? Didn’t you say to your Aunt Yao that it was hard work?”

An Yiyun said, ”We did say that. Aunt Yao said it wasn’t hard work and said as long as we’re willing to wear the clothes she makes, she will keep making them for us. She said seeing us happy makes her happy.”

Upon hearing this, An Jing and Xiao Changyi exchanged glances. Although neither spoke, there was mutual understanding.

Ever since Tuoba Yao married Meng Zhuqing, Tuoba Yao has been extraordinarily good to their children.

Meng Zhuqing is even better to their children.

The four children are particularly close to Meng Zhuqing. In the minds of the four children, Meng Zhuqing’s status is just below that of An Jing and Xiao Changyi, and even higher than Su Chengyu and Ning Wenxian.

Back then, if An Jing and Xiao Changyi were too busy to look after the four children, Meng Zhuqing was the one who helped care for them. It’s fair to say Meng Zhuqing also helped raise them, so it’s no surprise that the children are so close to Meng Zhuqing.

”Dear...” An Jing suddenly spoke up.

But before An Jing could finish speaking, Xiao Changyi understood and said, ”Do as you wish.”

An Jing’s smile grew even wider.

This idea had been in her mind for a long time, she just hadn’t taken action because she feared it might hurt Tuoba Yao. But now Tuoba Yao seemed to have accepted a lot about her own infertility, and An Jing felt doing this now wouldn’t lead Tuoba Yao to misunderstand.

With that thought, An Jing turned and joyfully asked the four children, ”Jing’er, Star, Qinger, Yun Er, Uncle Zhuqing and Aunt Yao are so good to you. Would you be willing to recognize them as your adoptive parents and honor them?”

The four children nodded without any hesitation, ”Yes!”

”Alright, then tonight, mommy will take you to them, and you can tell them you want to recognize them as your adoptive parents, sound good?”

”Okay.”

An Jing couldn’t help but smile again and exchange a glance with her husband. Though the children were young, they could still see who treats them well, so naturally, they agreed happily.

At night, when it wasn’t as hot as the daytime, after An Jing and Xiao Changyi finished dinner, they didn’t rush to bathe or sleep but took the children to the courtyard where Meng Zhuqing and Tuoba Yao lived.

They rarely visited the courtyard where Tuoba Yao and Meng Zhuqing lived, as usually, Meng Zhuqing and Tuoba Yao came to the main courtyard where they lived.

Originally, Tuoba Yao was supposed to follow An Jing and protect her, but now they were in the King of Xiyun’s mansion where security was extremely tight, and with Xiao Changyi at An Jing’s side, she didn’t need Yao’s protection. So, An Jing gave her time off to stay in her courtyard.

Tuoba Yao and Meng Zhuqing had just finished dinner too. Seeing An Jing and Xiao Changyi bring the four children over, they were quite surprised and hurriedly greeted An Jing and Xiao Changyi.

Before An Jing and Xiao Changyi could respond, the four children considerately went to help them up.
