COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Sitting in that position was the boy with dead eyes in past, but now with the buff of wearing glasses, he has become a little popular in the class.

Hikigaya Hachiman.

“???”

Chabashira looked in one direction.

You bitc----

He found even Koenji was now looking at his face with a scary expression.

“• ! •”

This exam is very cruel, but there are solutions to it.

So now that Hirata brought it up, she added, “You already knew rules of this school shortly after you entered.”

“Although no one has ever collected 20 million points in the past. But this rule given by school has been implemented many times.”

Chabashira noticed that everyone’s eyes were more focused on her, so she said, “20 million points. If you can prepare this amount, school can only cancel expulsion.”

With 20 million private points you can do whatever you want.

Just like forest exam last month, leaders of last three groups will be expelled from school.

Then a senior from third-year Class B dropped out, and Shiho Manabe from Class D also left.

However, only Asahina-senpai from Class A of second year was not expelled.

The reason is that her class collected 20 million points to save her.

Original academic status of Class 2-A was retained.

It still looks pretty good.

“This is a general rule. With 20 million points, you can go to class you want, and you can also avoid the expulsion penalty.”

“So this exam also follows same rule,” Chabashira added, “So, if you don’t want to lose your companions, then you should collect 20 million points.”

Twenty million points...huh?

This suggestion from Chabashira was not actually first time that everyone had heard it.

The person who proposed this plan was... Hikigaya-kun.

At this point, there was no need for Chabashira-sensei to look over.

As an observer of humans, Hikigaya-kun already knew what he had to do.

Some things, if you do them once, you will become proficient at second time.

So he just stood up.

“It’s time for another tough exam. But it’s not like our class doesn’t have a plan to avoid it. Or so I said a long time ago....” Hachiman looked at Chabashira-sensei, ”Can you give me some time now?”

“....” Sae-chan.

”Okay.” She nodded and walked down from the podium on her own initiative.

When Hikigaya-kun was about to stand up, she almost sat on him.

“.....” Hachiman.

Although he was somewhat speechless at Chabashira’s behavior, he still walked up to the podium.

“.....” Karuizawa-san....’Um...What’s going on?’

Because this kind of exam shouldn’t take up so much time in class.

The longer you delay, the more disrespectful you are to exam.

So, Hikigaya walked quickly to the podium.

He put his hands on the table.

“The rules of the exam are very simple. Voting is free. There are no criteria for judging. You can even vote according to your likes and dislikes.”

“It’s certainly very unfair to some students.”

“For example, Koenji Rokusuke, although he has contributed a lot to the class, there are also many people who don’t like him. Since voting is based on preference, so even if he is very capable, he may still get a lot of criticism votes.”

“Hmph.” Koenji-kun looked over when he realized that his name had been called out and that he was even criticized for having a bad reputation.

However, he did not speak.

Because he probably already understood what Hikigaya-boy wanted to do.

The exam this time was a bit strange, it didn’t seem like a regular, and this class was not one to be trifled with.

Koenji is afraid even the class representative could be dropped at will.

So it is best to end it early.

So he remained quiet and watched Hikigaya’s performance quietly.

And all he has to do is... cooperate.

The reason why he was so confident was that he gave points to Hikigaya during the previous sports festival.

At the same time.

Hikigaya-boy had been the one who had helped him along during forest exam, so it was clear there was still a time when he would be needed.

At the same time, Koenji did not think that he was being used just to fill the place for expulsion.

“So what we need to do is to make an agreement that we can’t vote arbitrarily, but have a compliance standard.” Actually, Hachiman was now just saving his own ass.

’I bloody well knew it! Mmph!’ Kushida-chan also knows it very well.

At this time, Karuizawa, who was sitting in the front row, suddenly spoke up, “For example, based on the degree of contribution to the class?”

Shinohara, who is also part of her team, immediately spoke up, “Karuizawa-san is right. Our class finally made it to A. Although we have now fallen to Class C, we still have a chance to make it and graduate as Class A!”

“Wouldn’t it be a stupid move to randomly drop out backbone of the class just because of their hobbies?” As always, this Shinohara-san still seems to have a strong sense of justice.

This aspect has been taken into consideration.

Actually, that’s not case.

Because if they really vote according to their preferences, she will become dangerous.

At least, hot girl group of Karuizawa is self-aware and knows that some boys in class don’t like them, and some girls in class also think they are difficult to get along with.

