COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Other side.

Since they hadn’t eaten yet, Hikigaya-kun went to eat with Sakayanagi.

But today we are not having steak, we are having Sukiyaki instead.

Although price is a little expensive, the taste is very good.

Hachiman thought he could record it and bring Karuizawa along next time.

”Sakayanagi-san, what do you want to talk to me about today?” Hikigaya asked very politely, since he wasn’t paying the bill.

”It seems now that Hikigaya-kun has become rich, he looks down on 100,000 points,” Sakayanagi’s response was very cold, she didn’t like being ghosted.

”....” Hachiman.

This means that he received the transfer, but did not take any immediate action or reply to her.

”Students in class were a little worried about the exam, so they started to form groups so as not to fall last,” Hachiman tried to explain himself.

But Sakayanagi seemed a little disdainful, ”No matter what class you are in, you were still born in Class D.”

”.....” Hachiman, who is currently in Class C.

In addition, quality of some students in class is worrying, so it is normal to be said like this.

Even Hachiman had deliberately formed a clique in front of everyone in morning, trying to bring in as many people as possible, but in end there were only 26 people in total.

There is really no reason to bring in the other 14.

”So did your class finish the exam quickly?” Hikigaya-kun decided to change the topic, he was getting afraid of Sakayanagi’s emotions being out of control.

Of course, it ended quickly.

Although Sakayanagi didn’t reply, Kamuro-san, who was eating a lot, was thinking about it.

At the same time, she was already thinking back to exam.

xxxxxxx

8 o’clock in morning.

Teacher Mashima came to classroom looking a little tired.

Then rules of the class voting to drop out of school were announced to everyone.

The exam is on Saturday, and there will be 4 morning class meetings for free discussions starting from now.

....Sakayanagi Arisu, who was sitting in the front, suddenly spoke up. ”So, name of student who will drop out of our class has been finalized. It’s Katsuragi-kun. So, do you have any objections?”

This was no joke, but an immediate decision for a mate to leave the class.

This made even Mr. Mashima, who was used to students in class fighting each other, was stunned.

In theory, teachers cannot interfere with students’ decisions.

All he has to do is record it.

The school does not even allow guidance.

The school hopes that students can freely develop their potential, and competition among classes is their best teacher.

Therefore, even if they are class teachers, do not really manage things.

For example, this one is the original Class A.

It was indeed a very sharp decision.

This is not the first time that Mr. Mashima has led Class A, but it cannot be denied that students in this year’s Class A are indeed different from previous ones.

Very decisive.

”Why Katsuragi-san?!”

Before Katsuragi could even speak, his follower Totsuka Yahiko immediately expressed his dissatisfaction, ”Sakayanagi, you are just deliberately seeking revenge on Katsuragi-san. He is so outstanding and he even voluntarily gave up his position as the representative. Is this how you repay Katsuragi-san? At the same time, given his long endurance and muscles, it is not his turn to drop out of school!”

Girls looked at him curiously, boys’s gazes as if staring at trash.

”???” Yahiko who got confused, he quickly looked at the other students, ”You and you...right, you are all companions of Katsuragi-san, right?”

Although number of Katsuragi faction members has been decreasing, who even took the initiative to transfer authority to Sakayanagi.

But he still has about ten staunch supporters.

So Yahiko Totsuka looked at these staunch supporters.

What surprised him this time was that some of Katsuragi faction members didn’t even look at him.

Even refusing to look him in the eye.

This... is problematic.

”Don’t be so angry,” Hashimoto stood up, the boy who had offended some members of Katsuragi faction during forest exam and extorted 1 million yen.

But even though people were in such a relationship, those who got extorted did not seem very angry when he stood up and spoke, ”Because you see-Last Forest ex---”

Growl! Growl!

”• •” Hashimoto, ’what the hell?’

”Look, after executing Katsuragi’s plan, our class gained nothing. Everyone paid an additional 100,000 points as protection money. This proves that Katsuragi is useless. He also said that he was responsible for past mistakes in guidance, so he gave the initiative of exam guidance to our Princess Sakayanagi.”

”Now the exam is underway, so what’s wrong with letting Princess Sakayanagi decide the plan? Or do you want to break contract, Katsuragi-kun?” Those last couple words of Hashimoto made bald head look down on the floor even more.

This incident actually happened.

Katsuragi originally thought Sakayanagi was too radical, but after coaching a few exams himself, he was every day overtaken by lower-ranked classes, and even fell to C during grade-wide sports.

So he thought it was time to let go and let radical Sakayanagi take his stage.

Through Sakayanagi’s hands, class returned to B. So, her strength is still certain.

”This is not a breach of contract, because how can Katsuragi-san be expelled directly?!” Yahiko was almost vomiting blood.

”That’s the truth. Since our princess has made her decision, of course we should follow her in order to get back into Class A,” Hashimoto was feeling very loyal today, ”Is there anyone who is dissatisfied? Those who are will become candidates for this withdrawal exam!”

”...”

This sentence is undoubtedly a threat.

Of course, people of Sakayanagi faction don’t have to worry.

”Hashimoto-kun, please don’t be so aggressive,” Sakayanagi said softly, she was still very cute, ”After all, this is about dropping out of school, so we still need to give you some time to think about it.”

While giving everyone some free time, she announced, ”Then I’ll give everyone one minute. I’ll give a few commands later. Those who don’t support Katsuragi-kun’s withdrawal, please raise your hands. The first person to raise will be unanimously expelled. I think everyone is important, so at this time, we can only eliminate those who don’t cooperate.”

