COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Fingers just didn’t seem to put a hold.

The subject for this exam is Japanese, and questions cannot be done casually, they require thinking and speculation.

Swish! Swish!

Sakagami found that Hachiman did not stop writing at all. As for the ancient poems and words, he did not even look at them, but just picked up the pen and started writing.

Not only that.

Observing him, found that Hachiman finished reading the classical Japanese text in less than 3 minutes.

This time, it was selected from the annotated version of Oshi no Ko.

Hikigaya frowned slightly, but his hands did not stop and he began to answer.

It contains a large amount of ancient musical characters and lyrics.

For the average Japanese high school student, pressure is overboard.

Just imagine, how would a Japanese high school student feel when seeing an article full of Manga characters?

But Hikigaya didn’t pause and started answering the questions.

“…”

The speed is very fast, just like writing only ABC.

’Don’t you even take some time to think about and translate classical Japanese before answering?’

“…”

As a qualified teacher, and someone who came from Class A in past, Sakagami himself also has the good qualities.

In short, his academic ability is not bad, otherwise he would not have worn this pair of glasses all year round.

He quickly checked this article, which was about Ai’s mother getting arrested for a theft charge.

Some difficult-to-understand words in the article were given hints in form of ”notes”.

The test questions required a lot of reading.

Even Sakagami began to check the notes, ’The answer is ABC.’

“…”

He found that his answer was the same as one Hachiman had written in 2 minutes. ’This guy... doesn’t even need to think?’

Sakagami was depressed again. He took a fancy to Ryuen, who gave him the motivation to move forward, but Ryuen failed.

He was defeated by Hikigaya Hachiman in front of him.

According to Ryuen, Hikigaya also cheated him out of nearly 40 million.

He continued to observe.

Hachiman started writing the essay.

But he had only written two sentences when teacher frowned.

Because the arguments raised by other party are very standard answers.

There aren’t even many words.

’Did this guy eat Copying Toast for breakfast or something?’ Sakagami was just thinking about this when he saw Hachiman doing the next question.

Oh no, here, this question seems to be different from standard answer, but it looks like one.

It is different from the answer prepared for test paper, but as a teacher, he cannot deduct any points from Hachiman.

Then he looked at Hachiman in a daze as he saw that he had already started writing the last question while others were still doing the ordinary multiple-choice questions.

“…”

They are all standard correct answers.

“…”

For the first time.

As a person who has studied hard, he knows very well that someone who can do this must not only be a top student who has worked hard, but must also be very talented. It should be said that he is a genius!

After finishing the questions, Hachiman started to cross out some correct answers, otherwise he would have scored 98 points.

In other words, you can start from 98 points and manipulate it to the score you want.

For this exam, Suzune was probably asked by Hirata not to get a high score, hoping to give the poor students a way out.

However, Suzune did not let down the Japanese language test.

In other words, Suzune has challenged him, and it would be impolite for him to win.

Hachiman had just been declared war on by excited Sakayanagi, and he didn’t want angry Horikita to rush into his room and declare war as well.

“Why are you----”

However, as an invigilator, Sakagami should have remained quiet and serious during the invigilation process, but voice of the teacher now destroyed everyone’s examination environment, “Why are you assigned to Class D when you are obviously a material for Class A?!”

This scene made candidates’ jaws drop.

Hikigaya Hachiman was judged not to belong to Class D, or rather he should belong to A.

Admittedly, he led everyone to be promoted to Class A, so he might belong to A, but most students still did not think that Hachiman was much better.

Because Hikigaya-kun is always there during the make-up classes.

But, Sakagami’s inability to understand became a laughing stock.

And this was just an episode in the exam, and most of students continued to write like a good person.

The exam lasted for two days, and students had almost no time to rest, not even for Kushida-chan to run her mouth.

All that could be heard in the classroom was the sound of people answering questions.

Exam is over.

Then time came to 30th, the day when test papers were marked.

Exam will be on 27th-28th, and results out on 30th.

The school has always been very efficient.

“The results will be announced next. Don’t worry, no one failed this time,” Although Chabashira-sensei had been rather stern-faced recently, her expression today seemed to have melted a little.

At the same time, she also brought first good news to her students.

“It’s really great.”

“I was still worried after the test.”

”Me too, I was so nervous that I didn’t even finish filling out the answer sheet. I was so afraid of failing.”

“Me too, I wrongly translated Eihwaz to Code white.”

Although there was still a lot of noise below, Chabashira did not try to stop them.

Instead, she posted the report card directly on the blackboard.

The results are very fixed.

Excellent students are still ranked at the top, and although poor students have received tutoring, gap between them is still unbridgeable, so very large.

And result was just as Chabashira-sensei had said, no one failed.

“You have done good,” It was very rare that Chabashira, who seldom smiled, as she fully displayed the report card, and glanced towards corner of the classroom window out of the corner of her eye.

“…”

Hachiman felt a kind of indescribable feeling.

He knew exactly why Chabashira-sensei was in a good mood today.