If we go by class contribution, their little team of hot girls is definitely a lot of help.

During sports festival, followed Hikigaya-kun’s request and entered everyone’s physical data into an intuitive Excel spreadsheet.

Later, because Suzune’s leg was injured, Chiaki Matsushita was arranged to be a substitute.

In end, class won third place in the relay race.

And Matsushita also belongs to their hot girl team. With this binding, she becomes safe in terms of contribution.

So this is self-protection.

This is because if petty voting criteria were removed, they would not be expelled.

“It’s not a good idea to cut people off like this!” At this time, Ike hurriedly used his mouth to sway random hearts.

Because if we exclude preferences and instead grade based on contribution to the class or the student’s ability, then he would be at the bottom.

So either Yamauchi or he dropped out of school.

Don’t do this kind of thing.

So, Ike also chose to protect himself.

“I think a one-size-fits-all approach is good,” Yamauchi then said, ”For example, I have made contributions. During sports, I also helped class get points. I was not among the bottom ten!”

But your academic ability is the worst.

How many people hate you, Yamauchi?

So no matter what standard you use, you are the most dangerous one.

As a result, you feel nothing and still feel good about yourself?

Ike felt how stupid it was to treat Yamauchi as a friend in past. Yamauchi is now in crisis without even realizing it.

Hikigaya-kun got the floor and continued speaking.

“If our class wants to graduate as A or maintain its current living expenses, it needs the support of a strong core force....For example, Horikita-san and Kushida-san.”

“They are the backbone of our class. I think it would be very stupid to exp----”

“....” Kushida-chan.

“....” Suzune.

Suddenly her name is called, and Kushida thinks Hikigaya-kun is poisonous.

Why was her name called out in this kind of expulsion situation? But she wasn’t worried about being expelled.

But as for Suzune, if it is based on preferences, there are some classmates who don’t like her aloof personality.

For example, in the previous rumor incident, if someone didn’t dislike Suzune, rumor would not have spread in class, instead of causing her to miss a day of class passively.

When Horikita Suzune’s name was called, she didn’t show much expression.

Knowing there are other people who are badly reputed in class, she didn’t have to worry about herself being in the last position.

“The same goes for Karuizawa-san. She is a member of the student council. Being able to join means she has approval of the President. If we expel her, wouldn’t that be a slap in the face of Student council? It’s even more blind!”

Hikigaya continued using his poison to hurt other people’s brain.

“At the same time, everyone can see the strength of Koenji-kun. We can get so much living expenses because Koenji-kun has made an indispensable contribution, and Hirata-kun has also been working hard for the class!”

Oh? Kushida-chan just thought that Hikigaya-kun was poisonous, but now she suddenly realizes this was not case.

Hikigaya-kun is popularizing power of ”backbone of the class” to everyone, which means issuing a golden ticket to immunity from death.

“Then Sudo-kun. No one can deny his hard work and contribution in the sports. Even plain Ayanokoji-kun and Onodera-san. Without their scoring, our class wouldn’t have been able to get a seat in Class A,” Hikigaya-kun read out the names.

“• •” Kiyopon was noticing. ’Did you have to mention plain. Now girls definitely won’t give m----’

“Then Sato-san. During sports, she also resolutely obeyed and came on as a substitute...”

”Hikigaya-kun!”

Although his emotional intelligence is very low, Sudo also discovered at this time that students whose names Hikigaya read out are all popular in the class and have strengths in all aspects.

So if he joins list, then he will be safe too?

In written examination that just ended, Sudo scored around 36 points in all five subjects.

The average score of class was 27 points, which was passing score that was achieved by top students.

Therefore, if one drops out of school simply based on academic ability, then it would be quite dangerous.

Sato, who didn’t interact much with students in her class, also felt relieved.

Hikigaya continued to read,

“Chiaki Matsushita, who also performed well in sports. Although she was competing with President in the last round, she still got points for our class—”

“Even though his athletic ability isn’t great, Yukimura-kun has given everyone remedial lessons, even during the holidays, hoping that no student will fall behind. I think it would be a foolish move to drop him out.....”

“Of course, what I just talked about are students who are academically gifted or have athletic abilities, as well as those who have made contributions.”

“But, I think some students have changed a lot since they entered school. For example, Sakura-san, she studied hard and got an average score of 50 in this exam, which is surprising...”

Very quickly.

Everyone in class noticed that Hikigaya-kun had already called out more than twenty names.