Although her tone was gentle, everyone knew that she might really do it.

”That’s too much!” Yahiko stood up immediately.

He obviously found that some of Katsuragi’s past students were really shrinking.

Isn’t number of people in his womb now 11, and number of people in Sakayanagi’s Manor is 29?

It’s only a difference of 18 people.

Well, that’s a big gap indeed.

Is it necessary to be so scared?

People were not stupid enough to not realize that rules included both criticism and praise votes, so all you had to do was vote for praise for this scared person.

The final result is praise minus criticism, so there is no need to worry, everyone, just believe in Katsuragi-kun.

”Well, one minute is up,” Sakayanagi stood up with her cane, ”Now let me confirm, is there anyone who objects to Katsuragi-kun dropping out of school?”

No one....

”Yahiko-kun... you just kept making such a fuss, so are you going to drop out?”

”......!”

How could Yahiko-kun be willing to drop out of school?

”I, I--”

”Alright,” Looking at the nervous Yahiko beside him, Katsuragi stood up and said, ”Then it’s decided. If sacrificing me can protect the class, then as former representative, I have no choice but to do it.”

While saying that he was willing to follow instructions, Katsuragi looked at Sakayanagi with an extremely sharp and steady gaze, and said, ”I hope you can treat class well after I leave. Bring it back to A.”

”I would have done it without you telling me,” Sakayanagi gave him a polite smile, but her words were quite rude, ”Thank you for everything you have done for Class B. You have worked so hard until now. It’s been very difficult for your health.”

This smile is like an angel’s.

Sakayanagi doesn’t always keep her word, but fact that she can now directly tell Katsuragi to drop out of school shows that she has a lot of weight in this class.

When does it start?

There were 18 people standing next to him at first, but Katsuragi just counted and found that only about 10 people were worried.

In other words, his supporters have dropped sharply.

Moreover, he has already resigned from the position of class representative.

Since he has given up this authority, he naturally has to obey the other party’s instructions, otherwise he will be in breach of contract.

However, judging from the exam rules, Katsuragi didn’t feel like he had completely lost.

”So... do you guys want to discuss this further? I’ll give you the class meeting time....” Seeing that matter had been decided, Mr. Mashima coughed a little to break some tension.

”No need, Sensei. Our exams are over. We just have to wait for the official vote in 5 days. So can I request that following class meetings be changed to free periods?” Sakayanagi wasn’t asking much, her request quite innocent because who doesn’t like free time, she was also a teenager after all.

”.....” Mashima-sensei who felt the contrast in her behaviour just now.

”I see....” He understood that Sakayanagi would not change her decision to drop out of Katsuragi.

At the same time, he felt that Class B might become unstable again.

As a student who also graduated from this school, Mr. Mashima knows it very well.

’Katsuragi’s strength is certain, and many people are worse than him, so he definitely wouldn’t be willing to be expelled like this.

However, being targeted like this, Katsuragi will definitely find a way to help himself, so two factions are likely to continue fighting.

It is beneficial for Class B to fight against the outside world, but it is undoubtedly pretentious to rebel against the inside.’ But teachers cannot interfere with students’ decisions.

Mr. Mashima also remembered his mission.

Therefore, when other classes were busy discussing the withdrawal vote, B classroom was often empty.

The above is operation of the original Class A.

In fact, current Class A also quickly decided on the exam plan.

xxxxx

After the instructor, Ms. Hoshinomiya Chie, announced rules of the class vote, almost all the little angels in Class A fell into a daze.

Never thought there would be such a terrifying exam.

If about fail written test and drop out, they can work hard.

But, how could they just let them vote to criticize their classmates and then have him expelled from school?

”Is it possible that you were drunk and made a mistake?” As for Ichinose, she couldn’t accept the content of the exam and asked homeroom teacher for confirmation.

”So rude! No, I was pretty sober, and I tried very hard to stop it, but it seems there is no way home!” Chie really didn’t know what the hell was going on with the board of directors.

For united Class A, such an exam would be an act of destroying unity if anyone voted to criticize a classmate.

And voting for a classmate to drop out of school was just too cruel.

”It takes three people to get criticized. I think we should draw lots!” The second representative of class, Kanzaki Ryuji, exploded, ”It would be excessive no matter whose name is written, so let’s draw lots and decide the second and third people to be criticized. First person is the one who is criticized most.”

Kanzaki now closed his eyes, ”Everyone, please vote for me! Then you can choose to expel me directly, or collect 20 million points to revive me....”

This is Class A, which is contradictory but decisive.

xxxxxxx

As for Class D.

After Sakagami read out these rules digitally, class immediately went wild.

To them, exam is sick.

How can you let someone drop out of school so casually?

And if you want to drop out of school, who should you kick?

”Why do we have this kind of exam?”

”What should I do?”

”Fuck, I don’t even have friends...who is going to vote for me?!”

”Ryuen!”

”Ryuen, aren’t you going to be our representative again?” The classmates were immediately shocked.

”Shut up, you dimwits!” Ryuen kicked the table out directly, and whole class fell silent.

They were used to violence of Ryuen.

Often at times like this, he will definitely have a solution.

”If it were me in past, the plan would definitely be to collect all the points. But it’s a pity.” Ryuen sighed too in his heart, this exam was really bringing a feeling of dread, ”I only have over 3 million points on hand right now, and I have to use a portion of these as your living expenses for next month.....”