“N-No......fucking way!”

The classmates who checked their own grades first suddenly saw a grade that shouldn’t be, which was in same column as top students.

Because they were entrusted by Hirata, in this exam, except for Koenji who scored 60 points in all subjects, other top students only scored 51.

However, the only subject where people achieved high scores was Japanese.

Horikita Suzune, the recognized academic master, scored 97 points.

But underneath her name was a new one.

Hikigaya Hachiman scored 95 points.

Then came the scores of ordinary students who were not asked by Hirata to control their scores, with the highest score being 66, followed by several top students with 51 points each.

Then are the scores of ordinary students, which are in the 30s and 40s.

Not only that.

Everyone noticed that in other subjects, Hikigaya’s scores were all placed at 51 points.

Hey Hey hey.

In other words, are you, Hikigaya Hachiman, also learning from other top students and starting to control your scores?

Or.

Hikigaya Hachiman suddenly jumped from being a poor student to having grades close to those of top students.

95 points!

As for his neighbor, Suzune just put her hands on her knees.

When teacher announced the results, she did not look for her name immediately because she knew very well how many points she could get.

In the subject of Japanese, which she did not let off, she felt that she did very well.

She acknowledged Hikigaya’s strength in Japanese, otherwise she wouldn’t have asked him to help with test paper in the previous paired exam.

And this time, she was a little worried whether the other party could get full marks in Japanese subject.

But judging from the results now, no.

“You’ve done pretty well,” Suzune began to learn Kushida’s acting skills.

Hikigaya-kun attended her study session, so now she has to prove to those poor students who don’t like to study that taking extra classes is useful.

“But my hopes are dashed,” Only, she gave him a grin, “I really thought you could do better than me in Japanese subject.”

Suzune gave him a junior look, as if she was really standing on a cold flower mountain.

Is it?

Hachiman didn’t believe her. If he had really passed the test, she would have been furious.

Because although Hikigaya attended her study sessions before the exam, he did not study.

In other words, you take exam without preparation.

But Suzune has been studying this subject very hard recently.

“But,” She seemed a little embarrassed, “You really did what I said to cash out the results of study session, so I’m actually very happy. Arigato....”

The tone is quite frank.

’Um....So isn’t it possible that Horikita-chan is easy to get along with sometimes?’ The poor students around her finally realized it. ’So Hikigaya-kun is studying according to what Horikita-san said?’

Even during holidays, people saw Hikigaya and Horikita going to the library to borrow books. ’Sure enough, hard work pays off.’

When started to get out of class.

Hachiman was immediately surrounded by his classmates, and it could be said that he received special attention from poor students.

Sudo ran over directly because Hachiman and he were in the same group and studied together, but latter got a high score.

But, Sudo still flew dangerously past the red dot line.

Hachiman pretended to be relaxed and glanced at Suzune, who stood up knowingly because the current scene was what she wanted to see.

The other students in her study club had little fighting spirit, so she asked Hachiman to deliberately express himself, showing that [study clubs are useful], [study makes me happy], and [I love studying], and then bring about a positive guiding effect, allowing other students to study spontaneously.

This way, she might not have to make such study sessions anymore, and others should study on their own.

Get more lonely.

It’s a very positive effect.

Even if intention was good, this was just acting, so Suzune finally felt embarrassed and walked outside.

“Hey, Hikigaya, what on earth did you do to be so strong?!”

“Can you give me some tips?”

Hachiman had already prepared a response, “I think it’s because I just attended Horikita’s study session. Although you are in the same group as me, your enthusiasm is too low. The more you study, the more you get excited. As long as you have fun, you can learn well—”

“But how could you survive Horikita-san’s compass? I was stabbed three time! Three, Hikigaya-kun!”

Questions like this were constantly being asked around Hachiman.

“I am sure her kisses when everyone left made the pain go away.....”

Um...

“I study for 10 hours a day.....”

”Hey!” But many people were scared again.

Because Hikigaya-kun, you have become exactly like Horikita-san.

How, how can you study for 10 hours a day?!

xxxxx

There are a lot of poor students in Class B of first grade, and they are facing a written examination.

But no one dropped out.

On the one hand, it is all thanks to Hirata, who required 13 students, both the top and above-average to score near 50 points in all subjects.

So it lowered the average score.

At same time, school was not so cruel and were some easy-score questions on the test paper.

Obviously, intention is not to screen out the poor students all at once.

However, Hachiman didn’t think that next time when school prepare the written test paper, there would be so many easy-to-score questions.

Therefore, if you really want to stay in this school, you must not only learn to use your brain and be flexible, but also have a certain level of academic ability.

No matter from what angle, learning well is a hardware.

Thinking so.

When he had nothing to do, he would sit in a cafe and read books.

These were the most popular ones borrowed from the library to appreciate tastes of ordinary students, so now he was just casually cultivating his sentiments.

“Even though he received such a grand salary, you still looked frugal. It’s very rare......”

A voice reached out.
