Chapter 1574: Chapter 1575: Will You Die Happy or Die Worried?

Gong Jue Chen withdrew his hand that had been checking An Jing’s pulse, first looking at the puzzled face of An Jing, then at An Jing’s wrist that was draped with a handkerchief, muttering, ”This shouldn’t be possible, did I diagnose incorrectly?” At the same time, his hand went back onto An Jing’s wrist to check her pulse again.

Everyone’s attention was now focused on Gong Jue Chen, waiting for him to announce the diagnosis.

This time, Gong Jue Chen took a bit longer to check An Jing’s pulse.

After Gong Jue Chen had sorted it out and was certain it was indeed so, he withdrew his hand, looking mournfully at Xiao Changyi, ”Changyi, if I tell you your wife is pregnant with multiple children again, will you be thrilled to death or worried to death?”

Xiao Changyi: ”...”

The others were initially startled, then let out a big sigh of relief. Ye Zhi even scolded Gong Jue Chen, ”Isn’t it a good thing to be pregnant with multiples again? Look at what you did, nearly scared us to death, I almost thought my boss had some weird illness!”

Gong Jue Chen immediately smiled apologetically at Ye Zhi, ”I’m just too surprised. I had joked before that Jingjing might be pregnant with multiples again, didn’t expect it to come true.”

An Jing was initially overjoyed, but then somewhat skeptical, ”Gong Jue Chen, I believe you when you say I’m pregnant, but when you say it’s multiples... is your medical skill advanced enough to diagnose multiples now?”

Her period had been delayed for quite a few days, and she’s in good health, making pregnancy likely. If Gong Jue Chen diagnosed her as pregnant, she wouldn’t be surprised, but claiming it’s multiples made her truly skeptical.

To know, her last period was December 18th last year, ended on December 25th last year. Today is February 6th, which spans forty days, even if she got pregnant the day her period ended, she’s only been pregnant for forty-one days. And Gong Jue Chen’s medical skills, no matter how brilliant, shouldn’t be more advanced than modern medical devices. In her view, Gong Jue Chen should not be able to diagnose multiples by pulse checking now.

”Logically, if you’re not far along, I shouldn’t be able to diagnose multiples,” Gong Jue Chen frankly said. ”However, I have checked your pulse several times recently, the last time was two days ago. Two days ago, I only noticed your energy and blood are quite vigorous, indicating possible pregnancy, but couldn’t be fully certain. Yet only two days later, your pulse not only clearly indicates pregnancy, but is exceptionally strong, as if you’ve been pregnant for two or three months. If it’s only one child, just two days wouldn’t produce such a pronounced pulse indicating pregnancy, so it should be multiples.”

Pausing for a moment, Gong Jue Chen continued, ”If you don’t believe your pulse is so pronounced now, you can summon the Imperial Physicians from your residence to see if your pulse is similar to that of someone two or three months pregnant.”

An Jing hadn’t spoken yet when Xiao Changyi already sent someone to summon all four Imperial Physicians.

The four Imperial Physicians checked An Jing’s pulse one by one, all particularly amazed, ”Queen, you this...”

Seeing all four Imperial Physicians looking astonished, An Jing finally believed Gong Jue Chen’s words, she should be pregnant with multiples again.

Unexpectedly pregnant with multiples again, An Jing was truly elated.

Xiao Changyi still had a bit of trouble accepting, ”What is this, hurry up and speak!”

One of the Imperial Physicians quickly said, ”Yesterday at 9 a.m., the ministers examined the Queen’s pulse, and it was not a slippery pulse. Today, the Queen’s pulse is not only a slippery pulse but also similar to that of someone two or three months pregnant. As for why, our medical skills are not precise, we dare not make assumptions rashly, please forgive us, Your Majesty.”