Almost half of students felt relieved.

There were also a number whose names were not called and they felt a little uneasy.

But there was one student who had been holding himself back for a long time.

Because Hikigaya read out so many students’ names, he was able to more or less confirm the efforts and abilities of these students.

Hikigaya-kun, what you are doing is...

Make sure to confirm that one person has dropped out. This kind of thing... Hirata-kun is about to stand up!

“Of course, these are students I don’t recommend dropping out. This is also where I hope you can calm down. If these students choose to drop out after this kind of exam, it would be extremely stupid. We have all been promoted to Class A. If the backbone is eliminated, it will be a joke to the entire school. We can become a laughing stock for everybody, and no one wants that right?”

But Hikigaya-kun quickly said at this time. “In fact, as Chabashira-sensei said, there is a solution to exam, which is to collect 20 million points. Then as long as we pay, we can ensure the integrity of our class.”

“And this.” Hachiman glanced at Hirata-kun who seemed to be losing control of himself.

Sakura felt somewhat relieved when her name was called.

Fortunately, Chabashira-sensei is now sitting in Hikigaya’s seat, very near to Suzune.

Otherwise, Sakura would definitely not be in the mood to listen to Hikigaya’s plan, but would be too pressured by homeroom teacher being right next to her to dare to breathe.

Hikigaya-kun continued, “I already said that during exam in forest. I’ve spent some of my points to protect people of our class, so now I only have about 4 million points left....” he seems to be getting very emotional, “But I love this class very much.”

“So if we go with the 20 million point plan to save my classmates, I’m willing to donate all the 4 million points,” Hikigaya is a good person, “Then everyone just needs to gather 16 million, and that’s 400,000 points per person.”

”Hikigaya-kun!” Hirata’s heart sank when he heard long list just now.

As glue of the class and a person with high emotional intelligence, Hirata’s mother immediately realized there was something wrong with the list that Hikigaya-kun had just read out.

Because this list does not refer to how much contribution they have made or how capable they are, but rather, it refers to the fact that Hikigaya-kun has gathered certain people together in front of the whole class to form a large group.

We all share honor and disgrace.

Directly form cliques and engage in personal gain in person.

Joining is safety. Such a move would undoubtedly divide the class.

So he was very surprised that Hikigaya-kun was willing to use the plan of the students who did not drop out to prepare for the exam again.

This made Hirata feel that he had wronged Hikigaya-kun.

People below began to whisper.

Because Hikigaya’s statement that he was willing to donate 4 million was shocking.

“It seems that Hikigaya-boy really loves this class.”

At this time, another voice chimed in.

“Then I will donate 2 million as well for you mortals.” Koenji Rokusuke, who was originally listening quietly to Chabashira-sensei’s explanation of the exam rules, but now he has taken out a mirror and looking at his face.

“Koenji-kun!” Hirata-kun’s eyes were filled with so much tears, he almost bend down on his knees, to suck his dick.

Because, the difficulty of 20 million was reduced at once, and only 14 million was needed.

Several people have already noticed something is wrong.

If you know Hikigaya and Koenji, you will know these two people would rather eat expensive meals or spend a lot of money to buy things for themselves, but will never donate money to others for nothing.

’This is probably because they want to keep the cat,’ Kushida-chan rudely thought to herself.

It had only been a few days since she last looked at Hikigaya-kun’s student ID card, so she knew very well there was not 4 million left in account, but tens of millions.

So in order to prevent being morally blackmailed, he deliberately threw away the points.

In other words, in order to prevent his classmates from knowing that he has more than 20 million points, he deliberately downplayed his points and even pretended to donate them.

This is to prevent people from saying, ”Since Hikigaya has 20 million points, just invest in him, and he will definitely come up with the money himself.”

Although this statement may sound outrageous at first, Kushida-chan has no doubt that it is possible here.

’So, you didn’t want to take route of 20 million to protect classmates, but to block this route. Now, this proposal will certainly be scrapped.’ Kushida-chan was not too stupid.

Because she knew that students in her class were not willing to let Class D pay 100,000 each for the previous forest exam, so how could they possibly pay another 400,000 or 500,000?

’Therefore, Hikigaya-kun actually didn’t want to pay a penny. Same is true for Koenji..... Doesn’t that mean, he is worthy of being called ’Boss’’ Now it seems that, she felt a bit happy for working under him like a good secretary.
